Such a fun new dining experience for us! The food was excellent, ambiance was lovely and how cool to have a restaurant in a converted church. Was a little concerned about how long it would take to get to mid city from uptown but it was fast (like 8minutes) with lots of street parking in an adorable neighborhood. We went for Sunday brunch. Highly recommend!
Brad is always an amazing waiter. Vessel is one of those untouched gems of the city and I honestly hope it stays that way. Love the atmosphere and I’ll keep coming back.
Everything was delicious, with exception to the pineapple upside down cake. Service could have been a little better, but overall a great place.
Hi Bradford, Sorry to hear about the issue with your pineapple upside down cake. If you'd not mind sharing what was wrong with it, I'd love to know where we can improve. I'm thrilled that you enjoyed everything else though! Kind Regards, Chef Amandalynn
The view is absolutely breathtaking. Drinks and food were creative and delicious.
wonderful super good delightful
Had a bunch of flies around us while eating. Otherwise it was great
Went for Easter Brunch, I had the filet, it could have been cooked for about 2 more minutes, I ordered medium are but it was raw in middle
Hi William, Thank you for your feedback on your Easter entrees. I'm pleased to see you seem to have enjoyed your overall meal. However, I am very sorry and also disappointed to hear about your issue with your filet. I do try my best to quality check all plates before they go out. I ended up being short two staff members this day unfortunately. I will share the feed back with the my staff responsible for the filets that day so that he can improve. Kind Regards, Chef Amandalynn
Went for Easter Brunch. Fixed price 3-course meal. Appetizers and desserts were fantastic. The main course Filet Mignons were served raw (ordered medium and ordered medium well) with a more than 30 minute wait after clearing appetizer dishes. Too much time elapsed to request properly prepared Filets.
Kudos to Mgmt for adjusting the bill after we expressed our disappointment. Service was okay but seemed unable to keep up with number of patrons.
My apologies for the mix up on your filet entrees. I am glad we were able to correct it by adjusting your bill and you found the apps and dessert fantastic. Unfortunately, I was short two members of our kitchen team on Easter, so some seating's timings got a little tight. I hope you choose to visit us again as we take all issues guest experience as a teaching moment and we will continue to grow and improve. Kind Regards, Chef Amandalynn
Food and atmosphere were excellent. It was a fixed menu for Easter brunch and was a bit pricey and really more food than I would have order but it was delicious . I recommend the happy hour. Great drink prices and small bites. Beautiful
Everything was excellent!! Can’t wait to go back!
Easter brunch on the patio was a great experience as the weather and food were outstanding. Servers were attentive but kitchen was a little slow. We will be back!
Food was bland, unflattering and definitely did not live up to the expectations created by the descriptive menu. In this case, words are deceiving. Cocktails were good, this place is ok for a happy hour hit-n-run, that’s all. The setting had character, so, there’s that.
Cocktails and appetizers were excellent. Entrees were good but nothing memorable. Atmosphere is great.
Terrible service. Hostess, server, manager - all inattentive. The table next to us got brought the wrong drink by another server 3 time. We all found it comical. We constantly requested for dirty dishes to be removed. Got brought the wrong bottle of wine. Gratuity suggestion said it was 20% but was actually 30%. Reserved a table then were told they were overbooked.
Bottom line: front of house was terrible. Reading other reviews this is a very common thing. I wish the owner would re-evaluate management and training. The manager tonight had short dark hair and didn't read the room. She didn't coach her staff, check for empty water glasses, etc. For the price point, they should be looking at other restaurants with great service and model after them. The food was good - one dish we requested salt and pepper for because there wasn't any seasoning.
Dishes: We ordered fish dip, croquette,
pork belly and mussels for our appetizer. For the entree the short rib and burger were really good. The linguini had much to be desired. The actual shrimp were good but the noodles were bland.
Hoping Vessel NOLA starts reading their reviews and cleans house with management! Better service is needed here. I read another review where someone went 3 separate times thinking it may have just been the day - but received bad service every time. If you want good food, but slow and bad service, then you'd enjoy this place.
The food and ambience were excellent. We will definitely return
We had a lovely meal. The food was delicious. The server and manager were kind and attentive. The building is beautiful. We throughly enjoyed our experience at Vessel and will go back next time we’re visiting NOLA.
Had a lovely lunch experience! Everyone tried a different cocktail, and they were all beautiful and delicious. The Brussels sprouts and cauliflower were such yummy appetizers that we almost didn’t have room for our sandwiches, which were also very tasty, especially with the brown butter fries! Great service and wonderful atmosphere. Have enjoyed brunch, lunch, and happy hour at Vessel!
It took almost an hour to get my food and when it got to me the turmeric grilled Cornish hen was bleeding, like leaking blood. It’s against my beliefs to eat any blood or raw meat. The waitress said to leave a comment and that the restaurant would reach out to me to rectify this.
Great place to enjoy great food and a beautiful setting!
Food was so overdone. Game hens were fried charcoal black and had no meat at all. Three of the four guests were done eating by the time they bought the ribs to the last diner. They burned the first order and had to redo but nobody came out to tell us. We ate first because our food was Getting cold. The restaurant did stand behind their reputation and took two meals off the bill. We have eaten there before and it was really good. We will return but they did have a terrible night.
Great experience and ambiance for a business meeting!
A nice neighborhood restaurant. The patio was beautiful but could smell the garbage can the entire time we were eating, which wasn't our favorite dining experience. Members of our party really enjoyed the shrimp salad and beef short ribs. Service was pretty slow and it wasn't a busy night for the restaurant.
Great venue with wonderful gothic decor left intact from the previous tenant (🙂). Great choices of food on a limited/smaller menu.
A cool place with great service, but overpriced for what you got.
Visited my parents in NOLA after we were all vaccinated and were looking for a place to have lunch outside. Vessel exceeded our expectations. Lovely and cool outdoor dining area. The service was excellent and the food was creative and delicious. We will be back. Thank you for a lovely experience!
Our waiter and drinks were great but the food was mediocre. Would return to have drinks inside the restaurant.
We arrived early and was sat at our reservation time. We had two servers as one was overwhelmed. We got our drinks and champagne right away, but it took quiet a while for us to get our food. The biscuits and gravy were good and non-traditional. I also ordered the waffles which I had high expectations for and it was a let down. There was only a small container of syrup and there is nothing between the two waffles. The building is gorgeous and it is definitely a unique experience.
Awesome food and atmosphere. Very cool vibes. Can’t wait to visit again! Shrimp and grits as well as the biscuits and gravy were amazing!
Fantastic food in a FABULOUS environment! Such a great place!
First time eating here and it won't be the last. The family and I enjoyed Saturday brunch and it didn't disappoint. The food was flavorful and unique.
We had a wonderful time reconnecting! We hadn’t seen each other since the pandemic started and it was easy and fun to have cocktails and small bites out in the patio. Our server was so gracious and nice and the drinks were great!
Food was good. Atmosphere was chill. Tables to small.
The food was good. Outdoor seating felt safe. First time dining out since covid and it went well.
Date night was awesome. A very unique place to bring that special someone. Great cocktails and awesome food! Service was excellent !
Small space with great atmosphere, service, and interesting and delicious food.
Great food and fantastic service. They let us know they were a little behind in the kitchen but we didn’t even notice! Was a 10/10!
Amazing service and food, great weather on the patio
Our server, Kat, was exceptional and professional from beginning to end. It took fairly long for the food to come out. After inquiring about why, we discovered that there was about 90 people sitting outside so that affected our food. It was hot and came out together. We had mimosas to keep us amused. Overall, Vessel is a beautiful restaurant with a nice vibe. 😋
I went for my birthday brunch & ordered a vegetarian dish. My waitress asked me if I wanted to add meat. I declined. My order came full of bacon.
I never complained, I simply picked out about 50 pieces of bacon and put it aside so that I could eat.
After I’d eaten around it, the waitress offered to have a new one made. I declined, as I was already eating it. She then offered to take it off of my bill, which I thought was very kind.
After our meal, the waitress said she spoke to her manager who said that it would not be taken off of my bill because I ate it—-even though a third of my frittata was on the side of my plate, untouched, full of bacon.
Offering to fix YOUR error, then taking it back is definitely not good service.
Next time I will waste food, and time, by having my dish remade.
The food was delicious, and the drinks were superb. Loved the fries and the brussel sprouts. The noise may get louder once the capacity increases, but the service will probably stay outstanding. The servers were genuinely attentive, friendly, and informative.
