Wonderful restaurant experience. From the moment we walked in when we were greeted and seated by the pleasant and helpful Hostess to the professional Wait staff to the delicious food we were very satisfied.
We enjoyed an excellent lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The flourless chocolate cake was equisite!
First time and it was lovely. Great little hidden gem in JoCo
Perhaps they are still ironing things out with plating since our dishes were unimpressive with the exception of the Caeser salad and fresh-squeezed orange juice mimosas.
Our steak came with a small slab of Mâitre d' Butter that made the strip taste nutty and so we asked for steak sauce or Grey Poupon to liven it with some acidity, but they only had ketchup and malt vinegar. It was only later on at night that I was looking through the menu online for our next dish to try, that I saw our dish was supposed to come with a Béarnaise Sauce.
Another gripe I have was the deceptive naming of Clam chowder, the soup was predominantly porky in its flavor profile and should have been called Ham Chowder.
We went on Saturday, which means brunch. We like to try different menu items. We started with duck meatballs. They were so good, my daughter asked for more after she finished her waffles. My wife and I both had the Eggs Benedict and it was the best we’ve had in town. The eggs were poached to perfection. Thai was not our first time at Verbena and it won’t be our last. They are consistently good. A real gem.
The food and drinks were great. But it was so loud.
After being seated and greeted by the server, it took over 10 minutes to get our cocktails. The food was good and service was ok. The Parker house rolls were hard as a rock and quite a mess with “everything bagel” seasoning on the top.
Service...could have more attentively, checked in with us for water needs and satisfaction levels.
Food...the burger was the best value and enjoyed by my guest. Fish and chips, were not served as described on the menu. I had to request malt vinegar. Fish was mostly batter (albeit good) and hardly 2 mouthfuls of fish. Broccoli was burnt. Definitely not worth the price.
Deserts were delightful.
Our server and the sommelier were excellent. We loved our experience for our special occasion!
The restaurant and location are awesome. It’s a new build but it feels historic so they’ve done a nice job. The food was good but too salty on the scallops and French onion dip with chips. Cocktail was outstanding. The waitress seemed a little hurried, more like we were numbers to move along rather than people to serve. I would recommend and attend again but would order something else.
Amazing food and service. Beautiful patio as well!
Great place! Amazing food and in house drinks.
Excellent service and food quality. Loved the ambiance - great business lunch/dinner or special occasion venue.
A beautiful setting, lovely decor. We thought the servings were very small for the price. Fabulous desserts.
Service and food were incredible. Server was attentive but not interfering. The ambiance is relaxing and intimate and the noise level is vibrant but not loud. Would defiantly recommend for a special occasion or just an evening out.
We had a nice table by the window. The atmosphere was very nice with lovely chandeliers over the bar and nice plants throughout. Our food was served in a reasonably timely manner and it was quite tasty. The presentation was nice, too.
The food: good quality and attractive presentation, but not a lot of variety. I was disappointed in the $19 cheese tray appetizer that was made up of very small samplings of three cheese varieties.
Atmosphere: We went early in the evening so it was relatively quiet.
Prices: I felt the prices were high for everyday dining; it will probably be a for a special occasion if and when we return.
Small menu and not very friendly to substitutions, but what we did have was very good. Beautiful interior.
Great food and fun. Portions a touch small (only 3 scallops).
Patio was a nice space. We’ll covered in case of rain. Staff friendly and gracious
Servers were great! Food was high end and the atmosphere very good for conversation! Loved it!
Pleasant, beautiful dining venue with tasty, filling food.
Date night happy hour followed by dinner. Did not disappoint!
My only complaint was the entrée arrived before we completed our appetizer.
The food felt over priced for what you got. We were also charged for the birthday dessert that they offered.
Our service was superb! The food was delicious and fresh and the setting is crisp and attractive.
It's a delightful place to dine!
I was so pleased with Verbena until lately. Your menu has changed to the point that all of my favorites have been taken off the list. Example: Lobster Mac and Cheese - Fish and Chips - etc. I have brought many people to Verbena but due to the menu changes I'll think twice due to the food changes. So sorry.
Spent some one on one time with oldest adult son; we enjoy trying new places, Verbena did not disappoint. Table on the Veranda, great waitress, bottle of French Rose’, and a tasty lunch that was stunningly presented. We felt like we’d been transported to maybe Georgia or the Carolinas.
Lunch was fine. One of the guests wanted a burger and you were out of meat. That was surprising.
Clam chowder outstanding as were the desserts.
Fantastic experience! The food was delicious and the ambiance perfection.
Fabulous food, excellent service, lovely atmosphere
Had hear mixed reviews. Our lunch couldn't not have been any better from food to service to ambiance. I will return!
The small plate with the scallops was not what I expected, but it was good and I enjoyed it. I had the Cod which was cooked perfectly. However, the greens that came with it were tough and bitter. I also found the Fingerling potatoes to be rather boring. My wife's chicken dish was good, but not inspired. The asparagus that came with it was burned and un-edible. The atmosphere was really nice. We really enjoyed the space. Just one issue with the room. There was a door to the patio that would let out a squeal every time it was opened and closed, really annoying over two hours. So overall, for $200 we expect a little more.
Awesome anniversary dinner. Food and service were top notch!
We loved the round booth near the windows at this quaint restaurant with beautifully presented and delicious food. I don't mind paying a little extra for exceptional service and quality food. The butter lettuce salad is to die for!
Verbena never fails to impress. Prompt, attentive service, delicious food, great cocktails, and an interesting wine list. What else could you ask for?
Great presentation and perfectly done scallops! Will go back!
This was a great restaurant for my wife and I as we celebrated our anniversary together. The staff was great and the food was delicious!
The smoked salmon breakfast open faced sandwich was TOO SMOKY. The toast it was on was SO hard, like it had been toasted a while ago. Very hard to cut. I missed the vegetarian dish they had on the menu a month or so ago. It was exceptional. There is nothing much on the menu now that sounds good. I will go back to try to scallops, but it has slipped from one of my favorite restaurants to just an OK one. Some friends had dinner there the other night and a few had a bad food experience.
Great service from Emma. The kitchen has assembled a varied and delicious menu. The chicken and cod are especially notable
