    Had a nice prix fixe lunch ( good value) but had to work on the waiter regarding service. Also, had requested a dessert with birthday candle for my friend -- waiter finally came through.

    Waitress took my order wrong, so, instead enjoy a pizza I ended up eating a burger, also grilled calamari looks great but to salty …! And the tiramisu cake was horrible the worst tiramisu I have ever tried. Definitely I will not comeback to vía Sophia.

    Only one of our four entrees was really good. The other three were mediocre, one poor--tasteless and skimpy portion. We had a great meal last time we were in DC, but not this time.

    I liked the food and the service was great the bit it was very expensive for the amount of food you get it. I got steak and I got like 2 small cubes. Again don’t get me wrong it was really good just small.

    My friend and I sat down and we had an early dinner reservation so we were the first to be sat. We waited 10 mins to be waited on while waiters seemingly argued over who didn’t want to help us. Another table sat down after us and got helped before us. We finally got helped. Our waiter was sufficient. Management came over to ask how our drinks were but didn’t actually care and wanted to ask personal questions and was quite awkward.. less than personable. The drinks were way over priced.. and we had mocktails! My pasta was super over done, very mushy. The waiter did not come check on us after our food was served so sadly, I just ate my mushy pasta. Overall. Our experience was sub par and I don’t plan on returning.

    Pelatan (server) and Patrick (manager) were outstanding in delivering an incredible meal with my family. The food was on point and super flavorable. Loved the cod and the tartare but everything was delicious. We’ll be back!

    We had a lovely dinner at Via Sophia -- authentic Italian (not Italian-American) cuisine and a pleasing ambiance. Service was attentive, professional and kind. I ordered the tagliolini, which is a pasta dish with gulf shrimp, basil and tomato conserve. There was just the right amount of sauce to the pasta, which was perfectly al dente. I also appreciated the moderate portion - you don't need a huge amount of pasta to feel sated. My husband ordered the salmon, which I believe came seared, and was paired with asparagus and morel mushrooms. He said the salmon was cooked perfectly, not dry at all. The restaurant was busy but the noise level wasn't too high so you didn't have to raise your voice just to converse with your dinner companions. This is a "grown-up" place -- ideal for a celebratory dinner or a business dinner. A note on the bathrooms: There is one in the restaurant. But if it's occupied, you need to go through the restaurant to the hotel lobby (the restaurant is part of the Hotel Hamilton) and down the stairs to the other restroom.

    Food was cold and nothing special. My son ordered burata salad and it’s came with frozen tomatoes . I was really shocked. Pasta was room temperature and looks like Barilla from supermarket. Mane courses were ok. I like cocktails and deserts. Ok vine list.

    We had great service. Menu is not extensive, but choices for most everyone. Wish they had smaller pizzas more on the personal size because spouse and I like different toppings. I had the lobster risotto, and the lobster was a little tough, over-cooked. I would definitely go back, especially for the attentive service.

    Visited for a work lunch. The service was great. I really enjoyed the ambiance and crowd of the restaurant, not to mention it is beautiful, with outdoor seating options! I chose the pre fixe option, which was worth it the cost, however if I got the same items a la carte, I would have been disappointed. The reason why is because the order itself (a salmon ceasar salad) was the smallest portion I have ever seen. The salad and salmon alike were so small that had I not had the gazpacho and dessert in addition, I would have left hungry. Also, my salmon did not come with a temperature option, coming out of the kitchen very well-done. Also, the tiramisu was so saturated with coffee syrup that it was almost inedible- I could not finish the dish (which is normally never an issue!). My experience overall was fine, though I wish the food, and cost, matched the service and ambiance more.

    My husband and I ate Al fresco on the patio on a Sunday afternoon and had a leisurely meal of bruschetta, grilled calamari, bowls of pasta and Prosecco. Everything was delicious and our waiter gave thoughtful recommendations. Was a relaxing atmosphere and will definitely come back.

    I loved this placed for the simple fact that they have $15 bottomless mimosas!!!! I don’t think there is a brunch in the city that can beat that price lol. I also really enjoyed my steak and the waiter was cool.
