Via Perla is an Italian restaurant, featuring cuisines from many of the different regions of Italy . One of the highlights is the house-made pasta which is made fresh daily.
The restaurant is warm and inviting with a large bar area. It offers an extensive Italian wine list and a variety of draft and hand crafted cocktails. We work with many local farmers and our menus change daily based on seasonal ingredients.

Amazing food and wonderful service. Always a great time!
A little pricey for the portions but excellent quality.
The soup was delicious, my salad was drowned in dressing and the greens were overwhelmed
NIce neighborhood Italian restaurant, dishes seem to be authentic, form all over i
Italy. Waiter was attentive and helpful.
Our wait staff was the hit of the evening. We were celebrating two birthdays - one 95 year old - and our waiter made us all feel very special.
We had a group of 6 for dinner and had a wonderful time with awesome food and great service.
It's like this. If I go to an Italian restaurant I expect Italian food. The menu is very odd, missing all kinds of normal dishes you'd expect and filled with things like rabbit? I had the clams and they were ok, not great.
Another great experience at this Boulder favorite! Loved the all-day Saturday happy hour and excellent service. Shared a delicious fennel salad, spicy broccoli, chickpea cake, and clams in a wonderful broth that we enjoyed with the superb bread. Can’t wait to go back!
always a treat, no matter which meal. Lunch is always a delight. Staff and food are always top notch!
Both of our entrees were very good. The portions were not the pretentious miniscule portion and not the I'm in the pain zone portion, they were just right. Great coffee, great dessert and great service. Pricing is what I would expect for this type of meal and service in this location.
I'll definitely go again.
Great evening at Via Perla!
We had a lovely dinner, although the service was less good than would have been expected at a restaurant of this caliber. We placed an order for appetizers with our initial drink order and when the drinks were delivered the server did not remember that we had ordered appetizers. Then one of our entrees was not ordered correctly. Nothing was removed from the bill and we did eventually get all the dishes correctly, no great effort was made to have that happen quickly or with much of an apology. Would still recommend it because the food is excellent and surely not all of the servers are so absentminded.
Nice food, good service, great location. We will definitely be back!
We like Via Perla. Food and service are excellent and we can talk there! It’s not noisy.
Great food and nice service. On a Friday night, it gets loud in the space and if that is an issue, another spot might be prefferred. Outside of that, it is a lovely spot.
I've liked it here before but honestly - the Risotto was totally underdone (the rice was crunchy) though flavor was fine. The Linguine vongole was meh. The greens were undercooked. The place was so noisy it was ridiculous. The waitress, however, was wonderful. And the wine was really good - two of us had the house white.
Great food and service with exceptional happy hour deals!!
From start to finish, this reatairant was amazing. Great food, armosphere, service and music choices. Great selection on their happy hour menu. Would definitely go back!
Loved it. It’s our go to place for good food always .
The food was excellent but the portion sizes for both appetizers and main courses were quite small. The dining room was quite chilly and our table close to the patio door made it even more drafty. I noted a few other diners not in our party wearing jackets. The happy hour menu was great including very reasonably priced cocktails and appetizers. Parking close to the restaurant was an issue, but we were able to find a spot about a block and a half away. With the recent snowfall, the sidewalks were very wet and there were still some snowbanks to navigate to get to the restaurant. I would recommend Via Perla but would suggest diners request a table further from the doors during the colder months.
Wonderful experience! From our server to the food and the level of excellence all around I highly recommend this restaurant. The draft Manhattan as something and worth every last sip.
Reliably delicious food, fabulous service, Comfortable atmosphere. La Perla has become one of my favorites in Boulder.
One of the best happy hours in town! We asked if there was anything that was a ‘must have’ and we were told that there’s an off the menu gnocchi bolognese- so of course we had to try it. While it was good, it was $27...a mere $7 less than the steak I had for dinner. Paying $27 for pasta and a little meat sauce seems a bit much. But- other than that all the other food was delicious and priced well. Service was wonderful as well. This is our go to spot for happy hour and dinner when in Boulder.
Lunch specials surprisingly good value..seemed a bit longer wait for food than usual but worth it..
The food was good, the portions were somewhat small. Service was very slow!
Our waitress was very kind and knowledgeable, although the service was a little slow. We ordered after 45 minutes of being seated. Food was delicious! Could go for a slightly larger portion size for the price. The homemade pasta is delicious - the gnocchi is my favorite. Very good happy hour deal.
Awesome restaurant with one of the best happy hours in boulder!
Excellent service from Ryan
We went twice and the food was delicious, but the portion size is half compared to other restaurants around. Plan to order at least one appetizer and one main course.
The service is ALWAYS great -- our waiter was friendly, knowledgable, and Italian! What more can you ask for? Great food -- definitely! The happy hour/merenda offer of a bottle of wine with an appetizer for $21 (seriously, $21!!) is a fantastic deal. Always get the ricotta -- you'll thank me later. I love this place.
Service must rise to the level of the chef's work. Inconsistent, slow and inattentive. Surprised, because the meal (when place was NOT busy) was acceptable.
Great service, great food.
The food and wine were top notch, no complaints there. The noise level made it difficult to carry on a conversation without leaning in, and despite the fact that we told them in the reservation that this was an anniversary dinner (35th), they scrambled for a table when we showed up and it was in a high traffic area. So much for a romantic setting...
Service and food was outstanding. Laurie, our server, was charming and the sommelier had wonderful recommendations!
We visited on a particularly busy weekend in Boulder. Although we had reservations at 9:30 they were able to accommodate us earlier. The food was great, especially the bolonaise and the server was efficient and friendly. The outdoor area was warmed by heaters so eating outside in 40 degree weather worked. I would definitely return to try other dishes.
The waitress was rude. The service was poor. No water or bread unless we asked more then once. She also would only look at one person at the table. She did not like when I asked to substitute a side. I was very tempted to talk to management after the meal. This one person ruined the whole experience. What a shame.
Overall, I enjoyed Via Perla. The food was good and prices were more reasonable than I would have expected.
I tried a bite of everyone at my table's food and everything was good however, I ordered the Bucatini Alle Vongole, and it was WAY to garlicky for my preferences.
Our waiter was great. Unfortunately, I do not remember his name but he mentioned that he had been in Boulder since the 90s and was from somewhere North of Venice in Italy.
Third time and it finally was a charm. We arrived in time for Merenda (Happy Hour) and ordered a delicious Pinot Grigio for an extremely reasonable price. My husband and I shared a delicious Finocchio salad with thin slices of fennel, roasted beets and orange pieces. The kalamata olives balanced the sweetness of the orange and beets. A half portion was perfect. I had the Trofie Al Pesto as it has become my favorite. The pasta is nicely coated with the Pesto. I order a grilled chicken breast with it for some protein. Never fails to make me happy. My husband had a white fish with spinach and fired green onions. He loved it to the last morsel on his plate. Eating early is a novelty to us and we enjoyed the ability to then enjoy a wonderful show at the Dairy Arts Center.
We have just returned from Montreal/Quebec where the food is outstanding. The meal we experienced at Via Perla actually surpassed the incredible French dishes savoured in Canada. The appetizers were brought swiftly by cheerfull and accomplished servers, and they were delicious. The pasta dishes were perfect. We frequent this restaurant often and it is just amazing how consistantly good the food is. Applause, applause!
Always a great meal! Good variety and great ambiance.
