Via Emilia 9
Via Emilia 9 in Miami Beach, Florida is the first of its kind in this city. A regional Italian restaurant, Via Emilia 9 only serves menu items that have actually been imported from Italy (flour, eggs, fruits and vegetables being the only exceptions for good reason). The pasta here is made fresh daily from these Italian ingredients. You can even partake in truffle tastings to help better inform your palette.
While there are a number of great entres to choose from at Via Emilia 9, the stewed veal cooked in milk definitely stands out. The veal with cooked ham and cheese is another favorite.
Filetto di Branzino agli Agrumi
Mediterranean Branzino Fillet with Citrus Sauce
Burrata e Pomodorini
Burrata and Cherry Tomatoes
Couldn’t be more welcoming. Lovely
Everything was fresh and delicious. Don’t leave without having gelato.
Local favorite! Excellent service and delicious Italian cuisine. Every guest is welcomed with a special amuse bouche :-)
Food was good and homey. Service was scattered, perhaps they are understaffed. We had accident where server dropped a glass of cold water on my lap and while they did apologize, didnt really go out of their way to make us end with a good impression. Not in any rush to go back, Id recommend if youre a local in the neighborhood and perhaps best to go in off peak hours
Very disappointing given the high ratings. Server was enthusiastic however the food was not good to inedible. Meatball appetizer was underdone but peas served with it were over cooked. Special pasta with langoustine had a “bad” seafood flavor and was inedible. Bolognese lasagna was meat and not much else.
Fantastic food, and service!
A small taste of Italy. A perfect date night spot in the heart of south beach. Excellent wine selection. Homemade pasta makes you feel at home. Delicious and very fresh ingredients in every plate.
Amazing, as always. Perfect service, always attentive but never rushed.
Because of the good reviews I tried this restaurant. Eggplant parmigiana dish was tasty but mostly sauce. Chicken with citrus fruit and rosemary sounded good but was nothing like described and lacked any flavor.
Everything was house made and fresh. The pasta was delicious, the charcuterie board was exquisite and they have a great selection of wines. Easily a 10/10 and a very lowkey spot for downtown Miami
Great food great service
Outdoor seating was awesome except for the rainy night.
Great service the Viola Bianco Italian beer was different, nice floral notes with a hint of spice.
Tagliatelle Bolognese outstanding and finishing off with the house made Tiramsu - bellissima!
Very reasonably priced and nice ambiance. Love the decor especially the trumpet hanging in the ceiling.
clams were full of sand :(
Food was absolutely amazing and authentic as it gets in terms of Italian. Would recommend. Make reservations because they aren’t very promising on time.
Food was awful and had no taste! They burned my friends chicken. The appetizers and dessert were the only good things.
Via Emilia 9 is our favorite go to restaurant in Miami Beach. We have been dining there since they opened years ago. The service, the food, the people - all wonderful. We love Valentina!
Everything was awesome. From food, appetizer, entree, dessert, service, vibe, everything!! So glad we went there. Ordered calamari and octopus for appetizers, bronzini, pasta with lobster, 4 cheese gnocchi, and octopus entree for meals, and dessert OMG, we got everything and it did not disappoint! Also, our waitress, Virginia, was super nice, her recommendations helped us decide, she was polite, kind, welcoming and amazing. Definitely would recommend and come back again!
Traditional northern Italian food done right! A little pricey but well worth it. Can’t wait to go back
Very nice choice for dinner, we were a party of 7 and they gave us a table outside, which was perfect!! The service was great, really friendly and helpful staff. The food was good too. I would definitely recommend it!
Treating our daughter
Food, vibe and service were exceptional!!😎
The food and service are amazing at Via Emilia! I would highly recommend this place for a date or just to go enjoy great food and service.
Food was amazing, service was incredible. Very authentic and delicious! Highly recommend.
Most likely I will not be returning here. The service was amazing!! But everything was wayyy over priced for what was given. 1st thing, our waiter asked what type of wine we liked, my date and I stated and then he came back with a bottle for us to taste test. My date didn’t like the wine but I did so I was given a glass of the wine. The food was very small portion ; and the chef stands by his menu so it’s no changes to the food- super authentic Italian food (some may not like that like my date).... fast forward the bill comes. I was charged 26 dollars for the glass of wine!! Things like that should have been said. Our bill was a hundred and change for basically nothing.
Great service, great food, great ambiance and such a friendly welcoming
Our favorite neighborhood restaurant !
Amazing customer service and even better food!
Food is amazing! Like it cause they have plenty of outdoor seating.
Honest food, as Italian as it can be. Best on this side of the Atlantic.
Not quite on target for their usual experience. Branzino overcooked, scant disappointing grilled calamari. Pasta is the way to go. Service was pleasant, efficient bordering on rushed. It was a busy night, full house inside and out but if you’re a local and know what Via Emilia is best at, and raved to out of town besties- well, a little disappointing.
Best Italian in Miami
We stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant due to other "popular choices" being booked. What a blessing in disguise. The owners were so accommodating along with the high quality of food and wine offerings. It was so delicious that we went back the next evening and had a completely different type of meal. True fresh and homemade northern Italian cuisines are what makes this place special. Tomahawk steaks, branzino fish, homemade pastas, and fresh desserts. Just so delicious. I wish I can relocate this restaurant to my city!
Food is OK to good but nothing was outstanding. Prices are very high given the extremely small portions. Even with three courses we left hungry.
Cute place to stop on our visit to Miami. Quaint atmosphere, like home town Italian brassiere
This visit was a disappointment. Pasta with scampi had NO scampi. Just dry tasting egg noodles. The tuna tartar app was nice, but overpriced at $25. We have had some excellent dinners in the past few weeks...but NOT this time
Best Italian restaurant in the area.
This is a decidedly mediocre restaurant and not a great value for the price. It’s not terrible, just not noteworthy. The biggest issue I had was the server pushed a langostine appetizer and neglected to tell us that it was 52 dollars. Pretty significant omission given that most apps were under 20 dollars. That really ruined the place for me given that this is not a fine dining type of place. Typical up charge and I should have caught it but still unexpected. The pasta was fine but nothing special.
Food is over priced for the quality nothing we ordered tasted good. Ingredients were not fresh as advertised. Every plate that is not vegetarian had pork. Not much options for non pork eaters
Great food. Fabulous staff!!!
