Via Carota is run by celebrated chefs Jody Williams and Rita Sodi and serves eclectic Italian cuisine in a gorgeous setting, with reclaimed wood floors and fine china. Though the menu features some great pastas, including to-die-for gnocchi, the true attraction of Via Carota lies in its wonderful vegetable, meat and fish dishes.
The careful attention to details at Via Carota transforms simple greens like broccoletti or Brussels sprouts into true experiences. The fried rabbit with rosemary and garlic is a revelation, while the grilled sardines and escarole is bound to win over just about any sardine skeptic. Via Carota also has an full bar and can whip up quite a mean cocktail.
