Good and service were wonderful! I recommend heaters for the outdoor seating area. We weren't uncomfortable because we dressed appropriately, but the food cooled off pretty quickly

Had a lovely dinner there with a friend. She ordered the vegan mole dish and I ordered the carne asada salad - both were delicious. I even ended up going there again for lunch the next day, which was equally tasty!

This is my 3rd time having brunch at Verde Cocina, 2nd time at this location. Excellent friendly service and incredible food. The menu items are authentic, delicious, well presented. Very unique items.

We love Verde Cocina but can't always get to the farmer's market to get it. Healthy and delicious the food is always delicious and is a different take on Mexican. The menu may seem overly health food oriented, but don't let that fool you! The fresh vegetables are a great addition to delicious, Mexican food. Get the gringas con mole or the poblano relleno, which is baked not fried. Their guacamole is great. Highly recommend. Nice to have as a mid-priced, nicer sit down Mexican restaurant.

Our experience on Thursday afternoon was everything we have come to expect from Verdi Cocina. Good food, good service, and (bonus) at that time of day, very quiet. Of course, we'll be back.

Excellent food. Since all is gluten-free, my husband can enjoy a bowl of mac & cheese (with superb pork belly bacon and veggies). I had pork enchiladas, which come with veggies and a yummy coconut-poblano sauce. Service was very good. It's kind of an odd little space (compared with their more interesting former space on Glisan), but in a good location. Although we sat inside last night, they have great outdoor spaces set up. We have been fans of Verde Cocina for years and last night was a great reminder of why we love it.

Biggest negative was the service. But in these COVID times, it's very hard to fault for that. Also, we elected to sit outside, which put us under a somewhat temporary looking pop up thing with a very stick wooden table. Now for the good stuff. 100% gluten free!! Great menu! The joy of being able to order a quesadilla was immeasurable, and it was really good....heavy on the veggies but that's okay. Some good spicy salsas and an excellent guacamole. Most menu items could be vegetarian or vegan and mostly meats were an added item. Servers were nice and aware of the slow serving time. If I lived in Portland I would definitely return!

Food and service was very good. The building housing Verde Covina is under renovation/repair, very loud construction noise took away any conversation we could have had.
Will not go there until construction is done.

I made a reservation on open table. It was confirmed. When we go to the restaurant they did not honor the reservation. They said they did not have a table. I showed them the confirmation email. They said the problem was with open table and not them.

The food was fine. Pretty bland and lacking salt & pepper, using the fresh chips helped (those were amazing). Overall, "spicy" isn't spicy......
The service was absolutely terrible. And the drinks were disappointing.

Friendly service but currently under construction, so not the best atmosphere.

As for the food, it was hit or miss. The pork Chile rellano was quite good. However, the Verde enchiladas were pretty bland. The Verde salsa was coconut based and lacked the acidity and/or spice you would want to flavor the other ingredients.

I get the approach of putting a unique spin on classics, but it's risky if the result is less flavorful than the original.

We visited Portland for three days and booked five OpenTable restaurants. This was far and away the best. The layers of flavor they get into their food are amazing. The area is also much nicer and more relaxed than downtown.

We had a great dinner here! I was with my 17 and 12 year old daughters who aren't picky eaters, but have a definite idea of what Mexican food "should" be (we live in San Diego, which informs that (limited) idea), but regardless, they very much enjoyed this fresh and interesting twist on Mexican. My meal was amazing. There were plenty of vegetarian options and bravo for having a mocktail menu! I'm alcohol free and it's always nice to have fun options. Thank you!
Additionally, our server was friendly, genuine and attentive.

Great meeting place for a business dinner. Attentive wait staff. Something on the menu for every imaginable dietary need. Every was delicious. Only hassle is parking.

The food was so bland, that i didn’t finish 3/4 of my meal and left hungry. They called it “chicken fajitas” but was really a bowl of baked chicken, kale, carrots, a piece of onion and a side of garbanzo beans and 2 corn tortillas. Not like any fajitas I’ve had! Despite looking well seasoned, it had no flavor! My fiance said his steak was “not like BAD bad, just bad”. Service and atikoapgwde were fine.
