Vertige Ratings and Reviews
Location is within 10 minutes walking distance of subway station which is super convenient in winter. Also service was great as there was no wait time and the waiter was very polite and on point. The menu has many options and we decided to go with the tasting menu as it is the chef inspiration of the moment. The 5 and 6 courses tasting were both so worth it. We had salmon tartar, shrimps, cod, liver pate, duck and chocolate fondant. The whole experience was amazing and would recommend to anyone looking for a high end culinary tasting experience.
Montreal Restaurant festival #3: selected by my lover went to "Vertige" on Duluth 3 service menu for $31. Really good. Had the "crunchy salmon"(sort of a fish cake/delicious salmon nugget lol) followed by cod in a white butter sauce and finished with crème brûlée with a maple shooter for desert. I also tried a Quebec white wine vignoble rivière du chênes cuvée William which was an awesome discovery.
We chose the tapas style dinner. It was a good way to try the many different foods that the chef had to offer. We had four different courses plus desert. All the choices were well plated and tasted great. The waitress was very informative about the menu and made the dining experience even better. I’d recommend dinner their when in the neighborhood.
This restaurant was a discovery - not a very lengthy menu but everything was very good, tasty and beautifully prepared. The 5 course group meal pleased everyone. The plates were big enough but not too big - you leave feeling good, not overstuffed. The food was very tasty and healthy (I often find restaurants do not put enough vergatables, which is not the case here). Great find and very noce hostess. Furthermore, the prices were quite reasonable!
The food at Vertige was the best we had in Montreal, and we also went to Brasserie T! And L'Express. Vertige was very attractive with comfortable sitting. The service was a little slow but it was worth it and we didn't mind waiting because the sound level wasn't too loud and we could talk, unlike at L'Express. The shrimp with saffron rice was superb. The pork cheeks, cod filet and duck were all delicious. We did not have dessert. We recommend Vertige highly, five stars.
While traveling in Montreal, we dined at Vertige, a locals restaurant, which proved to be excellent in many ways. Great food and an interesting, but limited, wine list. Each dish served was spot-on. The escargot was well seasoned and not overpowered by the garlic. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked. Our server was friendly and attentive. When in Montreal, give it a try!
Wife and I were in Montreal with brother and his wife for a short holiday. Couldn't get a reservation at Old Montreal restaurant as we were hoping. Started looking online and found Vertige. Dinner was excellent (Portuguese chicken) and service quite good. Recommend you try it! Only complaint was ver modest wine pour. Need to get real about what a glass of wine looks like.
Vertige has been on our bucket list for a long time and we finally got to go there for our wedding anniversary. Excellent choice! We took the six course tasting many which was outstanding. I specially loved the spicy shrimp risotto and salmon tartar and will definitely go back for full plates! They have nice selection of privately imported wines , make sure to ask as they are not listed. It was a quiet night - not many customers - but our waitress created a nice ambience and our table by the open window was super on a warm summer evening.
