   Mixed experience. Service was excellent and professional. Food- half was great and half was subpar. Shrimp flatbread wasn’t cooked well- crust was doughy not even a little crisp. And toppings were raw. The veggie flatbread by contrast was well prepared and the chicken sandwich was terrific. Fried green tomatoes were also very good.

   Friendly and cheerful staff, also accommodating for our 100th Birthday get together. Lunch food selection was good although the prices were a bit high. Food was tasteful, the right temperature and came in reasonable amount of time. Recommend the Veranda-St as a good place to have a special lunch. ( have not eaten there for dinner ).

   The staff needs to be trained.. seriously. On customer service, taking orders, greetings and everything a server need to have as common sense.

   The new veranda is lovely. I wish there was some way to put a screen on the window. I know it is fall, but we had flies landing on us and our food, and that takes away just a tad. Sorry. Without the flies, everything is great.

   Absolutely loved it! They created a nice little patio with beautiful flowers, the river was a little difficult I see in certain areas of the patio but you were still able to see a small part of it. All in all, I would definitely go back again.

   We had dinner with friends from out of town. The hostess found a table for us on the patio. The weather was perfect for dining outside. The food was excellent & we had a great time.

   The wait at the front desk for someone to acknowledge our large party was quite long. We had a reservation, and once someone finally did come by to check us in, we were seated. The waitress did not take a drink order until we had already started eating from the buffet (20 minutes or more from the time we sat down). She acted very flustered and told one of our party that he would have to wait for a while for his Bloody Mary since there was no bartender. There were numerous disturbing flies swarming our table as well as feasting on the buffet itself. This was quite unappetizing. The quality and selection on the buffet was subpar, and certainly not in keeping with the air of sophistication and upscale surroundings of the St. James Hotel. I have taken many people there for the buffet in the past, and it was always excellent. This was a disappointment that will not be forgotten when it comes to future events. Perhaps the casino would be a better choice.

   The hostess was quite rude and the table server seemed a bit put off and actually forgot about us. I do still recommend this place and I have had other awesome experiences. I hope it was just this Saturday's shift and staff that made my visit today unpleasant. Food was very tasty.

    Good overall experience but one flaw marred the evening. Upon our arrival that night I looked at my online banking site which includes our Visa charges. Though it was quickly credited back to us, some other diner's bill had been erroneously charged to our card! A bit disconcerting and disappointing for that to occur at an establishment such as yours. Hopefully this happens very infrequently!
