Great food! Cool atmosphere. Noise level way too loud between the Euro beats DJ and people trying to talk over it.
Rock & Reilly's had better food choices. I also think the prices were raised at Versa. Our server was horrible she took our order, brought the food and never returned. I had to go find her to ask for the check- she was hanging out at the bar watching TV!!
food was very disappointing - ambiance just OK - very noisy and not much of an outdoor rooftop as it's not on a roof and only a small area is outside. I guess OK to meet for a drink and a snack but would not go back for a meal.
Kale Quinoa salad was amazing, and vegan friendly! Our server was attentive and friendly. Good atmosphere for hanging out and laughing over a few drinks and dinner!
Waitress was rude when we ordered drinks and no food. Stating that the tables are not meant for drink service only. I’ve been here many times and never had an issue with ordering drinks only. Plus, who cares if my $100 check is comprised of just drinks or food/drinks, as long as I’m spending money and it’s not $10 at the table. To top it off the tables around us were only drinking as well. I ordered food just to have her attitude stop and she was replaced with a very kind waiter who I have seen before. He is what saved the entire experience. I enjoy the ambiance and have not had any other bad experiences here so I will be returning but hopefully I don’t have a similar situation as I do enjoy it here.
Good food. Slightly overpriced for the food. Great rooftop dining
Overall a good dining experience, the calamari appetizer was outstanding. Only drawback was the VERY loud music so it was difficult to carry on a conversation.
Noisy (even when not too crowded), poor service (waited 20 minutes for 4 non-alcoholic beverages and later waited more than 20 minutes for our check), and just so-so food. Menu is underwhelming (was better when it was Rock n' Reilly's at this location). Bread in chicken sandwich was dry, chicken under-seasoned and dry as well. Won't be back, even though I work across the street!
Great ambiance, better drinks.
Made the start of my birthday night great. Good environments and food, friendly people.
Dined at Versa for a pre-theater dinner. Had a nice flat bread and a special mushroom appetizer that was quite nice.
Limited “Pre-MSG” Menu prior to concert which was disappointing - no other restaurant in the area does that. Food was OK. Way overpriced. We had 4 appetizers and 6 drinks (no entree). Over $200. Not as good as Rock n Reilly was at same location. I work next door so will give it ONE more chance, hopefully it will be better.
Great experience, great food, perfect portions and great atmosphere!!!
then on line menu was not offered when went there, we found something to eat but we were disappointed
Food and ambiance good but it took forever to have someone get our orders we had to call them.
The seating arrangements are odd. We were told there was no outdoor seating available when we arrived, and were seated at a self serve table outside near the bar. However, the full service outdoor dining area was nearly empty. The food is VERY expensive and everything just tastes like salt. The food was pretty mediocre and definitely not worth the price. The ambience was very nice, but the food was not good.
Great place to eat great atmosphere great rooftop experience
Bathroom for years has no hot water
We visited Versa last night. The new menu is creative and versatile. The waitstaff was polite and attentive. We sat on their gorgeous balcony with a beautiful view of Madison Square Garden. The beer menu was extensive with lots of regional options. We highly recommend a visit to Versa!
The location is ideal for Midtown, the rooftop area is nice and spacious.
Although the outdoor rooftop was not open for breakfast, the indoor dining area was quite comfortable. The acai yoghurt parfait with granola, seasonal berries and bananas was excellent and quite reasonable ($12). A great place to go for a breakfast meeting: an energetic vibe, but not overly noisy.
The waitress we had gave us an attitude for no reason from the second we sat down, and made us do all the work (i.e. purposely brought drinks to the wrong end of the table and made us hand them out). Also there was a bad smell on the roof of old garbage and beer. The terrible waitress and smell and lack of airflow would deter me from coming back.
I came to Versa for lunch with clients last week and we were hoping to order the meat & cheese platter (which is amazing) but it's only on the dinner menu. The manager was able to accommodate our request and gave us the meat & cheese plate anyway - VERY much appreciated and I will be back again soon!
Great service and food
Shared a few plates. Everything we ordered was good. The shisito peppers were perfect! Our server was very attentive.
Nice spot, great food and awesome service for lunch.
