Via Perla is an Italian restaurant, featuring cuisines from many of the different regions of Italy . One of the highlights is the house-made pasta which is made fresh daily.
The restaurant is warm and inviting with a large bar area. It offers an extensive Italian wine list and a variety of draft and hand crafted cocktails. We work with many local farmers and our menus change daily based on seasonal ingredients.

Food was amazing
Everything came out hot
Via Perla is one of our "go to" places for a great lunch or dinner. This time, when I made reservations I specifically asked to be seated on the patio. When we arrived, we were greeted by a smiling hostess that quickly made us comfortable at our patio table (three cheers for paying attention to requests!)
Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful in our wine selection. There were four of us for dinner and since we all "cleaned" our plates, I think it is safe to say we all truly enjoyed our meals.
Thank you to the staff at Via Perla for a wonderful evening.
As always, great food, great service, and great drinks.
We love the food and wine at Via Perla, and we particularly appreciate the old-world knowledge and courtesy of the highly professional staff. The "merenda" or happy hour is one of the great values in Boulder. A bottle of nice wine and a small plate for $20? What a deal! That and several more of the appetizer plates makes a good light meal for two. The regular entrees are interesting and putshine the fare found in the other Italian restaurants in town in imagination and quality. We return again and again!
Claudio was terrific. Everything was just great. Loved the experience!!
Food was fresh and delicious! Service was excellent!
Since Via Perla is owned by the same people who run the Boulder classics of The Med and Brasserie Ten Ten, we expected to have a similar high quality experience that we have always had at those two Boulder standouts. We invited guests from out of town and have mixed reviews. Fortunately, one of our guests ordered the Pesce Cipolle, which she reported to be the best halibut she had ever had. Our other guest also order the polenta which we all tried, and found it to be creamy, cheesy, and excellent. The rest of our meal was not of high caliber. I ordered the special salad of the day, which was greens with Palisade peaches. The greens came lumped as a soggy mass on the plate. It seemed that the dressing had been added quite some time before, rather than right before serving. There were very few peaches, and the goat cheese was indiscernible. I also asked for chicken to be added, which came as a dry, chewy piece of chicken on the side. The cup of soup as a starter was salty, and did not come with any bread. The Bucatini alla Vongole (pasta with clams and sauce) was a lot of pasta, a lot of sauce, without any bread for the sauce. We had to ask for bread which came towards the end of the meal. All in all, we found the evening to be quite costly, and we will not return to this restaurant.
Delicious. We has strip steak. Prepared perfectly.
Food was very good but the Hostess pretty much ruined the evening for our party of six celebrating a Buff win and a birthday.
I had made a 545pm reservation and the game we were at ran over and we couldn’t get to the restaurant until 605 pm. I called the restaurant at 530 and told them we were on our way and the hostess belligerently said she would only hold the reservation for 15 minutes and that she would give our table away.
When part of our party arrived at 6 pm she told them that she would take the table in 1 1/2 hours no matter what time we finished our meal.
Needless to say I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone in the future due to Hostess attitude and overall lack of consideration for their customers.
Sad because the food was good.
Outstanding! Delicious pasta with excellent service in a beautiful downtown Boulder Restaurant with a magnificant view! Darn near perfection.
Our server was delightful—attentive and helpful but sensitive to timing. The food was tasty and well presented but maybe a little high for simple pastas. It was Friday night before a big CU game so the noise was expected. We will return at a quieter time.
our new favorite italian in Boulder. love the patio.
Amazing food, service, and drinks. Wish we could go every day
I’ve eaten there twice now, and both time excellent. The staff was all very professional and pleasant. Our server was very well versed on the dishes and made very good recommendations for both wine and food. Will go back again!
The pasta, dessert, and service were exceptional. Highly recommended.
We got a great table and staff was very friendly and knowledgeable
Went to Via Perla to celebrate my wife's birthday; very nice experience. Food is very nice and service was terrific. Will return.
Our meatball appetizer was better than our entries. Staff was great! Food was boring. Pricey.
They brought my friend a birthday desert and the back kitchen accidentally made an appetizer, so they gave it to our table.
It’s always great. That’s why we go back again and again. 😊👍
We went in early before our reservation and they were able to seat us at a cocktail table in the bar area. The service would have been MUCH better at a table. One of the 2 bartenders waited on us, and we were not a priority. The drink tickets coming into the bar and the customers actually sitting at the bar were priority. My wine glass was empty when the entree was served. Oddly enough, I had to wave the bartender down to ask for another glass of wine. I would advise to sit in the dining room at a table or at the bar, then you will receive great service.
While the food was fair/good, the service was terrible. Very slow, out of various beverages, and just not attentive.
The food was delicious!! Everything we tasted was fantastic.
Claudio our waiter is a delight. He made the great meal even better with his subtle humor, and his natural demeanor. I will ask to be set at his table when I return.
Second time here for dinner and the service staff was more knowledgeable on menu offerings. We shared a great salad with beets and a delicious vinagrette. My husband had the Clams Vongole and just felt it did not hit the mark. It was bland and lifeless. He was really surprised as the Ragu he had during our first visit was flavorful and "outstanding". I had a Pesto Pasta with grilled chicken added. It was quite good. We shared a flourless chocolate cake which was on the small side but delicious. Over all a better visit than when we dined here for our anniversary.
Fantastic experience. Great atmosphere, staff, food, and prices.
Delicious meal, excellent service from Cooper and lovey ambience. Worth a visit!
I found this establishment to provide delicious food. Also appreciated was the kind mustachioed waiter who was very patient and attentive. Cheers
Staff was great, food
Food is frequently over salted
Every dish was beautiful to look at and a delight to our tastebuds.
Amazing food, great experience
This was our second time at Via Perla. The ambiance is very nice and the place was very busy both times, but the staff was distracted and not very friendly. The halibut was outstanding. There are plenty of other options to try when we are in Boulder again.
The food was outstanding! Room is noisy. Will be returning for sure.
Attentive, informative staff. Wonderful menu, DELICIOUS take on classic menu items. Worth the trip!!
Our server was extremely arrogant. Anytime we asked for something she rolled her eyes as if we were putting her out. When our food did arrive, my pasta was undercooked. I like aldente, but not crunchy. I didn’t dare send it back, it was an inconvenience enough that I asked for no butter. The bucatini Vongole was in a bath of bland watery sauce. Go somewhere else, we wish we did.
Had a fabulous dinner. Staff, food, value all 5- star. Salad was basic and boring.
Would highly recommend (and be sure to try home-made pasta of any kind)!
Great service, great food and great atmosphere! We enjoyed our evening thoroughly! Highly recommend.
Very good experience, we will definitely come back.
Tiramisu is to die for, tri colore salad quite good. Looking forward to our next visit
