It was a great Father’s Day lunch, all the food was amazing and great service
The service was exceptional, the staff were really kind, patient and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious as well and the owner came by the table to check on us as well. In addition, the portions were just right. Will definitely go back there on a regular basis.
Excellent service and excellent food. Perfect for celebrating a special occasion.
Great choice for options apps and cocktails or a full meal will not disappoint
Good food but overpriced. 24 bucks for chk parm and 4 dollars for a small coke is too much.
Restaurant did a nice job with outdoor dining. Waiter was very nice but didn't follow requests. We asked for my wife's fish to have no pepper or lemon, but it came with both. The restaurant did re-cook. My sauce was supposed to be fra diavolo but was just tomato sauce. The buraratta special was excellent and as represented. Wine list pretty average. Ambience nice.
It was Mother’s Day and we took our mom to eat. Everything was great.
The restaurant was exceptional, service and food were perfect. Waiter always checked on us, water was always refilled when needed. The experience was great!
Great service! Arrived on time and had to wait 5 minutes … expected that since it was raining and Mother’s Day!
Birthday was perfect
Prices have gone up, but that’s becoming the norm following covid hell; happy to support a locally owned small business providing ample options to dine safely and enjoy top-notch Italian. Everything was prepared from scratch with care and the flavors were jumping off the plate. Service was attentive and professional, and the outdoor dining area was decorated with beautiful lights and plants. Well-spaced. There is also an “indoor-outdoor” space with heaters (door open for airflow).
Everything about this place is great. I went for a date and it was the perfect setting for us. I will definitely come back.
Nice lunch. Pizza with Prosciutto was very good with a slightly carbonized crust that was very flavorful. Branzino al Limone - well prepared and served with very good masked potatoes.
Excellent food and service. We each ordered a different plate and were all so happy with out choice. Great ambiance and outdoor set up. I look forward to returning.
Wonderful service and the food is consistently good. Couldn't think of a better place to have an Easter meal with my family. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy a delicious meal!
My wife and I had Easter Dinner here. It was my second time visiting this restaurant, the first time about 4 years ago. I am always on the lookout for authentic Italian food in a neighborhood that used to have an abundance of fine Italian restaurants but is now in competition with pricier parts of the City for trendy and overpriced establishments that are here today and gone tomorrow and seem to cater to fashion models on starvation diets. Via Trenta provides consistently good Italian food at prices that are comparable to what you will pay in Manhattan or Brooklyn, but without the pretentiousness. The service is good without being overbearing and it’s a pleasure to be able to walk home without enduring traffic or subways. The atmosphere is inviting, causal without the hipster grunge. As someone who grew up on Italian cuisine, and who knows what he’s eating, I would recommend.
Lovely setting, excellent food and service, outstanding specials !Spicy black linguini with lobster and shrimp, branzino , orrechette, veal marsala, all delicious!reasonable priced wines! Good Covid protocols!
Food was OK, nothing special. Small portions, pricey ($20 for a one-person margarita pizza, barely two slices worth of food). Welcome by management was at best indifferent, bordering on rude. Need to learn a little bit of professionalism.
I ordered the rigatoni bolognese, I was good but the portion was very small for the price.
Always amazing service and presentation! Food quality has never faltered
Flavor of food was great. However a bit bland. The "spicy" squid ink pasta that the server even warned me would be spicy, had no bite to it at all- I thought they forgot to put any spices in!
Desserts however, are phenomenal. Highly recommend the chocolate mousse: one of the best I've ever had
Via Trenta was a wonderful spot. Great food, amazing service.
This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in years. A completely empty restaurant and they demanded my date and I order $25 each (we had only wanted wine, appetizers and desserts) which is fine - I get it, they need to stay in business - but the way they told us, hovering over our table, putting bill in front of us, was so rude and inappropriate. I am a former travel writer at The Times. I’ve never had such a negative restaurant experience in all my travels.
Incredible food and lovely ambiance. I do wish the wine list was a little more robust, but I'll definitely be coming back
The menu is very creative - not just the standard Italian dishes. The staff is friendly and very helpful.
we had a awesome time. great vibe. social distance was well maintained and the staffs were very friendly. definitely coming back! :)
We are not sure why we haven't found this place earlier! They have been there since 2011 and happy we decided to make a reservation last night! Service was 5 Stars! Samuel was our server. Between Him, the Manager and the rest of the staff, we were waited on hand and foot. We had a bottle of wine and the glasses were always full, beet salad is delish! I had the mushroom pasta & he had the seafood squid ink pasta.... it was so rich in flavor! For dessert we had the Ricotta Cheesecake.... exquisite! Thank you Via Trenta! We will tell everyone about this place and will definitely be back!
Customer service is excellent. As well as superb wine selection.
I’ve been here with friends and family and we all love the food. Everything is delicious and the servers are very attentive. I’ve always enjoyed my meals here! My favorite thing to order is the Pappardelle ai Funghi Selvatici (wild mushroom ribbon pasta with truffle butter sauce) and the octopus!!!!! Anything with burrata I love, as well :) I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place. I don’t live in astoria but I always love coming here to stop by the restaurant!!!
I love dining at Via Trenta. The food is always superb, the service is always above and beyond. My only complaint was that we had to keep listening to the phone ringing. Other than that, it was a great experience and very happy to be back to indoor dining.
It was very nice, from beginning to end it was special
The food and the service was great. But we were seated at an outside table and though it was covered I was cold the whole night. They should be more specific that when you request an indoor table you might still be sat at an outside table table.
It was truly disappointing to be cold and uncomfortable the whole night. I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this restaurant to eat again after this experience. At least not until it’s warm again.
A birthday dinner at Via Trenta is a great choice. Food is very tasty. Service is attentive and quick. Was very pleased with our visit.
Great Italian with gracious service, a must try.
We arrived for our reservation and were told our table for indoor dining was given to someone else and we would have to sit in the outdoor dining area.
Always great food, warm service and a they created a very nice outdoor dining experience/structure that is not cold like most other places. Definitely recommend to anyone in the city or the area to try.
Excellent Birthday dinner!!
Great food, great service, nice place to celebrate a birthday. We will go again for sure. Artichoke appetizer was out of this world.
This was an amazing find during Covid. Great location with plenty of ventilation and wonderful heaters.
The staff was wonderful very attentive and appreciative all at the same time.
Food was phenomenal I would go back in a heartbeat!!
Went for a first date. We were rushed to order but after that the service was great. The food was outstanding. And for being outside in January it was very comfortable. I will definitely be back.
