The Caesar salad was delicious and more than enough to split and the

We used to dine at Verde all the time. We could tell right away that the ownership has changes. The food is nearly as good as it used to be. I don’t think we will be coming back there

Two of us were seated next to window, and on other side a table of several adults and kids(adults drunk & very loud), even “playing catch” with an object they were throwing back and forth to a diner at a nearby table. Not at all what we expected at the previously best and most “dressy” Stratton Mtn restaurant. You know the type of loudness and brazenness where you actually consider whether it’s worth asking people to tone it down a bit, for fear they’ll turn up their raucousness, or just pour a drink on you. Not good

Horrible! It was worse than Applebee's and 5x the price. Extremely noisy, no ambiance, basically got our salad 90 seconds after our order, and our entrées came out before we were done with salad, and then they brought some bread. $40 for mushroom risotto and $40 for a greasy breaded veal, both were the specials, but neither was special at all. NEVER going back, their new management is not good. $160 plus tip, and a waste of money. After we left, went to Mulligans Pub to get something to eat because we were both hungry.

It took fifty minutes to get our entrees and thirty minutes to get first round of drinks. We went twice in a week and each time it was the same. Disappointing

Overall the experience was solid, music and service were ok. We definitely felt that we were rushed out. Having only ordered two pasta dishes. The rigatoni was subpar and sauce was definitely not the best.

Pricing was a bit high but what do you expect? It’s the location

Went here twice over Xmas break. Got the oysters, Caesar salad to start and both were excellent. The shrimp cocktail only came with 3 shrimp and it was a bit over priced for 3 shrimp. I got the salmon which was excellent and husband had the airplane chicken which was pretty ok. For desert had the chocolate creme brûlée which was just chocolate pudding but it came with 2 macarons which were excellent. We will be back!

very expensive for the food quality. the prices are really too high and businesses are taking full advantage of inflation and the fact that thre are not many good places to eat in the village. No respect for consumers.

We had excellent meals and great appetizers. The presentation of our food was world class. The mushrooms, spinach and long hot appetizers we loved. Perfectly cooked salmon with misago! Tender venison medallions. All the food at the table was enjoyed thoroughly including a special order vegan dish. Thank you.

Verde is no longer the old Verde we all loved! Yes, the staff was friendly. However, the food is well off the mark that would demand the prices. My kids had the bolognese…usually a real crowd pleaser. It was so dry, they didn’t finish their meals. I chose the venison. Went along with the chefs recommended temperature of medium rare. It was grey and tasteless.

Granted, they’ve only been open a couple weeks under Stratton ownership, so perhaps there is a chance they might get it together. Though I have little confidence. It would seem the old Verde is simply a thing of the past.

Disappointing. First time there having a house in VT for many years. Service great! Bread/butter served before meal not appetizing. Bread stale and butter was frozen. Pasta with duck dry and needing spices. Husband asked for cherry for his drink-they didn't have any. Staff excellent but meal huge disappointment.

I was worried about Verde given the change of ownership from independent to Stratton owned. But was pleasantly surprised by our visit there. The staff is all new so all the folks I knew and loved for years are gone, but the margaritas are still excellent as were the lamb chops on special. So Verde lives on!

The new VERDE was awful. The original VERDE was a class act - amazing service, great food, ambiance, etc.

Everything about our visit to the NEW VERDE was disappointing. We will not be recommending or going back again.

Verde changed ownership and the quality of the food and service has dropped SIGNIFICANTLY. They have a new chef and staff and the menu is limited and the service is extremely slow. Verde used to be my family's go to restaurant at Stratton and unfortunately we won't be returning any time soon.
