Delicious. I am still salivating thinking about the goat cheese and fig jam on bruschetta.
We had limited time. Our waitress was very accomodating. Great food. We will definitely be back for a more relaxed supper in the future.
A beautiful restaraunt perfect for celebrating a special occasion without being pretentious. Delicious appetizers (we had the goat cheese and fig bruschetta and it was divine!) The servers were knowledgeable, warm and efficient.
The location and service was very nice. The goat cheese and fig bruschetta was an excellent start but the meal that followed unfortunately did not maintain that same level. The gazpacho was tasty and my wife’s cod entree was also nice. The gnocchi entree was rather bland and dry and just OK. The sides of caramelized Brussels sprouts was way too sweet and the fennel was overly rich.
I would ... consider ... a return trip but there are a lot of other choices for this price range that I would try first. Sorry that I cannot give a better review as I wanted to really like it.
We have an Italian Restaurant since 1963, we will be back. Great food, wine & service, and I didn’t cook it. Manga, beve & vivi bene. (Eat, drink & live well)
I always love Via Vite. The location is perfect - downtown Cincinnati right on Fountain Square. The food is always excellent. Authentic Italian with great options and specials.
Way overpriced for the quality of food. Service was fine, location was good. The food was mediocre at best.
It's been a while since we ate at Via Vite, I'd forgotten how good it was. The location in the midst of a busy and active square leads you to expect mediocre fare, living off the crowd. True of some neighbors but not Via Vite.
The gnocchi was wonderful. We also had the yellow pepper soup and it was very good.
Wonderful experience for my wife's retirement
Food was delicious and our server was knowledgable, attentive and ver polite. Received a delicious dessert for my birthday.
Everything was excellent. Friend from Atlanta enjoyed it very much. Thanks for continuing to provide a nice dining experience.
Nothing special. Very small portions.
excellent food and service, a little nosiey, but will be back many times.
Very slow service and food was just satisfactory at best.
Food was very salty.
Service was excellent. We ordered the lamb shank and bolognese. Both were outstanding!
Tomatoes in salad were not ripe and pasta was undercooked, even for al dente. Good location and service, but pricy and food quality less than average.
Very good penne bolognese with meatball. Bread was a little tough. Good drinks. Nice complimentary dessert for my birthday.
Over all the food was just average can’t say we would probably go there again the actual restaurant I thought was OK super cute patio and a great location just wish the food was tastier and explained more on the menu what the items were
Waited for 15 minutes for 1 glass of wine.
Waited 20 minutes for lukewarm soup.
Waited 45 minutes for our appetizer and was unable to eat it because it came without the crostini. Waited 10 more minutes and left.
The manager gave a lame attempt to help satisfy us. Wanted to send us something. Sorry, were from Chicago. That won’t work. We loved his comment, “you know how busy things get after a game?” Seriously, there were maybe a 100 customers in the restaurant. I’ve been to much busier restaurants and never had bad service like I did here.
server was really good. the service was super slow, though...we were there almost three hours for dinner.
Excellent food for the price. The goat cheese salad is fantastic for anyone who likes goat cheese.
Overall it was ok. Food was mediocre at best. Music was extremely loud. Tables are so close it was an obstacle course heating out. Location is great. Poor waitress was assigned far too many tables. She was delightful but overwhelmed.
It was an okay experience. Food was pretty good and the space is great, but our server completely forgot we were there. It all felt very awkward and left us underwhelmed.
Great place with a great outdoor atmosphere and timely food service!
Via vitae never disappoints us. We are always trying something new and our waitress Katie was outstanding. There are many restaurants that could learn from via vite today I’m at the definition of good services
Always a wonderful experience, thank you.
We were there early, in advance of a baseball game, so it was pretty empty and quiet.
The food was delicious, as always. Can’t go wrong with the penne or lamb shank, but I went with something lighter: the soup of the day (yellow pepper) and a fresh salad on top of air dried beef. Yummy.
Our waitress was terrific, atmosphere was urban and cool, noise level fine. It was a nice evening. However,
the selection of dishes on the menu was limiting. I ended up having a salad with a side of the fennel (which was delicious), but I didn't find that to be a satisfying pairing for dinner.
I have eaten here many times and usually the service is very good but today it was off. The server forgot to bring me my drink and I had to remind her. Then our food took forever to get delivered and when it did come to the table our entrées came to us before our salads and appetizers. There was just a lot of disorganization and confusion. Everybody has a bad day and this is not typical of my experience at this restaurant during other visits but the service was not great tonight
We were on a time crunch due to the fact we were going to a show. But the food was cold not as good as usual. Service was awful, she was not friendly and didn’t care about us at all. And in the appetizer there was a hair in it and usually I would have said something but I did not because I did not have time to do so. Overall disappointed about the experience and I’m a regular to this restaurant.
Excellent food and service, will be back.
We enjoyed another fabulous meal last Saturday before attending a show at the Aronoff. Our meal started with a wonderful bread, creamy cheese, heirloom tomatoes, and olive oil appetizer. Delicious! We moved on to the Amish chicken and fish entree’s and added the Brussels sprouts. They are not to be missed! Too much food for us to finish. We’ll be back!
Went to Via Vite prior to a Reds game celebrating with my wife and our nephew. Food was excellent ... my nephew and I had the sausage pasta dish which was spicy and tasty. My wife had another pasta dish that was just as expected ... tasty but not too spicy. We shared the meatball appetizers ... delicious. Server was very good ... friendly, great service, but not over the top. We will be back.
As usual perfect size for servings for lunch before a show.
Food poor service excellent
From the moment we were greeted by the hostess to our server, we felt welcome and given very personal service. The food was outstanding and the advice on wine pairing was perfect!
Extremely loud and way over priced. 11$ for a glass of wine and there was an inch of it. Not for me.
