Via Trenta in Astoria is a memorable Italian experience. Both the cuisine and the atmosphere are classic Italian. Via Trenta serves lunch, dinner and a weekend brunch.
The brunch offered by Via Trenta Osteria & Wine Bar is perfect for regenerating after a busy week. Relax with the overstuffed French toast with prosciutto cotto and fontina with a glass of bellini, prosecco, or a mimosa or Bloody Mary. The frittata choices are over the top as well with ingredients such as homemade mozzarella and wild mushrooms. At dinner, whether you choose the braised lamb shank, the boneless Pekin duck breast or something else, the experience will be memorable.

Great service and amazing food selection. Everything came out on a timely manner.
My husband and I experienced our first trip to Astoria while moving our son in from KY and this restaurant did not disappoint us. The owner Tommy was gracious and warm. To say the food was good is an understatement. We had the tuna tartare and smoked salmon as appetizers and they were delicious! We split the warm beet salad with caramelized red onions with spinach which was light and tasty. My husband had the wild boar ossobuco which was tender and full of flavor. I had the baby clams with flat spaghetti in a white wine sauce which was perfectly cooked. We sampled the creme brûlée and tiramisu which were the best we have ever had. The wine list was ample and the waiter attentive to ensure the glasses were filled.
We will visit this restaurant next time we are in town and highly recommend it for all occasions. It may be one of the best Italian restaurants we have ever had the pleasure dining in!
Everything was delicious...Really good reviews that measured up to expectation.
Excellent food at reasonable prices. The staff are very friendly and personable. A great neighborhood restaurant.
I found Via Trenta listed on Open Table. The reviews were great so, I went with it. We were meeting friends who live in NJ. We ALL enjoyed our evening!
Way overpriced for the food and extremely noisy. Having said that, the food was delicious.
Amazing food, great drinks, affordable price. Legit Italian food with really professional waiters.
Good food - good service - a little pricy .........................................................
My turn to choose a restaurant to go to with BFF (who's a true foodie) and we enjoyed everything!
everything was perfect and our waiter Fabio was bravissimo!
I didn’t get the 1,000 opentable rewards!!!
Food was excellent and service was very good. Everyone in our party of 11 enjoyed themselves— including 3 children under 5. Highly recommend this well-priced, rustic Italian restaurant in Astoria.
Love this place. This was our second time here and it was just as amazing as the first. The food is incredible a real hidden gem.
Great ambiance, food and service.
Tight space but excellent food at a pretty good value.
Very, very good food! Service was exceptional too!
Met my daughter’s boyfriend for the first time.
As usual food and service were terrific.
Best italian restaurant I’ve been to. Very flavorful but small portions will be back
This place is officially my favorite Italian Restaurant in Astoria.
I am torn about this review. The service was good, albeit a bit choppy at times. The tables were a little too close for my liking--they cram people together even with other spots open (??). I do have to give them props for the strong wine list and for the most part, the dishes we had were well prepared and tasty.
Except for one. There was an advertised special--fettuccine with freshly shaved truffles for $30. Sounds simple, decadent, and mouthwatering, right? I was down for a splurge #treatyoself. Sadly, what we got was a pile of pasta with a few measly slices of truffle that came from a jar (wet, flaccid, and lacking any oomph of umami). I have had this dish before and know what it should have been--this was an insult to fresh truffles and my tastebuds. I think this is shady and have a hard time justifying going back/recommending when there are so many other authentic restaurants in Astoria.
Brought family here for Saturday dinner. One of the better Italian spots in Astoria. Awesome wine list, and daily specials are worth trying. Servers were extremely attentive and we were treated to a complimentary champagne toast for dessert. Not a huge place (especially when restricted to indoors only) so make a reservation. Will come again!
Via Trenta is my GO TO Italian spot. I grew up in a very Italian family and this place is so amazing. Everything I have gotten from this restaurant has been delicious. I bring friends and family here and they all love it and want to come back. The staff is great, the food is cooked wonderful, and we loved eating earlier on because we had the entire place to ourselves before the rush came. This place is a MUST GO.
Great food and service. I am planning to go back soon.
We made a reservation New Years eve. At first it was a reservation for two but my mother and son were added to our reservation. They were very accommodating and gave us a table for four. We had the prosciutto and the artichoke appetizers. My mother had the fillet mignon, my wife had the seafood plate, and I had the organic salmon. All dishes were great!
