About VIA Italian Table
In the beautiful hills of Tuscany, and in the cities and villages that dot the countryside we discovered a simple food paradise which we were eager to bring closer to home. We created VIA to offer you those culinary gems from our visits to Italy in combination with old family recipes, as well as American favorites. VIA captures the rare rustic charm of Italian cooking and dining. Italians love to eat outdoors, so we have created a beautiful three season patio at VIA so our guests can dine al fresco whenever possible. VIA is the essence of Italian dining full of charm and great aromas with our open kitchen complete with brick oven bread, baked daily, hearty meats such as tenderloin, pork and chicken slowly turning and roasting on our spit, and the joys of gelato being created right before your eyes.

VIA Italian Table Ratings and Reviews
Dined on Sunday afternoon not realizing there was a limited brunch menu. My daughter is GF and ordered the salmon kale salad. It was tasty but too heavily saturated with the cheese and pesto dressing. I ordered the pizzetta of arugula prosciutto and fig. The pizza was a little too cheesy and the figs were dried not fresh which totally changed the taste for me of what this pizza is supposed to taste like. We did like the ambience and quality of food so would like to give it another try when it's not a brunch
This place was Fantastic, I generally would not have traveled here because I live in NH. But it's definitely worth the drive. I constantly thrive on good places to eat, I've reviewed restaurant around the world as "dazzle your palete" this place is great. I highly recommend ordering the grilled artichokes as a starter, you will not be dissapointed! For that matter anything on the menu is worth trying! The wine list is impeccable, it's up to your wallet. I give this place 5 stars, and a thumbs up! Great find,
We had a wonderful experience dining at VIA. We are from out of town and went to Worcester to attend an event at the DCU Center. We ended up being an hour later for our reservations and when we called to let them know, the restaurant graciously accommodated the time change on a busy Friday evening. The place was full but the service was not rushed and the server was wonderful. The Italian cuisine was fabulous and everyone loved the dishes they ordered. Next time we are back in Worcester we will definitely stop back for some delicious food!
Met up with friends from out-of-town for drinks and dinner. Server and assistant server were personable and able to make informed recommendations; good timing between drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert. The house salads were well dressed if a bit on the bland-tasting side. Although not officially on the menu, we were able to order the fried olives for an appetizer which tasted great along with the antipasto board. Our dinners were all delicious: Chicken Parm was hot and cheesy served in a rustic cast-iron pan. Both the Porcheta and Beef Braciola were generous in size, and the Shrimp Scampi was classically prepared. The Limoncello cake and the salted caramel gelato were also generous in size and delicious. Nice relaxed atmosphere suitable for just about any occasion.
Wonderful dinner and service. Many benefits to coming on a Sunday night, not as crowded or noisy! we enjoyed the fondue & bruscetta appetizers. A variety of dinners entrees were all fabulous: eggplant, porkchop, fish & seafood. Topping off dinner with the mimi ice cream cones made the night perfect!
Via is a restaurant we enjoy very much. But this time we showed up on time with a reservation (through open table) and found the place mobbed for restaurant week. It took 40 minutes to get seated and 15 more to be able to order a cocktail. Staff was overwhelmed. Dinner settled down and food was good as always but was not a smooth experience, and dampened the celebration we went there to have.
Our waitresses were professional, attentive and incredibly generous. The food was top notch and presented beautifully. We could dine here 7 days a week if it was feasible. The interior design is stunning and each seating area allows you to feel as if you are on a private date with whoever you dine with. Plenty of room and fair prices for the upscale food that is served. Never a complaint for VIA Italian Table.
There are some consistently delicious dishes here. And the layered crêpe cake is divine. Your best bet is to do valet parking, because it is very difficult to find a spot near the restaurant. My only complaint is that if you are seated near the kitchen, the noise negates any hope of having a conversation with your dining partners. The servers are very knowledgeable, which only adds to the nice experience.
Service, atmosphere, staff were all great. However, one does not go to a restaurant primarily for any of those things. The food was average and for the price, one would expect more. The ingredients were fine, the flavors were lacking. For the price, I'd recommend going somewhere else which is tough to say because everything else was great.
Celebrated my 50th birthday with friends and had a fabulous evening. We've eaten here a lot yet this evening the waiter was wonderful, the food delicious, and we were thrilled with how kind everyone was with the two kids we brought. Usually I go to Via with girlfriends or date nights so it was great to have a wonderful family dinner there too!
We went to Via for the first time for our Valentine's date. The first thing we noticed is that the wait staff is phenomenal. They are very quick and attentive, without being overbearing. They literally notice every little thing you may need before you even have time to ask. Being our first visit, we ordered 2 appetizers to get a good idea of the food quality. The first appetizer was the Pan-Fried Fresh Mozzarella, which was of very good quality, but a bit bland except for the amazing house pasta sauce that they drizzled on top. The second appetizer was the Italian Fonduta, which was absolutely amazing. A real flavor explosion with a lot of complexity and gooey, cheesy awesomeness. Total comfort food. It was served with tasty pieces of fresh (but not warm) bread with which to scoop out the fonduta. For our meals, my fiance ordered the Bucatini Bolognese, which was phenomenal, but also large enough for her to take home another meal worth of leftovers. Not being one to enjoy seafood or weird moldy (fancy) cheeses, I ordered the Chicken Parmesean. Experience has taught me that you can really tell a lot about a restaurant by their chicken parm. The first thing I noticed is that they, wisely, use fresh pasta. The lone chicken breast was lightly breaded and to be honest, somewhat bland. The chicken itself was a bit on the chewy side, not from being overcooked, but rather from using chicken that's of, I must assume, mediocre quality. This really surprised me because this is a restaurant where they seem to really pay attention to the details. That being said, the chicken and pasta were covered in that delicious sause that I mentioned from the fried mozzarella appetizer. This made the meal taste nice, but I would probably try something else next time. We looked at the dessert menu, but decided we were too full to order any. However, the dessert menu has a great variety of selections. The Gelato, which we caught a glimpse of while passing by the kitchen area, looked delicious.
We went for lunch. We started with the cheese and meat board. For the price it was worth it. Huge. Almost too big for lunch. We followed that up by getting chicken marsala over pasta and a meatball parm sandwich. Both were good, not great. The sandwich could have used a less toasted or softer roll. Wine list is great, though some prices for the exact same wine were more expensive here than they were at their sister restaurant "The Chop House" right next door. The atmosphere is great and I'd imagine it to be even better at night. We'll absolutely try this place out for dinner.
We were a party of 6 on a Saturday night. The bar area looked inviting and was nicely crowded. Our server was available to us at all times and knowledgable about the menu. The two apps we started with were large enough to share. Everyone was very happy with their entrees. Prices were somewhat high, but we really enjoyed the evening and had no complaints, so it was worth it. We did not feel rushed at all. Highly recommend!
Almost perfect....Superb food! And different. My only complaint...our server asked what we wanted for a salad with our meals. We assumed they were included. They were not. We were charged $5 per salad. Some of us would have still had one but some of us would not have. Found her misleading. Just an FYI. Other than that....a terrific meal!!!!! Great drinks.
Really good meals at a fair price for value. The Ragu of meals is a personal favorite and not something that you find at other Italian restaurants. The chicken orzo soup is a great starter as was the Caesar salad and finishing off with the layered crepe cheesecake made for an excellent meal. Another plus is that we have friends with allergies who need to eat gluten free and there are multiple options and the chefs take great care - they have never had a cross contamination issue.
