Via Real is always awesome great steaks awesome service a go to place
Via Real is an absolute gem! Best Mexican food in town, and best value! The staff is fantastic! You will think you are at a five star restaurant, without the high prices. Our favorite restaurant hands down and we have lived in north Texas for over 40 years.
thank you for arranging our table of 6... busy night but it was well done!
Via Real is a great place for a date, for a work lunch or a group meal. The service is always spot on. The prices are reasonable. The specials are ever changing and so good. We love Via Real whenever we get the opportunity to visit.
Everything was great except for the extreme noise level
We were there for Father's Day Sunday brunch and I was not eating meat so I thought I would probably just have salad but to my pleasant surprise there were several options. We were all very pleased and satisfied. Good food, great service.
A+ venue, good food, great service. Employees and customer are all friendly.
We have dined here several times and always love the food. The buffet offered wonderful selections with visually appealing food. However, the hot food was warm - not hot. I recommend turning up the Sternos to keep the hot food at the right temperature. The wait staff was perfect and kept our glasses full. Wonderful restaurant and I highly recommend it.
Via Real has gone upscale since we have been there, at least 5 years ago. It is 18 miles, so it's not around the corner! The food was very good, and the service was great from our waitress. The side room (all metal and glass) where we were seated turned out noisy when a large group arrived. Must have been a dozen or more, so they talk loudly to be heard. Not great for a date.
This was by far the best service we’ve had while dining. Our table was checked on at least 5 times to see if we had any needs or had special request. I was personally impressed by the server stopping by our table presenting 2 plates which were seasonal specials of the day. He described each plate flawlessly. I had the coconut shrimp while my husband had the filet mignon. The mignon was like butter! We’ll definitely return!!!
Always great--I love it! From parking to service to owner and all--very friendly, great food and a fun place.
We live in California and make it point, every time we're in Dallas, to dine at Via Real. The food is incredible, the staff is amazing, the ambiance is lively yet relaxing... We love everything about it! Mostly, we love the owner and the story of how the restaurant came to be hers... She's out and about greeting guests every time we join them for dinner and makes certain everything is perfect. We'll be back to Dallas in a month or two and you'll find us at Via Real.
I had been a huge fan of villa real and the chilean sea bass special. however, I was just there and went as a single diner. I found the waiter pushy about the drinks and when I went to the bathroom they started to clean and redo the table even though I left stuff there. When I complained to the manager he laughed and said he was please that the bus boys were listening to him about turning tables. He couldn't care less about my experience. Will never go back
Via Real is one of a Kind. If you get the chance to chat with Fran, you will never have met a more energized sweet and generous person that runs a Restaurant with unending passion. Thanks Fran for all the years of of enjoyable dining.
My wife and I dined at Via Real for the first time today and I have to say we will be back. Our waiter Rocky and the sommelier Eddie really made our night special. We had e great time, the food was excellent and the owner, Fran, is very inviting and makes you feel like family. I would highly recommend this restaurant for just a night out or any special occasion.
Fran and her team are always awesome and the rare occasion they become human she always makes up for it! One of our "go to" for special dinners...
Greeted immediately, came earlier than our reservations and were seated Rt away. The waiter was awesome. Explained the specials in detail and answered all our questions. The food was top notch as well. Fresh not greasy. My skinny Margarita was perfect. Definitely will be back!
We love going there. Always take out of town guests for a great evening.
Via Real is always a home run for me and for anyone I take or recommend. It is very well prepared, creative Mexican food with fresh, top quality ingredients. The staff is most professional and friendly. They are helpful and accommodating with special requests. I have had group dinners for 20 and dinner at the bar and it is always fantastic!
I try to eat healthy when traveling and their creative use of vegetables and fresh seafood make it easy to do.
Another dinner with great service and excellent food. The owner Fran is hands on does not miss a single detail. Every employee is very attentive. The food is always fantastic and the overall atmosphere is excellent.
One of our party ordered salmon tacos and requested lettuce instead of the tortilla. They said no! I can go to many less expensive restaurants and they will gladly accommodate special requests. I still recommend this place because the food was very good, but I'm hesitant to return.
Excellent service and food as usual. Always a great experience here!
My favorite place for Sunday brunch! Excellent food and exceptional customer service!
Excellent food and service was top notch.
Totally impressed that they provided a photo of the event for us. We were celebrating birthdays for multiple guests. We thought that was above & beyond, especially after such a nice meal.
Sunday Brunch at Via Real is amazing. The buffet has a wonderful variety- breakfast choice as well as lunch selections. Not to mention the unlimited mimosas an poinsettias! The service is always outstanding. The waiters and waitresses are attentive and helpful and the atmosphere is relaxing.
We live out of state, but I have now visited this restaurant twice and found it to be absolutely wonderful. Will go back there every chance I have when visiting Dallas.
Best flan I've ever had. Overall a great meal. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Our meal was spectacular. The desserts were great. Definitely a great experience. We are from out of state and wish we lived near here it was so good.
Lovely evening with friends and the food was excellent.
Took a customer here by their own request. Pros: The food turned out great, and the service was fantastic. Cons: It was a little dark, and the server was difficult to understand.
Outstanding service both from host and server. I requested a window when I made my reservation. However, there was a big table next to us and the host gave us several options finally settling on a table in the bar area that was just perfect. They really wanted us to have the spot that was best for us.
The food selection is great. Service is always friendly. And excellent wine list.
We were stay at the Four Seasons and walked over. Steaks were great.
Via Real is such a friendly inviting place. The decor is southwest with a touch of old Mexico and the menus has creative touches; like the squash enchiladas; my favorite. All dishes are if the highest quality. I have used this restaurant for business lunches for years. Clients always love it.
We had an incredible experience at Via Real. We celebrated Mother's Day there and everyone good was outstanding and the service was even better!
We were seated in a side room that noticably lacked the pleasant ambience of the main dining room. A large table had been put together next to ours. The first half of our experience was spent talking over a small army of wait staff setting places at the large table. The second half was spent talking over a group of 20 diners. Our waiter was somehow tasked with serving us and the large table. The coconut shrimp were tough, chewy, and incredibly salty. Filet was overcooked (asked for med, got MW) but still delicious.
If this were my first visit, I would not return. However, I’ve been many times before without a reservation and had great experiences. Perhaps our less than stellar experience was due to it being a holiday (Mother’s Day). Perhaps online reservations get lower quality seating locations.
Also, there’s no benefit to reserving online. The restaurant still insists on a phone confirmation, so if I need another reservation in the future i will not use OpenTable.
Overall, it felt like I and my parents were in the way and our business not appreciated. I would still return because I have had many other good experiences at Via Real.
We have enjoyed our visits to Via Real generally in the Fall yet this year returned to celebrate a special birthday weekend in Las Colinas and were very well treated with a special photo birthday card and dessert from our waiter while dining at Via Real. The food and drinks were exceptional and the valet service really helps to make every visit feel very special.
Food was wonderful! Great service!
Excellent Waiter. Excellent food. Great specials.
