Veraison is a Wine Country Bistro. We focus on the incredible local ingredients that surround us here in the Napa Valley. The menu and wine list are ever changing based on the seasons and what local treats are available to us. The outdoor patio (former parking lot) is lovely with big red umbrellas and sparkling lights at night. Great ambiance and plenty of distance.

Not a great selection of salads and appetizers but decent Cesar salad. Entrees offered plenty to choose from; we had the shrimp and polenta which was amazing and full of flavor and the salmon which was also good. Great wine list with plenty of reasonable single-glass options. We will definitely go back.

Our waiter was helpful and made some great recommendations for dinner. We were so satisfied with our meals. We were celebrating our anniversary and we were greeted with a complimenatry glass of Champagne, classy touch. Great place for a romantic evening!!!

As with all restaurants right now, they’re doing their best in a tough situation, we liked the new outdoor patio. Service is top notch and the French prefix menu was tasty, however, the appetizers could have been presented and prepared with more care.

This new outdoor dining space is fantastic. I hope that the restaurant can figure out a way to make the arrangement permanent. We also love the alternating specialty prix fox menus. Lovely way to explore foods from around the country and the globe. Fingers crossed that they can also figure out how to make this work through the winter! But regardless it’s so great to be able to have great food in this wonderful new outdoor space!

As an appetizer-centric eater, I loved the watermelon and feta salad and oysters. But the grilled shrimp also a winner! Outside seating is spacious, mellow, super clean.

My wife and I are on vacation during COVID. The food was great as was the service. There was a duo playing pleasant music. There wasn’t much to look at in the outside dining area.

My favorite stop for a leisurely glass of wine and some charcuterie! Nice menu without any fluff and frills that will leave you satisfied. Oysters were freshly shucked, daily delivered Marin miyagis! Award winning wine list from $8 a glass to hundreds of dollars per bottle! Something for everyone! Check out the patio, it’s a brand new addition to the restaurant.

The kitchen was obviously having an off day. Both tables next to us had issues with their dishes. Our squid main was not seasoned and the squid over cooked. The server was doing her best.

This was the worst restaurant experience of my life. It took them 20 minutes after being seated to take our order. It took another 30 minutes to bring us any food. During this time we spoke to the waiter multiple times to ask what was going on. He apologized each time, but nothing improved. After sitting there for 50 minutes, we were brought what was supposed to be crab bisque. The "bisque" was a beige watery mess that smelled odd, tasted bad, and contained no crab. We spoke to the waiter and the manager, paid for the bottle of wine they had opened for us, and left. Do not go to this restaurant.

It was my mother's birthday and she received her food at least 5 minutes after ours. All our disshes were overcooked. I would not go back. The waiter, however, was very apologetic and lovely.

Again, a top-notch experience! Used the Open Table app to reserve a table for 5 on very short notice, even though the restaurant was very busy. Post-Christmas get together with friends and family. The six Virginica oysters shared by two of our party were proclaimed delicious. A beet salad and seared artichoke was had by the rest of the party. Very tasty. Entrees of grilled shrimp, chicken and ribs were exceptional. Topping off the evening we shared the cheesecake, the chocolate empanada, and, my personal favorite, the “Candy Capped” Beignets. The beignets alone were well worth the hour and one half trip (one way)! So creamy, warm, sweet and irresistible! Trust me on this, life is too short to not enjoy a well presented dinner at Veraison, and beignets! Did I mention the Beignets? As always, Danny (the owner), and his staff went out of their way to make our meal perfect.

The pricing here is just out of whack. I ordered the Seared Artichoke, it was $13 and a very small half of an artichoke, not even a large globe artichoke. Several of the dishes were bland, served tepid or a bit off. It's a lovely spot, but the food needs more attention.

This is my favorite restaurant in town but the scallops were just too salty. On a positive note the Virginica oysters were excellent. I’m not giving up on this place. It’s still underrated.

Excellent food, good service.
We got a nice table by the window.
All dishes were excellent. The only exception was cheesecake, which was firm and looked more like a piece of soap than a dessert, but that was not enough to spoil what otherwise was a great dinner.

Let it be said that this restaurant provides only French cuisine and should not under any circumstances prepare meal from a different culture. That so I mean by that my Thanksgiving diner started with a choice of salad or butternut squash soup .
My salad was excellent, but unfortunately for the other parties in my group had the very bland , tasteless soup.
Now for the turkey and sides 😫😭OMG!! It seems the cook 👩‍🍳 was preparing this meal for senior age group. The meal was such a disappointment that we both packed up for my dogs.
The turkey tasted right out of the packaging. Seriously, the French are supreme in cooking but this cook was the worst I’ve ever encountered from such a restaurant.
The salmon was also tasteless.
Finally my pecan pie came to me after an error from the server. It looked as if it was the last bit in the box.
A small and mediocre sample , although it was very sweet.
The champagne was amazing, but half the glass. Oh well 😔
The final blow, It took a while for the check to arrive , finally we were billed more until we found out it was someone else’s check.
My hubby decided that we are never to enjoy the restaurant again.
It was horrible 😤😭

Food was heavy and tasteless. More in line with an airport Applebee’s than a costly fine-dining experience. I won’t be back.
