Via Emilia 9
Via Emilia 9 in Miami Beach, Florida is the first of its kind in this city. A regional Italian restaurant, Via Emilia 9 only serves menu items that have actually been imported from Italy (flour, eggs, fruits and vegetables being the only exceptions for good reason). The pasta here is made fresh daily from these Italian ingredients. You can even partake in truffle tastings to help better inform your palette.
While there are a number of great entres to choose from at Via Emilia 9, the stewed veal cooked in milk definitely stands out. The veal with cooked ham and cheese is another favorite.
Amazing delicious and wonderful for business or family get together ❤
Delicious food
Incredible food and wonderful beautiful service. Highly recommended
We're so happy to see Via Emilia survive the pandemic. We've been dining there since they opened, and every year the experience gets a little better - expanded seating (mostly outdoors) and an expanded menu. The food remains the same - wonderful!
We love Valentina!!!

While we unfortunately didn’t have any food it looked great! Wines were excellent, staff excellent and fun to speak Italian with :). Love the location, quiet street off busy roads.
This is one of my favorite neighborhood places, good Italian food from the region of Emilia Romagna.
I always enjoy it and now that the outdoor has been extended, it is really lovely to sit outside, today we went there for lunch, very enjoyable.
I had Tagliatelle Panna Salsiccia e Funghi, this is one of my favorite, fresh tagliatelle with homemade sausage, mushrooms and cream sauce, very rich and very tasty and my friend had the Tagliatelle Carciofi e Limone, fresh tagliatelle with artichokes & lemon, this has a more delicate taste, I would recommend the one with Sausage, Mushroom and cream ……… of course I do 😜
We lingered there for quite a while chitchatting and enjoyed a nice bottle of Falanghina white wine, always good for lunch, at the end finished with espresso coffee, I am Italian I am very picky about my espresso, normally I really don’t like drinking espresso in restaurants as very often it is really bad and bitter but, our server Viviana, insisted that I should try it and she was right, it was good so, thumbs up for espresso as well. Viviana was really lovely, so well done on all fronts. I am already a regular and of course I will come back again for more @via_emilia9

Always excellent. Lucky to have them on the west side of the island.
We have been here several times and rated much higher. We were a group of five. One of the orders was wrong- but we figure out late and didn’t correct. The shrimp pasta could have been out of a can. Pasta was soggy- not even close to al dente. No flavor, really bad. The other dishes that were correct were fine. The wine was great and a good value. They sat us next to the “order window” which was annoying at best. I’ve had 5 star meals in the past here. Today when I brought guests, I was embarrassed.
The food was fresh-made, delicious, and authentic. Would definitely eat there again when in town!
We love coming here but the service in our last visit was not great. Only one server for the whole place on a Monday night. We had to wait nearly 2 hours to eat.
food was inventive and good tasting. Sitting on the street was not pleasant--too much traffic that at times made it difficult to hear one another. Server was a bit testy because the table where we were seated backed up to a plant that was sticking into the back of one of us. She wasn't helpful in trying to remedy the problem. The web page should remind everyone interested in having wine with dinner that they do not have a paper copy of their wine list and our server would no help us by reciting any of the offerings.
Via Emilio is a local favorite of ours. Pre-covid, we went often, but according to Open Table records, we haven't been there since March 4. We haven't been anywhere, choosing to hunker down in Upstate NY until mid-November. This was our first outing in months. We did have dinner out once in late summer with friends at an inn in nearby VT (where, early on, there was hardly any covid) on a wide open outdoor deck where we were the sole table. We have been cautious.
I had passed Via Emilio on a walk and noticed the well spaced tables on the sidewalk. 15th St. near Alton is generally pretty quiet with little foot traffic. For this reason, and because we love and miss their homemade pastas, we went for a Sunday lunch on a beautiful day. The pasta was as delicious as I remembered. I had pumpkin tortellini in a sage butter sauce. My husband had the tortellini with artichokes and lemon. We had some sparkling Italian water as well as a glass of white wine (a falanghina). It was a perfect lunch.
Our waitress was attentive. The food came promptly. Altogether, it was a wonderful "welcome home" to our previous, more carefree lives in South Beach.
The food was really good and tasty best lasagna I have ever eaten. The server was really nice, helpful and caring.
Amazing food, amazing service, charming and a hidden jewel! Order the eggplant parm and any of their pastas with white truffle. Stupendous!
Superb spot Real Italian Homemade pasta to die for
Avalia was our server and she CC was fabulous!!!!
The food was delicious, service was great, and the value was tremendous.
Hands downs, one of the best Italian restaurants in Miami
Friendly and enjoyable. A wonderful authentic Italian edition to our beach community.
Favorite local neighborhood spot! Always friendly service with excellent pasta and wine. We felt safe and protected from Covid. Clean environment and well spaced tables inside and out. Masks worn by all unless seated and eating at a table. Thank you!
The restaurant and staff were very welcoming. The service was very good. The food didn’t reflect the flavors described on the menu and did not excuse the cost...
We had a wonderful table outside for 5 peeps. The service was excellent, the wine list extensive and reasonably priced, the daily special of lobster and homemade spaghetti was superb as was the Branzino. Salads and appetizers were well presented and came out first with plenty of time in between, so we didn’t feel rushed.
I highly recommend this adorable little restaurant on 15th Street!
Great food and great service! Following COVID protocol, 100% recommended.
A little gem in South Beach. Few tourists would stumble on to this place but Wendy and Valentina have made it a fantastic spot to spend an evening with a bottle of wonderful Italian wine and the best food and friendly service this side of Napoli. The new extended sidewalk garden dining makes it even more enjoyable.
Go for the tortellini, skip the rest.
Best Italian restaurant
The atmosphere is lovely. Food was good, service was very good.
Very bad service. First we got a salad that was not chopped properly. I know that sounds weird and it was but we had to ask if they would chop it again. Wife’s pasta was not good and mine was great. Previous meal had been excellent. Not sure why the breakdown but I would like to give them another chance. Corona
Always great
This is a new favorite place of mine now. The fresh pasta is delicious and the prices are reasonable. You will love the food here!
Sat outside on their newly expanded patio area due to COVID-19. Service was on point and gracious without being cloying. Food was truly delicious and delicate. For example the fried mushrooms weren’t heavy but light. Highly recommend.
Outside dining is not as nice as inside this eclectic Italian restaurant. We had an assortment of 5 entrees, and all were perfect. We avoided dessert to concentrate on their worthy wine list.
They have about 10 tables set outside and the food is really delicious! It was a beautiful evening. I love this restaurant!!
Great food unfortunately the outdoor space while pretty is directly at the street with speeding cars next to you. Loved the food and service!
We had the owner as our server and she was so sweet and the service was amazing. The gnocchi was delicious one of the best I’ve had! The wine was also amazing. Would definitely go back if I am in Miami again.
The gnocchi bolognese was out of this world. My friend had the grilled seasonal vegetables and said they lacked flavor or taste but my food was amazing. Some of the best gnocchi I’ve had.
Nice to be able to dine there once again. The food was fantastic. Thank you!
Always an excellent experience
Great authentic italian restaurant! Pricy for the amount of food given but food is delicious nonetheless.
