Via Arenella is a modern extension of this piece of our family history. We are incredibly excited to be back where it all started to share our passion for food with you.
Our family recipes were born in the heart of Naples at Piazza Arenella, passed down through generations and across continents. We stay true to the traditions of Southern Italian cuisine bringing fresh, quality ingredients from our family to your table.
We were referred to this restaurant by a friend. I am soooo glad we took his suggestion. From the moment we walked in our awesome experience began. The hostess, server and all staff were very courteous, helpful and excellent. That was just the start...the portions were large and the food was incredible. Hats off to the chef. Will definitely make this a frequent place to eat.
The server was wonderful. He was very attentive.
My salad was large and delicious. The grilled calamari was tough.. not sure if it was over or undercooked but it was not good. My husbands veal Marsala was awful. The veal was rubbery and it was breaded which was spongy. There were lots of mushrooms and the flavor of the sauce was good but I think the veal was a frozen breaded veal patty.
We told the server and he took it off our bill without any fuss. But we were very disappoint with the quality of food
We go to Aranello’s often as it is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. The Caesar salad is one of the best I have had along with the thick tomato based minestrone soup. The restaurant is very flexible in customizing an entree. I had chicken outtanesca which was delicious. The serving sizes are very large with plenty to take home for leftovers. The waiters are friendly as are the hostess that greets you. Make sure you have a reservation.
Excellent food. Every dish we had tasted great. The portions were huge. Highly recommend the restaurant
We missed the former Arenella on Hintz Road and we were excited to hear about this spot which was conveniently located near us in a small shopping center.
The first thing I noticed upon entering was the lighting. The bar was inviting with soft blue accents behind the shelving and along the base by the stools. The restaurant itself had harsh ceiling and wall lights that could have benefitted from dimmer switches.
We started with soup or salad. Our dinners were Chicken Parmigiana (no side of pasta was included), Gnocchi with Vodka Sauce, Eggplant Parmigiana and Capellini Carbonara. Portions were huge and the pastas were good. The Eggplant was not to my sister’s liking, as it was a large, mushy pile of cheese, sauce and overcooked eggplant.
The acoustics were terrible! The restaurant was not even full when we arrived but by the time our food arrived it was full and we had to shout to hear each other. Surely something could be done to address this.
Our server was friendly and prompt with drinks and delivery of our food orders. The pizza heading to nearby tables looked really good.
Outstanding as usual! Always a wonderful experience
Great food. New specials. Old favorites. Will be back to try other items.
Food was just fair, I was at a previous location of theirs and the food was much better. I found it to be very salty. I think I will pass in the future.
As usual everything was fantastic. Via Arenella is at the top of our list.
The appetizer we ordered was great but the main was the worst meal we have ever had. We ordered Ravioli and the dough was raw. We also ordered clams with linguini and there was enough olive oil & garlic sauce for 5 other dishes.
Celebrating high school graduation; party of 20. First time here. Food, service, and atmosphere was awesome! I was fully accommodated and I will definitely recommend this place.
The food portions are huge! Friendly service and good prices
Good food and friendly service. Nice surprise in an otherwise mundane strip mall
Service was not as good as usual, but one dinner was removed from our bill since it arrived much later than the other entrees. We were impressed and will definitely dine here again because the owner brought that meal to the table, apologized for the error, and offered to comp the meal. That’s the kind of customer service that keeps customers coming back!!
Mother's Day Dinner!
Four of us met for a Saturday evening dinner for Mother's Day. With a reservation, there was no wait, service was attentive, and the food was fabulous. Good wine & beer choices. It can get a little loud, but that's expected when they're full. Our vegetarian guest found plenty to choose from. A great family-owned place, a little off the beaten path but worth it!
Classic American italian restaurant. We ordered all over the menu and everything was well seasoned and well prepared. Big chunks of tomato and garlic on the bruschetta. Ministrone soup was heavy on the vegetables. All in a good way. Lots of butter and cheese. New York style pizza was a nice blend of Chicago style sauce and low moisture mozzarella with a pretty good yeasty crust.
Dining room was super crowded and busy with a couple of oversized tables slamming the kitchen pretty hard. Service mostly kept up, but the entrees took a few minutes longer to make it to the table than I wish they would have. Under the circumstances we were happy with service. If you want to be in and out without downtime at the table, this may not be for you. If you want a great meal with time to enjoy each others company, head over.
I have brought several people here because it’s one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to in the area. I highly recommend it. Everyone I have brought here says it’s their new favorite place. The portions are huge! I love their chicken vesuvio, their risotto and my favorite soup is their pasta fazool.
Great meal. Food a little salty though. Will come again!
Great Food and atmosphere!
Very generous serving sizes of well prepared, classic Italian food.
Celebrating our daughter’s birthday!!
Food, service and everything else was wonderful. Food was delicious!! True Italian .
Hidden away in a strip mall, this restaurant has terrific Italian food. Lasagna was delicious, as was the cod with pasta. Prices are reasonable and our waitress was knowledgeable and gave us great service. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our dinner very much. The food was great. The service needs to be better. It took over 45 mins to get our fried calamari and 2 kids meals. It was not overly busy. No one ever came to buss our table so we were constantly stacking and having to ask for things to be cleared. The food was great and we will go back but hoping the service steps up a bit!
When on a Saturday at 7:30. Table just had to be cleared for us to sit so really no wait. We ordered a couple of pasta dishes. Food was good but not spectacular. Meatballs (2 with order) were large and very good. I would recommend taking a couple home with you and make sandwiches. They slice very nicely. When we sat down we noticed the grated cheese bowl on on table was empty. We asked for a new one and they took a partially full one off another table and gave it to us. Really? That was not a good move. I really don't want someone's left over cheese. Waitress came by promptly and took drink order. After a while the soda's and my wife's wine arrive. I was informed my martini would be a few minutes. Ended up being over 10 minutes to the point i thought they forgot. Food took a very long time to come with the table next to us getting their food before us despite ordering afterwards. While the service was't terrible it wasn't to a level i would risk going back. The waitress never checked in with us until the meal was over. All in all i will spend my $100 elsewhere.
Our meal was fantastic, our server, Chris, was great. Overall everything was fantastic, can’t wait to go back.
The Chicken Arenella and Chicken Saltimboca were both very good, with generous portions. Service was excellent and cocktails also very good!
My wife and I love this neighborhood spot. Staff is very friendly, daily specials are incredible and the ambiance is perfect for conversation and unwinding from the day.
The soup was too salty and the pasta was too much greasy.
We are repeat customers of this restaurant and each time enjoy the food and the service
Food is always great but the Tiramisu is to die for!
Great food and service
We were seated promptly after arriving. Our waitress was friendly . We ordered a special chicken puttanesca style made to order. It was the best puttanesca sauce we ever tasted. A side of rigatoni with meat sauce was delicious. The minestrone soup was very thick with a tomato base. We loved everything and will definitely be back.
Great as always! Delicious food ample portions, good service with a complete menu selection to please your taste. Just like being in Naples and you don't need a passport!
The food and service is always outstanding! It’s a nice place to meet up with friends and family as well as for a special occasion. Highly recommend!
Excellent food. I have never been disappointed. There are old favorites and some new twists. All are delicious!
The food was absolutely delicious. We had a table of 7, and it seemed like the kitchen was extremely backed up. This was a Friday night, so some of that was to be expected. Nonetheless, the food was very slow to come out. Our server was attentive and did her best to provide updates on the delay.
-Dishes tried: Bruschetta, Melenzane and crostini, margherita pizza, kids fettuccine alfredo, rigatoni mama rosa, rotolo (daily special), ziti arrabiata, and chicken marsala
No one had anything bad to say about their food.
Would definitely come back again, maybe during a less busy time.
Went to the eat on a Saturday Night had a 6:30 PM reservation, which we arrived 15 minutes early for, restaurant was crowded and very Noise. There was a table with a few families with children that were screaming and running around. We were seat right by them at a table for two, when we asked to be moved were where told that all other table were reserved. The children eventually calmed down, however the restaurant was still very noise, the server had to practically shout in order for us to hear her.
The service was extremely slow and we ended up getting out of the restaurant at 8:00 PM, thank goodness we had no other plans for the evening, dinner took 1 Hour and 45 Minutes, which is very slow.
The food was average at best and there are many other much better Itailan restuarants in the area I would recommend over this one. The prices were very reasonable and if you looking for a restaurant were you can feed the whole family and your kids can be as loud as they want this would be a good choice.
Jules and I sat at the bar. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Folks sitting next to us were fun and engaging. Let us taste a couple slices of the amazing thin crust pie. Nice multi price point wine list. Entrees were delicious and generous. We enjoyed the neighborhood bar restaurant ambience. Plan to make this our regular spot.
We celebrated a birthday and everyone had great food. No one was disappointed.
We will be there again. In fact we have a table booked for 4/6/2019!
Sat at the bar, we had two great pasta dishes and a couple drinks. Bartender was awesome and very attentive. Will be going back for sure
