Verona Restaurant brings the finest food and wine to the area.
Duck Brest confit with Rosemary Beurre Blanc, Mushroom Risotto, and Asparagus
Linguine Pasta, Spicy Garlic Oil, and Pan seared Shrimp
Excellent meal. Salad was fresh and the dressing was a wonderful vinegarette. The Lamb Chops were cooked just right. The veggies were flavorful with great textures. The Tortellini was creamy and a nicely portioned. There were only 2 inconveniences. The first place we were seated we were crammed into a conner. We felt very closed in. We were able to switch to patio seating...I recommend cushions on the patio seats. Thankfully my husband got our movers blanket out of the Jeep for me to sit on. The 2nd and final inconvenience was the unfortunately frozen Tiramisu which I had to send back. The presentation of the plate was beautiful, the strawberries were so fresh and the cream was delectable...but the Tiramisu itself was still frozen. Overall it was almost 5 stars for us. We will be back. A new favorite place.
Very nice as usual
Great food and service. I highly recommend
Michael was awesome! Food was amazing!
Great Italian food with friendly service. We enjoyed the birthday celebration of creme brûlée. Very endearing!
It was my choosing place for my birthday. everything was nice clean very quiet service was great food was awesome I will be back!!
We went early on a Tuesday evening. Loved the garlic oil and bread. All the food was wonderful and unique. Servers need more wine training. All in all everything was very good
Not the 1st time we've been there. However it was the worse time. Waiter barely attended to us for first 30 minutes. Actually considered paying for drinks and leaving because we didn't have bread, appetizer order or food order and he kept walking by us without even looking at us so we could get his attention. Louder environment this time because of street events. Appetizer came out cold, but it was quickly taken care of. Kudos for that. Food was really good as usually. After first 30 minutes, waiter stepped up his service and we were pleased from there on.
Always a great place for a romantic evening. Great food and professional staff!
Without question the best Restaurant in town. Best Lamb Chops I’ve ever eaten. The only restaurant in town where no one wears a gimme cap. We’ve been twice, my wife ordered their Salmon, totally pleased. It was just great!!!
Our server, Michael, made the meal extra enjoyable. He was great. This is our favorite place for a quiet, calm meal.
My date was pretty
Enjoyed an early dinner before going to a gallery opening.
We've eaten at Verona three or four times as we travel through Texarkana from Austin, TX to Illinois. The food and wine have always been very good and service has before this visit been excellent. On this visit our waiter disappeared for long minutes. It took us 20 minutes for him to take our drink order. Since we sensed he was either busy or they were short handed, we ordered our meal at the same time as my spouses wine. Our waiter didn't write anything down. He returned with my wife's wine fairly quickly, but then came back 10 minutes later to ask us again what we had ordered. We told him a Caesar salad with anchovies, Duck breast with mushroom risotto for me and red snapper for my spouse. After 30 minutes he came back by to see if we needed anything. I said I'd like my salad and he apologized and said he'd forgotten. He brought the salad fairly quickly, but before I could start eating it, our entrees come. The food was very good, as usual which saved the evening. Our experience is not what we have come to expect from Verona. They didn't appear to be exceptionally busy.
Our Valentine's dinner experience was superb as always. Thanks!
We love everything about Verona's. We vowed to enjoy more often after our recent visit!
With a couple of exceptions, everything was up to Verona’s usual high standards. The service, however, was less than attentive and the music was too loud. That, when requested, the chef was able to put together an item not on the menu was a real plus.
Wonderful place to dine....love the brunch food and the appetizers are wonderful. Interested in the wine pairing night? is this still available /?
Everything was fine. Usual fair, nothing outstanding but nice.
Great Jem! I don’t review restaurants often but this one was so exceptional it 5 stars all the way! Food was delicious, service outstanding. You must go to this restaurant!
Nice little restaurant in downtown Texarkana that certainly doesn't fit the mold of the city. Upon arrival, I sat at the bar and had a glass of wine, decent selection (they only serve beer and wine). I was a bit taken aback that they were ironing table cloths on the bar and didn't seem to care that customers were there while doing it. That was a little off-putting.
Once seated, we had solid service and the food was great, but a lot of garlic so be prepared for that. All the dishes we ordered had heavy garlic so it's not one specific thing.
I had the veal shank (osso buco), very tender and well presented. Other people in my group had spaghetti, fettuccine, and sausage with peppers. We also tried the arancini which was great!
Good spot, felt it was attempting to be upscale but needs a little work to get there, would go again.
Found this place on Open Table and decided to give it a try while staying in town. Lovely place and great menu. Food was so flavorful, even squash which can be boring. Everything was served piping hot and had so much flavor without being over seasoned. Will come back next time in town!
We llove Verona because the quality of their food is always consistent. Delicious!!
Excellent service & food. Look forward to my next visit.
We've dined at Verona many, many times. The food, service and ambiance on this visit was--as usual--exceptional.
We absolutely love this family owned restaurant. Portions are large and service is wonderful!
Nice atmosphere. Great food. Good service. The filet is best entree so far. Duck, chicken marsala, sea bass, and salmon also good. Pesto is the best I have had.
First time going. Great food. Great service.
We went to Verona for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We ordered the Salami E Formaggi as an appetizer, which was very good. The Caesar salad was delicious as well. Unfortunately, our entrees, the lasagna & duck breast with mushroom risotto, left little to be desired. The marinara on the lasagna was very acidic, like it had cooked too long. The duck breast was very dry & the mushroom risotto was extremely salty. We would not order these entrees again nor would we recommend them to anyone. Although we were not impressed with our meal, the service that we received was wonderful. We will definitely return to try something different.
Went for Sunday brunch. fantastic service from our server Michael. 10/10 would go again especially for bottomless mimosas.
Great food and your water glass will never be less than half full.
Very nice atmosphere and the food was great! We will certainly go back.
Waiter was wonderful. Food came out promptly and was delicious.
I believe it was the best meal I have ever had at Verona's. The salmon was excellent. Cooked to perfection.
It was wonderful as always!!!
Food was excellent, bottomless mimosas where even better. We ended up ordering off the regular menu instead of brunch would have liked to seen more choices on brunch. Service was great our waiter was very knowledgeable!
Excellent! Will return often.
I have been to Verona’s on several occasions and they never disappoint, great service and food.
Family dinner with our son and his family. The food was good but the service was slow. The menu was limited in choices. I felt the restaurant was pricy for the quality of the food and the poor service. We do not plan to return.
