This is your date-night spot, business meal game-changer, catch-up with old friends’ kind of place, and your second-home to celebrate life’s milestones. Experien
We ended up sitting in the bar ancestor three more people joined us, which was fine. The problem was the service was horrible. We had to ask for someone to take our original drink order no one ever came to us to see if we needed anything. Each time we wanted to order drinks or even dinner, we had to ask someone to help us. Each time it was a different person. I’ll never go back.
We had a nice meal, but nothing particularly special. The service was a little slow. The portions were huge, and we ended up wasting quite a bit of food. And there was a big open window in the adjacent space where someone was filming live sports commentary. The lights from there were blinding.
This was a good quick stop for a small plates bite before going to a MSG event. Basic sportsbar food in a noisy but upbeat atmosphere. Best to let your party know that it's in the Renaissance Hotel and you need to go to the 5th floor to get there. Signs are technically there, but not real clear. Elevators are a bit funky and stairs are not an option. Restrooms are on the floor below. Check in and seating is slow, but table service is brisk and friendly.
It's a very easy place- and the food is very good- missing the lively area as they renovate. And they could have happy hour drinks, but a very nice comfortable place with good food
We go here every time we come to NY as it's convenient, the menu is always unique and changing and the food is delicious.
I highly recommend this restaurant!
Always love spending a night here when me and my girlfriends make the trip to New York! The food is amazing and the staff is always great! The vibes are amazing. Overall one of my favorite places in NYC!
Food was great and so was the service
Great place for business lunches! The staff is great!
The ambiance is nice and service is professional. The low mark s for the food. The three of us had a salad each and shared a plain pizza. We all agreed we had the most mediocre and distasteful salads. Further, just about any pizza joint has a better pizza than the one we had. This establishment should consider getting a new kitchen staff immediately.
Very cool spot right near Madison Square Garden. We all loved our meals and the vibe was great, will definitely be back!
Chose Versa because of the great location 2 blocks from Madison Square Garden. Had dinner there before Billy Joel concert. Restaurant is on the 5th floor of the Renaissance hotel. Listed as a rooftop restaurant, it was too cold to eat outdoors, but still it had a definite outdoorsy vibe. Interesting menu - ordered 3 apps for our group - Tuna Tatare, Cheese Pizza and Bruchetta - each one was great. Main dishes were equally good. Could use 1 or 2 more vegan options - the only one was a veggie burger but otherwise a very nice experience.
Brunch on a Sunday. I was disappointed to see 10:15 and 11:45 were the only available times to book at, before or after. When we walked in the place was empty leaving our desired 11.00 very much available. Was disappointed since we could have used those extra 45 minutes in our day and they would have easily been able to accommodate.
We had a very nice pre Rangers game dinner. The food was delish, and service attentive without being bothersome. Good value for a restaurant in this area. Highly recommend it.
The food was below average and the service was terrible. There are much better breakfast spots in NYC. Don’t bother with this.
Nice place to catch a quick business lunch. It was a very cold January day so it was a little chilly in the restaurant. Plan on visiting when the weather is warm and we can take advantage of their retractable roof. That's gotta be great.
Versa is a terrific hot spot. The rooftop space is very cool, and the food and service are excellent. It's a good choice for late night dining, as well.
Nicely appointed place with a nice view. Service competent and attentive. Food standard fare presented nicely. Main dining area has no booths, which is odd.
With a great location, I had high hopes for this restaurant. But the noise level was SO HIGH, and tje food and service so average, I can't rave about it. At $100+ for two drinks, one entree, two appetizers. and two coffees, it was hardly a steal.
Great birthday brunch
Blueberry pancakes were amazing!!
Loved the ambiance, food was good, really a cool place
Wonderful evening with family... Service was very friendly and prompt. The food was delicious and the ambiance was excellent! Will definitely be back for sure! Look forward to revisiting in the warmer months for outdoor seating and fun vibes!😊
Just love this place
Excellent location. Across from Penn Station/Madison Square Garden. Great food and drink selection
Bar staff excellent! Hostess and wait staff attitude was cold and seemed like they hated their job.
New Years Eve dinner so pretty noisy and busy. Service fantastic and food great despite being so busy. Gluten free options available and both our burgers were spot on. Odd decision to put honey on a pizza which made it far too sweet for our tastes. Shame. Otherwise a great meal.
Busy, energetic place! Great social atmosphere. Ample staff, always taken care of. Really enjoyed the Korean style wings and the buratta appetizers. Really enjoyed that we never felt rushed and so we stuck around for another round of cocktails. Would love to come back in warmer weather.
My daughter and I were visiting NYC and wanted a nice rooftop experience for breakfast. We made a reservation for brunch and upon arriving we realized that we weren’t going to have the rooftop experience that we had hoped for. The hostesses greeted us and told us there was a wait but they’d have us in by our reservation time. They did offer us a high top table but I had already indicated on the Open Table app that we didn’t want that. They told us we could relax in the lounge and they would call us when the table was ready, so we did. However thirty almost minutes went by with no call or text so we went downstairs. There were no hostesses at their station. After a couple of minutes and a few glares from staff through the windows we were seated in the dining room. We were served but the waitress never came back to check on us. I needed fresh coffee and would’ve ordered a mimosa from the bar but was never asked if we wanted or needed anything else. Finally another waitress came to take our plates rather
abruptly and we asked for the check. Another waitress brought us our bill and never came back for it so we left it on the table. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Very poor service and an average meal.
Sooo good!! We shared a bunch of appetizers. The hummus is amazing! Tuna tartare is the best!! Pumpkin fries ate delicious! And the sliders are sooo good!! And the wait staff is so nice! Will definitely be back!
Great space, we were there early and they accommodated us with our 5 and 3 year old. The kids chicken breast was inedible and I should have said something and the dumplings were not good with some questionable textures in the meat. But it’s a good spot if you’re going to MSG and don’t want to travel far with kids.
Buena terraza para una comida al paso. Típico restaurante de deportes estadounidense , alitas , hamburguesas y pizzas . Correcto
This place is fine. We reserved for brunch assuming it would be as fabulous as the pictures show. Food was mediocre, service was slow, and we were not at the reserved "high top" rather a table between two other families. Not worth the reservation when there are so many other locations to check out nearby.
This is our third time dining at VERSA and it was wonderful. We have had dinner and breakfast here, and it never disappoints. The food is great and the staff is friendly. Thank you again for having us.
(for lunch) great little hideaway - you forget you're in the city until you look out their alcove area and see the beautiful buildings outside.
Place was a noisy Bar environment not what I expected.
I very rarely write a negative review but this restaurant included two things that were a huge problem. First, poor service. The restaurant had no more than 5-6 tables occupied and yet we had to flag down our server several times. Second, the ladies room was dirty and half the stalks had no paper. This restaurant needs a new manager.
Everything was fine except for the service. The service was extremely slow, however the waitress was very nice. I feel as if they were short on wait staff so I don’t want to blame my waitress if there was a shortage of staff. I think it took my table about 20-30 min to order our food.
Amazing great environment definitely will go back
Our waiter basically disappeared. We ended up paying for desserts we never even received because we had waited 20 min and needed to leave. Overall disappointing.
