Great atmosphere, great wine. Extensive menu choices.
Everything was tasty and perfect...had the seating been made with more padding for comfort, (not good for sitting long periods for hip/back injuries), I would have enjoyed it so much more. Really enjoyed the beet salad and crab cakes.
Great food and value; great service. We'll be back.
We all loved it. Excellent food, lovely ambience, prompt and effective service.
Service was great. Food was better. Been going here for easter vigil dinner for about 6 years. Always enjoy our experience and will keep the tradition.
Enjoyable location for family gathering! Somewhat too loud & echoing for older diners.
Second visit in a few months and everything was as good as the last time, or better. Service was attentive but not in your face. The spinach salad was ample and enough for two to share. Hubby had the scampi and was finally happy to find more than enough shrimp. He aid they were delicate and cooked perfectly. I had the Pollo Carbonara Rustico. The pancetta in the dish was so full of flavor, the lightly breaded chicken was succulent and the roasted garlic so mellow and melted in your mouth. The portion was enough for dinner and for lunch at a later date. No dessert this time but the creme brulet brought to the table next to us had the diners licking their spoon. Next time!
Food is really good and interesting here, both times I’ve been recently the service is outstanding - unobtrusive yet pops up just when the time is right.
I have eaten a Via Toscana many times and have never been disappointed. The food is always good as is the service. This time was no exception.
First time there. Service was excellent. Food was very good. Wine list is in believable. Lovely 2 1/2 hour dinner, wine and conversation.
The burrata mozzarella was to die for, I would return just for that, but all the food was delicious. Our waitress was very nice, and very attentive. The restaurant was in a strip mall, so initially I was suspicious, but the décor and atmosphere inside was very nice. The have a nice menu and the food is delicious and fairly priced so we will definitely return.
This was a special occasion and we were so glad to spend it there. Wonderful food, not noisy, excellent service.
We love Via Toscana! Great atmosphere and quiet enough for conversation! Attentive, not annoying service...great food and wine. Good value too. A great date night experience!
Went to Via Toscana for our anniversary, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Food was outstanding, and the wine selection is huge. We had the grilled prime rib and the mushroom risotto as entrees - wonderful. The chocolate mousse and gelato were also impressive.
We went during restaurant week, so the value for the money was fantastic. The quality of the food we had made the prices on the menu reasonable.
The restaurant is in a strip mall, but don't be deceived - it's very nice inside.
We will definitely be back.
My only complaint is the same Vivaldi, 4 Seasons was played over & over again. Please update your music selection or no music at all. Service & food was excellent and the Denver Restaurant Week menu was a good value.
Via Toscana is our favorite Italian restaurant in the Boulder area. Very tasty menu items. Beverages are a bit pricey. We dined on one of the restaurant week days. The restaurant was packed. But the food was perfectly prepared and the pacing was spot on. We’ll be back.
We could only give 3 stars for service because plates were removed when there was still a bit of food on them without asking if we were finished. Because there were people waiting for tables, we felt like we were pushed out.
I gotta be honest, I wasn't expecting this unassuming place in a strip mall to be such a little gem. You walk in the door and the entire place is an experience, far more authentic then I was expecting. I'm usually hesitant to recommend traditional Italian places to people when outside of NY because they often fall short of my expectations. However, Via Toscana is a place that I would confidently bring my parents or guests in from out of town and know we'd get a reliably authentic Italian, home-cooked meal. From the incredibly fresh Focaccia put out on the table to the roasted brussels to the chicken and eggplant parms, everything was hot, delicious and on point. The service was attentive and well coordinated (lots of hands helping out). The best part? That it's reasonably priced enough that it can be much more than a special occasion place for dinner. The happy hour looked like a great option as well. Very impressed and will definitely be back regularly and I look forward to branching out and exploring the rest of the menu as there were some awesome looking options.
Denver restaurant week:. The service was great and the chef provided a unique Italian cuisine that was prepared wonderfully. As if generations of Italian familes spilled their love for flavor across our plates. Cheers to the staff for providing such an amazing dinner.
The food is always exceptional – our favorite place in Louisville!
Real deal Italian. We have been looking for a good Italian restaurant in the Broomfield/Boulder/Superior area. This is hands down the best in the area. Service, ambiance, and food all excellent.
Great restaurant tucked into a strip mall setting. the menu changes but things are fresh and delicious. Great ambiance and wine list. Highly recommend!
The food was outstanding, the service was...less than ideal. My wife and I received a gift card for Via Toscana, and on the gift card it said to show the card to the waitress at the beginning of the meal - had we not done this, things may have been better. Having seen that we were using a gift card, the waitress (an older woman, whose name I don't recall) apparently wrote us off as cheap and unworthy of her time. She spent about a third as much time at our table as she did at those around us, and she was largely unresponsive when we said anything to her, but when she did respond she was condescending and rude. Besides this incident, the restaurant was excellent; however, rude servers are difficult to ignore, and it didn't make for the most pleasant evening. I have no doubt, though, that if you look well-off and aren't using a gift card then your experience will be quite excellent.
Valentine's special dinner. Place was PACKED!! The kitchen ran behind and we were 30min late getting seated for our reservation. Absolutely worth the wait! The staff totally made up for the late start working extra hard to make sure we didn't wait for anything else. Food was outstanding as always!
BEST BEST BEST wine cellar in the area! You can argue for the Flagstaff house, but you're paying heavy markup, and I would argue the average quality per price of the Flagstaff cellar is nowhere near Via Toscana. Wine prices at VT are also reasonable and overall selection is quality almost anyone can approach. Outstanding wine service by Sean as well! =)
The five course meal was lovely, with a large selection of wines.
Intimate, lovely decor and atmosphere. A romantic place to go for dinner. Very good gourmet food. We went for Valentines Day which was very full and might account for the long wait before the main course (1/14 hours!) came. The waitstaff, however, were attentive and courteous.
Awesome food! Just like Florence!
We had fantastic service, really yummy food (I recommend the cioppino) and was perfect for a date night!
Good food, good service and good atmosphere. We recommend.
Food, service & wine were exceptional. Additionally, they had an outstanding beer selection!!
We were dining with a gluten-free teenager and they were extremely accommodating from bread on the table through dessert!
Our food was great, the server was nice but a bit slow. Understandable with a large rehearsal dinner there. My only complaint is that they squeezed nine of us into a table meant for six. It was almost unbearable.
Food service price were all excellent - as always - This was my 3rd visit and I will go again.
My date is gluten sensitive and they are VERY accommodating to that condition and her choices were many, not just a few.
Never disappointed in the food or the service. I have serious food allergies and have never had a problem here. Such an interesting menu!
Overall nice dinner experience. We had stuffed mushrooms that were excellent, as was the bread they serve with dinner. My wife had lasagna which she said was outstanding. I had salmon puttanesca that was good but not as good as other puttanescas I have had. The salmon that came with it was cooked well and flavorful. The sauce just seemed a little bland. Waiter was attentive.
Via Toscana is so lovely. Great food and service! Nothing to improve upon.
Had high hopes based on the other reviews, but Via Toscana fell short. Service and ambiance are good, but execution of dishes was really disappointing- Zuppa Ribeltto tasted like canned vegetable soup. Burrata was cold with very thick skin -had no flavor and the “grill-toasted bread” , while displaying the requisite grill marks was cold and limp. The rabbit/bison entree induced grand hopes, but was bland, although the bison was very tender. Impressive and expensive wine list. Disappointed- probably won’t return.
I’ve never been disappointed at Via Tascana. Have taken so many so many friends here and they have always enjoyed it
2nd visit & we'll be back again. Not stereotypical Italian, but real Italian foods made as if living in the country with what is locally sourced/produced. Get past the location, the food was great (again), and based on how packed the restaurant was, others feel the same!
Great food, nice to have gluten free which we are, great wine selection
