Via Real Ratings and Reviews
I've enjoyed this restaurant many times for many types of occasions and have never been let down. From a dinner for 2, to a reserved room for 20 to enjoy the amazing Sunday Brunch, the staff has always been extremely accommodating and gracious. Customer Service here is top notch as is the food.
This place is really great! Food is truly delicious, offers a very varied menu and the service is outstanding. The owner, Francis, is constantly greeting customers in a very friendly manner, makes you feel like you are eating at a friends house... A must try for a great dinning experience...
We celebrated my daughter's birthday at Via Real. The food was great. The atmosphere was lively and festive with the holiday décor. Very loud so conversation was sometimes hard for the older folks. The waitress brought a chocolate dessert with a happy birthday message in chocolate and took a group picture that she gave to my daughter in a card. Fun night. Definitely recommend this place!
I brought Wifey here for dinner after our wedding. That was 2 years ago and we decided to return here for an anniversary dinner! The service was as excellent and impeccable as it was in 2015. Staff was friendly and greeted us warmly when we arrived, and Daniel was a gracious server. One of the best!
We started with the cerviche appetizer, which pairs quite well with the chips and salsa you get. It was fresh and flavorful. For the main course I had the pork chop and Wifey had the adobo shrimp. The pork chop came with mashed potatoes and some roasted veggies, and were pretty average. The meat itself was cooked well, but the star of the dish was the sauce. Di-vine. Shrimp was great, but her side was pretty average as well. Daniel presented us with a free dessert (yay!) and we chose the lovely creme brûlée and paired it with their great coffee.
All in all another wonderful experience and we’ll definitely be back! (P/s you HAVE to try the Chilean sea bass at least once)
The best shrimp taco’s I have ever had and my husbands quesadilla was equally as good. We will definitely go back here. Service was very attentive without being intrusive. The only negative thing was we found the wine list a bit too pricey but the margaritas were delicious 😃😃😃
A very pleasant experience. Not your average Tex/Mex. I would describe it as upscale Tex/Mex. We were visiting from Ky and staying close to the airport for a flight the next morning. Staff was friendly and informative. Food was excellent . Would certainly go again and recommend to our friends and family.
Sunday brunch at Via Real is great! We love the environment, the service and most of all the food. Its not too large of a buffet where you are struggling to make decisions, but enough choices to ensure that you have plenty to put on your plate. The food is great (especially for me - someone that is lactose intolerant).
From the moment we walked in, we knew it was going to be great, and we weren't disappointed. We were greeted by Franny, the vivacious owner, who escorted us to our table with a great deal of enthusiasm. She asked if it was a special occasion, and since it was, she promised us a surprise. Then, she introduced us to our server, Gio, and he was also very nice, informative and attentive. The menu was very enticing, and we had a hard time making up our minds, She settled on the shrimp and scallops, while I had the filet with scallops. Both dishes were very, very good. We will return to try some of the other dishes because many sounded fantastic. The guacamole was great and so were the chips and salsa. to top the evening off, Gio brought out a marvelous chocolate/cherry cake that was scrumptious. I had delicious coffee to go with cake too. Gio offered to take our picture, and did so with his camera and mine. Before we left, he presented us with a print photo of us in a postcard like folder as a memento. I highly recommend Via Real to anyone in the DFW area.
We took our family to this restaurant for our daughter's 24th birthday. We really like the warm and friendly greeting that we received. They have a different staff to serve water, take your order and someone to bring your food. In that way, you feel special. Then the main staff who took our order also brought a selection of desert as a compliment to our daughter for her birthday. He also took a picture of us and made it into a birthday card. She had the flan and it was amazing. There are some extra touches that we like about this place. We got to enjoy 2 types of salsas, the sweeter kind and the spicy one. The chips were thin, light and crispy, just the way we like them. The main courses were wonderful; we had 2 orders of the salmon dish, 1 Tex Mex dish and another dish of tacos. Everything was wonderful and the portions were generous. The owner also came around to greet us and how we find the food. We told her we had a great experience. My husband had a company lunch there and took us there for the dinner. We will be back again.
The food and service was wonderful. Server did all he could to accommodate my particular likes. Food was awesome i purchased the ranchers plate o it was awesome. They also have an incredible dessert selection, which is unusual for a Mexican speciality food restaurant.
I took my nephew, who I had not seen for years and was in town for training. I had been there many times in the past, but had not been back for a long while. As always, the service, food and ambience met my lofty expectations. My nephew was very, very impressed. A great opportunity to catch up over a wonderful meal with excellent service.
We do meals there often for work meetings, this was not one of the better ones. Out of 5 meals 4 came out cold and it took forever to get them. They were replaced but still not as warm as they should have been. We were given a discount on the meal - Thank you, but I really hope this is not how things will be in the future.
Had an amazing dinner for our 4 year anniversary. We were immediately greeted and wished a happy anniversary. The food was great and had awesome margaritas (very affordable). We were taken care of very well, multiple servers would stop and check on us. We enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere and enjoyed the happiness of everyone else around us. We were surprised with a cheesecake to share with an edible chocolate that said "Happy Anniversary" on it...very special. We will be back in the future for sure!
I have been going to Via Real for about 25 years and never been disappointed. Fran, the owner, is almost always there and walks around to talk with customers. When they called to confirm my reservation, they asked if the dinner was for a special occasion. It was and I told her the situation. When I arrived, both Fran and my waiter had a note about why the dinner was special.
