We eat here every time we're in town for Sunday brunch. Many varieties of food, breakfast and lunch, for you to pick from. The service is impeccable and the quality of the food is exceptional.
VR is one of my favorite restaurants and it never disappoints. I’ve been going here for years and have never had a bad experience. Absolutely love it.
Returning to Via Real for our 36th wedding anniversary weekend celebration is like coming home after a long journey. We have only ever experienced the best of the best here from the great specialty dishes; the way they pamper you and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in, to the just right drinks and dessert offerings. The staff at Via Real go out of their way to be sure your meal is special as if you are the only couple in the whole place. Needless to say, we are so looking forward to our return in the fall, next time we are in town.
Our waitress and the entire staff at Via Real were wonderful. The food, however, is average, and the margaritas my table ordered were also average.
Looking for something different for Sunday Brunch? I found exactly that at Via Real - a Mexican Sunday Brunch - delicious and varied options to choose from, from fruits, salads and vegetables to the authentic Mexican main dishes you would expect. Wash it down with a Mimosa or a Poinsettia and you're good to go. Delicious desserts as well. Service is attentive - doesn't miss a beat. I highly recommend Via Real.
Brunch on Sunday was excellent. Great variety and every dish was terrific. Very good value!
As always, we loved the brunch buffet and the food was fantastic. The service was awesome. The only thing we had to complain about was the temperature in the room where we were seated. I believe the room was at one time a patio seating area, so maybe it's not insulated well. But it was freezing cold, to the point of being very uncomfortable. We heard people sitting near us saying similar things. Our server turned off the ceiling fans which helped slightly but still very uncomfortable.
The service here is outstanding and food is consistently delicious.
The service was good but a little too attentive. When asked if we were ready to order, we told her that this was our first time and need time to look. She stood 3 feet from us until we ordered. Felt a little pressured...
I love Via Real and highly recommend this restaurant! However, the Sunday brunch has been a disappointment the past 2 times I have visited for brunch. The food was barely warm, throughout the buffet line, and the food was very plain.
Save your appetite for any other time at Via Real and order off the menu which sadly they don’t offer this option at brunch.
We both had the daily specials - one steak and one shrimp and they were excellent. We were lucky to get a table next to a fireplace which was a nice touch. The service was good and the food great.
Outstanding find on a trip to Irving, TX. Unique atmosphere, fantastic service. Upscale and amazing food. We tried lots of things and ordered way too much food, but it was worth every bite. The smoked beet soup (I know how it sounds, but trust me) was on another level of exquisite. The ceviche was perfect, with a subtle bite of southwest flavors. The ADOBO SHRIMP & CRAB ENCHILADAS were to die for. Our amazing server recommended to substitute one enchilada for a Chilean sea bass enchilada since we were looking for variety. Un-believeable. Even the chips and salsa are on another level. It's clear that the food is prepared by a real chef, and the drinks from the bar are just as professional.
Our only disappointment was that we had absolutely no room for dessert, and the flan had been calling our name...
Delicious as always. Fantastic personal service!
Took a number of International people for a business dinner. Representatives from Germany, Poland, Argentina, and Malaysia. It was raining when we arrived. Apparently valet parking was available, but not evident as the valet sign was on the ground and the valet was back under the awning in the dark. Ok understandable, but inconvenient. We were seated immediately and the restaurant was packed and noisy. Menus and water were immediate. The party was taking time to review the drink menu and the food menu. Our waiter arrived and he immediately began to rush people (who needed more time to review the options and answer questions) Do you want a margarita? Which one? You should get that one, etc. People ordered drinks and then appetizers which he discussed with our Argentine member in Spanish, but did not seem too interested in what the rest of us wanted. Drinks arrived. I found the margaritas very disappointing and I have had far better in other areas of DFW. These were expensive and appeared to be watered down, I truly could not taste the alcohol. The appetizer platter was good, and everyone enjoyed it. The waiter then talked specials and seemed to be in a rush. He left the table and when he came back we asked him to repeat the specials because none of us had caught everything he said. He did repeat them slower this time and we were all able to determine what we wanted. Our food was brought timely and it was very good. One of our party had a flaming filet mignon and said it was wonderful. Two of us had their jumbo shrimp crusted in pecan and served with asparagus. The serving was generous and very good! Others had other shrimp dishes and food off the menu. All said their food was very good and enjoyed! We passed on dessert, though the desserts did sound good. Overall, the food was excellent, the service was ok, but could have paid more attention, and the drinks were poor. Willing to try again, but not a restaurant at the top of my list.
Food was really good
Great as usual.
Anniversary for me and my fiancé
Great Sunday brunch buffet. Lots of options. Fresh food. Great service
Delicious food, minimum noise, nice ambiance. Must come again.
An overall Amazing Ecperience!
Awesome experience. Great food. Great service. Can't wait to go back.
Everything was great! Fran and her team was amazing!
Great food. Excellent value. Wait staff was prompt, courteous and provided the right amount of attention.
Service was impeccable and the ambiance was very romantic. Great food and margaritas.
Great place for a special occasion.
We thoroughy enjoyed our evening and dinner at Via Real! We felt as if we were the only customers in the resturaunt, and they were busy! The food was unique and extremly delicious!
This is our 3rd visit here and will not be our last!
Awesome place. Been going here for many years and it’s always perfect.
They continue to amaze!
We had a lovely time with excellent service. The lobster ravioli was cold- but still good. We always enjoy our time at Via Real.
Wonderful as always. Exceptional service.
We had dinner Friday evening, Valentine’s Day. Our server, Tony, was excellent and the food was wonderful. The wife had the Salmon and I had Shrimp and Seabass enchiladas. On the way out Michael, the GM, came over and spoke with us for several minutes. This place has good food and makes customers feel welcome and appreciated. Love the place.
Valentines Day with another couple. We were seated in a more secluded area which made it more intimate and we could catch up with our friends. Via Real had a special Valentines menu which was awesome including Lobster tail for appetizer and Steak or Seafood for main course. All of it was delicious and well served.
Great Valentine’s Day dinner!
Wonderful experience from start to finish. Hands down, kne of the better restaurants in town.
Beautiful setting. Excellent service. Good food. Expensive!
All great. Food, service, atmosphere was fine. The bathroom was probably the cleanest public bathroom I’ve been to in many years. Congrats.
The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the special enchiladas with Fajitas on top, Delicious! Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of my coworkers and me during our visit! For sure we will come back.

Michael is a great manager! He knows the patrons. He makes you feel special. His staff is just as friendly.
The food is delicious! I go to brunch regularly. The smoked salmon is to die for. This is the greatest bang for your buck for brunch. Treat yourself...
Always an excellent meal.
Via Real is always spot on. From the ambiance, excellent service, great menu variety, scrumptious food expertly presented, value of the experience, and Fran working the crowd. You simply can’t beat it! We’ll return soon!
Excellent food, service and experience. Our server was efficient, responsive, knowledgeable and professional. She provided valuable insights and recommendations that contributed to an excellent experience. The food was hot and delicious. All in all, this was an excellent dining experience.
