   First time, great experience and looking forward to coming back sometime soon. From the host moving our table so we could hear without a hassle, to excellent service and fantastic food, everything was top notch. Food took a while, but was well worth the wait!

   We were seated promptly, which was great. But I guess our waiter/waitress must have been on break because no one acknowledged us for the next 5 minutes. We contacted the host, and he sent a different waitress to our table immediately. After that, the service was really quite good for a majority of our dinner. However, we did order a bottle of wine to come with our entrees, and there must have been some confusion in the bar, because we did not receive our wine for at least 10 minutes AFTER our entrees came out. Due to a time crunch, we were mostly finished with our entrees by the time the wine came out. I have been here before, and been less than impressed with the overall experience, and I really wanted this visit to go well. But alas, this is another fail by veritas. For a location with a menu (and prices) like this, the overall experience is severely lacking.

   Food was amazing, server Trey was awesome!!! It got busy while we were there and no one came to our table after our appetizer came to take food order. When Trey was able to get back to us he apologized multiple times and took it upon himself to make sure our food was discounted. We (there was two of us) would have like a different table because our was in the middle of the room next to a post but no biggie. Will definitely go back!!!!

   I was looking foward to eating here for awhile and I was disappointed. The service was ok, the food was ok. What we ordered wasn't exactly what was on our plates. There was no soap in the women's bathroom the fish tank was disgusting and we came back for dessert and our coffee was served luke warm. We asked for a hot cup and we were left unattended and didn't even get a refill. We won't be back for the prices charged

   A gem hidden in Jackson. Excellent food, loved the GF lobster mac and cheese, it all was delicious. Staff was very accommodating, wonderful knowledge of the menu. Sat in the bar area, music was enjoyable but not too loud made it easy to hear and converse. Looking forward to my next visit!

    We had a fabulous Sunday brunch at Veritas. I'm not sure if it was a weird weekend due to Presidents Day holiday, but it was empty! We had fantastic service and the brunch was far better than I expected it to be. There was everything from the standard eggs, sausage, bacon and potatoes to salad, fresh fruit, frittata, an omelette station, prime rib, mac and cheese, cinnamon rolls, and more. The brunch includes coffee and pop as well. A friend and I met here because it was the middle(ish) point between Kalamazoo and Ann Arbor, and I know we will be back again.

    The service was obviously horrible from jump. From the drink order taking 30+ minutes to poor wines, food took 90+ minutes and the booths were very uncomfortable. The steak was also not cooked as ordered and the side bowls were so scolding hot, I burned 2 fingers and the server provided zero warning. Definitely not worth $52 for a filet and poor value for a $400 tab

    Second time going to Veritas with my girlfriend. Amazing food and a great place for a special, fancier occasion. The service my first time was much better than this more recent occasion, but was still not bad.

    Have been wanting to check this place out for a while now, and it was absolutely amazing! The ambiance was so wonderful, there was live acoustic music, amazing wine selection, the food was wonderful, service was spectacular and the people a few tables behind us got engaged! What a great evening. Will definitely be back!

    My husband and I went to celebrate my birthday and we really enjoyed our visit. Our waiter Malik was amazing and so attentive. The other staff that assisted were equally attentive and kind. The food was amazing and the price point was fair. The love music was a nice touch and atmosphere was intimate and relaxing. All around it was a great night. We will be visiting again soon.

    We went for our son’s 21st bday. Malik, our server, was wonderful. He made a point to get our order in before his big top table so we didn’t have to wait. All of the food was delicious: blackened chicken tortellini was one of the favorites. We also had herb roasted chicken, ribeye, and lobster mac and cheese. Good atmosphere, live guitar music, a great night for a special occasion.

    Good dinner. Still need to work on service. Took 20 minutes for our cocktails to arrive to our table. And another 45 for food. Slow. Would dine here again. But just expect slow service.

    Extremely disappointing. Food was average at best. We ordered or requested 4 or 5 different items to find out they were out!! One was a dressing for the ginger carrot salad they are known for! Ordered two deserts- they were out! No tarter sauce for the fish! I consider ourselves as regulars but no longer. The Pot de Crème for dessert was a disaster, very grainy and too much whipped cream. Seems like the quality and service is slipping rapidly! So sorry to see this. Was once one of the top restaurants in the area. Not sure this is still the case.

    I felt bad for our server, too many tables booked for staff on hand. Seated 20 minutes after reservation time, waited 30 minutes for drinks, another 35-40 for appetizer and again to place meal order. There for over 3 hours just for dinner when should’ve been 1/2 that. Food was okay, staff was friendly and doing their absolute best given situation they were put in….but overall disappointed in our New Years dinner experience….

    Had a great meal on New Years. You could tell they were struggling with the amount of business they had. They were running a little behind due to it. No big deal for us as there was seating at the bar. We were a little disappointed by the new menu being so steak heavy but doesn’t even offer anything wagyu. The pasta dishes are lacking in creativity. And the sushi menu has been gutted. It still has a long way to go before it reaches what they used to advertise of dining experience like Detroit and Chicago. It reminds me of when they opened and they had fried oysters on the menu but not raw ones. It made you question were this was heading. It used to be the best place to eat around town and I still recommend it. But if you have more time to plan I would probably just drive over to Detroit until the next menu change or go out to Deck Down Under.

    I ordered salmon and I like that it was grilled but I’m not sure it was cooked through. Also had the truffle fries and the flavor was good but fries were cooked hard so that s fork would not even go in. Disappointed. My husband had the steak salad which was very good (I tasted) and the Lobster Bisque which was outstanding!

    Service was great. Restaurant was quiet. Michelob Ultra was the only beer they had and no Pepsi or Diet Pepsi. Filet was cooked correctly, ribeyes were both overcooked. French fries didnt come out until 10 mins after the entrees. Was expecting better.
