The menu is seasonal, casual and approachable. Shareable items include specialty flatbreads baked in our outdoor oven. In addition, a broad selection of salads made with locally sourced produce as well as vegetable, fish, and meat focused dishes.
Came for brunch and the previous time I visited the bottomless mimosas were included with entrees, but this time they were not. My bad for not noticing on the bill until it was too late, though. The ambiance is lovely and would absolutely return for a relaxed brunch by the pool!
Great! We had a great time. Everything was perfect. TY!
Beautiful spot hidden in downtown with great food
The atmosphere was very nice and the food was terrific!
Best guacamole and salsa I’ve ever eaten!
Came here for brunch on Easter Sunday and fell in love. The decor inside both the hotel and restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the restaurant has a nice pool view.
Food is also delicious and moderately priced, and who can beat $11 bottomless mimosas?! And they don’t stiff you on the champagne eiThe only dish I thought was overpriced was the $32 steak & eggs because at that price, I expect a steak that is TO DIE FOR.
$10 valet or street parking, and the restaurant validates for the first 2 hours. The restaurant is pool side and and only partially enclosed, but there are heat lamps all throughout to keep you warm.
The menu had totally changed. It's not mediterranean anymore.
What a jewel of a place in the gorgeously remodeled Hotel Figueroa. Conveniently located within a block of Staples Center. We went before a Laker game and had great cocktails and shared delicious appetizers. Table was perfect in a beautiful covered indoor/outdoor room with a bar and next to a chic pool area. We loved the design, food, service and ambiance. Such a nice change of pace from LALive. We will be returning!
This is an oasis in the middle of DTLA! Great ambiance, and our server was friendly and helpful. We were pretty hungry so we ordered ceviche, Caesar salad, grilled Branzini and zucchini flatbread for 2. Our server recommended that we cut back. Good thing we took his advice! Everything was delicious!
The menu was extremely limited, and the food was just ordinary.
Delicious Food/Drinks. The zucchini flat bread with burrata and lemon zest was amazing.
Service was "family style" in the sense that you didn't have a designated server and instead everyone helped all tables. This made things a little confusing/sometime they would repeat offering the same questions/suggestion so I guess you could say the service was too good!
Great vibe for a nice night
Very beautiful place but food could have been better considering the price relative to other joints.
We had a nice time. The view of the pool is outstanding. The Branzzimo was the best. We got the ricotta dip but it’s too sweet. Suggest the hummus instead
The Hotel fig is my new favorite spot downtown! We have dinned and had drinks on a few different occasions and each experience was wonderful. The service is far above the other places in the area.
The service and food was excellent last night at the Veranda. My only suggestion is don't try the cocktail from the specialty menu with Mescal ( I forgot the name of the drink) Both recent trips this was recommended. I made the mistake of trying it the first time. Maybe it's a personal preference thing but did not like it at all and no one at are table did. This time I had the Pisco punch, don't let the name fool you it's not really a punch but more a take on a classic Pisco sour but not as sour! So good I had to have two! Would like to see a few more options, maybe a gin based specialty cocktail
Dinner is shared plates which was perfect for my wife and I. The Asparagus' was so tasty, I'm sure this was fresh farm to table the flavor was great. It was served on a bed of quinoa but better than any I have had before it had pomegranate at was roasted with something, This could be a dish all on its own. Before that we started with the Rosetta very refreshing and different with honey and walnuts! As a main we enjoyed the grilled chicken that was served with two very tasty different sauces
Can't wait to go back.
Too expensive for what you get and the wine pour was stingy for the money
I saw a review of the Hotel Figueroa on a Sunday tv show and it looked interesting - the menu & the drinks.
My group and I needed a place to meet and eat after the Women's Day March & Rally and I thought this is the place. It worked out great for location, food and service. Also, the view of the pool was perfect. Looking forward to a return visit.
We went for lunch on a rainy day. They seated us at a great table and service was excellent. We loved the food. I highly recommend!
Went for breakfast. The ambiance is amazing. Service was a bit slow. We were seated towards an outside corner. So maybe that’s why?
Perfect place for a birthday lunch!
The historic Hotel property houses three restaurants which means that what you order dictates when dishes arrive at your table. The menu is very limited but the quality of the good is stellar. Best of all, the restaurant is walking distance to the Staples Center.
Fantastic experience for a first time visit. Food was tasty and drinks were good, but a bit steep. Overall, satisfied with service and ambience.
Fantastic setting off the pool. Menu small. The pizzas are good but this place is all about the setting. In a great hotel. At least the lobby.
Food was bad, service okay.
Pretty hotel but would not come back to eat.
Difficult to get to and poor service.. Very noisy. The food was good but we won’t be returning and I can’t reccommen it.
What a beautiful setting for an open restaurant. The view of the beautiful pool made me want to jump right in. The food was delicious and our server was attentive. We will return for sure.
The food was late, cold and was on the level of Denny’s. The Manager came over a couple of times to check, his attitude was not pleasant at first, and then it got a little better. After many excuses, he finally comped the meal. I was not after a free meal, I thought the restaurant would have been run better. The only good thing was the view, overlooking the pool. The restaurant needs a professional overhaul.
Horrible experience! No more than 5 tables including ours, we had a reservation picked our seats and for over 15 minutes nobody came by to ask us that drinks or orders they could get us. There were at least 7 people working including the hostess and bartenders, i finally got a waitress to comeby, and she asked if i had a question. My question was if we could get any service , she nonchalantly said sure, and didn't come back for 5 minutes.
Terrible service — had to get our food to go after 45 minutes
Food takes way too long at the pool side. Staff is really rude and not receptive to feedback. The food is served one at a time. Don't recommend.
The food is very good and it is a great outdoor ambiance for summer. My only complaint was that the music is too loud to enjoy dinner - it is more like a bar / lounge scene.
The hotel is beautiful. Unfortunately, still very new and service is slow. One of the hostesses was incredibly rude to one of our guests visiting from out of town and staying at the hotel.
The ambience and food is consistently very good here. I will become a regular for sure!
Amazing food, drinks and setting. Would highly recommend for lunch or dinner
The dining area was bright and nicely decorated, with an open wall overlooking the pool area. The service was pleasant and unobtrusive, allowing a casual and leisurely experience without feeling that we were forgotten or ignored. There was moderate noise, but we could still easily carry on a conversation.
We went for lunch and ordered the yellowtail crudo, a suckling pig flatbread, and a potato-leek flatbread. All were good, though a tad bland. I kept wanting to add a touch of something to jazz-up the flavor.
I’ll give them another try.
Food is creative and excellent. Try the yellowtail crudo, lollipop kale, zucchini flatbread. Only negative is wine list needs to be expanded.
Great lunch spot, feels a little bit like vacation!
Incredible experience on all fronts amazing food and service
They are located inside the Hotel Figueroa. It was one of my favorite spots. I didn't get to explore too much other than walking from Figueroa into the restaurant (passing through lobby). It was a Moroccan themed hotel. Not sure if they kept that vibe. It looked more modern Moroccan if anything. It's definitely cozy by the bar area before the restaurant. In the restaurant, it's small so when this place is up and running, they will probably be packed. Highly recommend a reservation here. They still kept the view from this place to the pool. It's quaint. The food, ehh. I am not a fan of their options It says Vegetables (entrees) when they have protein (confusing a bit). It's best to order a couple or a few plates and share if party of 2. I hope their menu is seasonal.
