Excellent service. Waiter was very attentive. Food perfectly prepared came out with little wait. The octopus appetizer was a little disappointing with only 4 small
Pieces and a little dry. Otherwise the beats salads was amazing and the salmon and branzino were excellent.

The food is delicious and the service is good, just not a fan of Manhattan style seating, I like sitting outside in the warmer weather, Good place overall!

I’ve been to this restaurant twice and both times the food and service were great. I don’t remember our waiters name but both times that I came here they were both genuine, kind, and attentive (even on Valentine’s Day when it was packed). I love this place !

We went for our anniversary which happens to be Valentines Day. We rarely go out on the actual day as most restaurants are crazy that night. This year I decided to go to one of our favorite places and it did not disappoint. Food was on point, service was great. Enjoyed the selections available from the prefixe as well.
Mario stopped by the table to chat for a few minutes and was pleasant as always. Verace still is one of my neighborhood favorites!

Very unfortunate to see what has happened to this great restaurant. This story ends up with my wife and I getting up from our table, walking out, and finding a better meal elsewhere. My wife and I had a tradition of dining at Verace every Valentine’s Day. We’ve done this since the restaurant opened several years back! They always had a list of Valentine’s Day specials, in addition to their normal great menu of $18-$22 priced dishes. Well, this year they changed. The only option was a prix fix menu, $165 per couple!!!!!!! How unfortunate and absurd. $65 per person, plus tax and tip, will land you slightly above $165 - with no beverages of course. What a rip off. We got up from our table, walked out and went down to Sayville for a nice Valentine’s Day meal. When I called for the reservations, they should have mentioned it. Or at least on the website. Tough luck for Verace.

Went way back when it first opened as a small plate/tapas type italian restaurant. The food was great but the quantity of food and cost was ridiculous. Heard that they changed the menu and have gone back several times now. Everything I've had has been delicious along with my family. Went last year for my daughter's graduation dinner of 12 . Everybody enjoyed it.

This has always been a fav of mine. Their menu, although not huge, has some really eclectic meals. The pasta is made on the premise, they have great drinks, nice wine list, and a great ambiance. We went for my birthday and I was not disappointed! I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!

I won’t normally leave reviews but when management provides great service it deserves to commended. Our reservation was over 25 minutes late. I have zero filter and made sure I expressed how I was annoyed that I’m eating dinner at 9:30 vs our 8:45 reservation. With that being said... they answered to my compliant really well. The general manager had our waiter bring off two free apps, which were an incredible. I wish i knew our waiters name to give him a shoutout. He seemed so young but so professional, just amazing. We will be back

Each weekly wine dinner seems to out-do the previous one. The Peconic Bay Scallop preparation with purple cauliflower was a delight, while the steak and mashed potatoes with mushrooms was pure comfort food! We were in food heaven! Afterwards, chatting convivially with several other patrons, we all realized that this is an exceptional place with special people and amazing positive energy.

The food was excellent but the wait service was terrible. We waited 45 minutes between our appetizers and main course. We could not get his attention and had to call a bus boy to get him. When the runner brought the food he came over immediately to ask how it was and we had not even tasted it yet. He never came back after that until we were finally done. We had to ask a bus boy to get another drink. When we were done we had to get his attention to get the check and when he brought the check we had to get his attention again to take it from us. We asked to have something wrapped and he said he would be right back. That took another 15 minutes. Overall the food was excellent but it became annoying to be waited on that way. We were not the only ones experiencing this because others around us were complaining about the same thing. I want to think they were just having a bad night but I’m not sure I would go back again.

The Bohlsen Restaurant Group has a great group of restaurants, each with their own unique flair, but they all have fantastic food and great service. I have been to each several times and have never come away disappointed. We chose Verace for my wife's birthday and had a great time.

Chef Mike made us a custom salmon preparation -- similar to the swordfish dish in the Facebook video -- that was outstanding! Loved it! The staff is so gracious and friendly which adds to our dining experience.

Everything was excellent, as always! Verace had some great Restaurant Week options. I usually don't do Restaurant Week promotions as I find the food choices limited and lacking but the Bohlsen Restaurant Group made the options so appealing, I said "why not?" and went to Verace and H2O for back-to-back dinners. The food was perfect, and the service provided by Ingrid, Isaiah, Brian, and Caesar was top-notch! Host Dana was warm and welcoming as she always is, and I was happy to chat with and General Manager Mario who is always so great to talk with about food, fine dining, and life. If you haven't been to Verace yet, you must go!

Excellent filet. Also had the arugula salad as an app with shaved parm and a hint of truffle oil in the dressing. Our server did a great job. Although I don’t eat at Verace as often as I’d like, it’s been great every time!

We went on Friday night during restaurant week. Service was excellent from the moment we entered the door.
The food was excellent from start to finish and the portions were generous. We had an arugula salad which my wife said was the best salad she'd ever had - it had a slight flavor of truffle. And their delicious cacio y pepe pasta which is a simple dish of spaghetti with parmagiano and cracked pepper. So so good.
Then we had a huge beautiful flounder oreganata and a beef wellington. My wife and I shared as we usually do. I had the fish first. I usually have extreme food envy when a person I'm with has beef and I have fish. I always realize what a terrible mistake I've made in the interest of health! But not this time....the fish was really fresh, light and flavorful.
But then it was my turn for the Wellington! Wow! Perfectly cooked filet in a delicate flavorful crust with a fantastic bit of sauce on the plate. Just....wow.
We were absolutely stuffed after that.
Oh yeah, and we went for the wine pairing to accompany the restaurant week menu...the wines were generously poured and really good. Great deal.
I had a cannoli for dessert I would have liked more if I wasn't stuffed and if I wasn't a cannoli snob. Shell was fresh and perfect but the cream was a bit pectin-y for my taste.

The service was very personable and accommodating. The meatballs appetizer and arugula salad were delicious as well as the flounder and the beef wellington was cooked to perfection. Restaurant week gave me the opportunity to enjoy great food at a great price and this is a restaurant I would absolutely dine out again in the near future.

They were incredibly attentive. While the food is pricey, it is well worth it. Also, though it seems minor, they do not charge for unlimited sparkling water, proving they don’t want to nickel and dime you.

The restaurant is pretty and contemporary. The menu doesn't offer a great variety, but it does have a little bit of everything. The prices for some appetizers are higher than other places, but the entrees are comparable to similar restaurants. The Grilled Octopus app was good, but not worth $19. Both our entrees--Flat Iron Steak and Chicken Parm--were okay. The Flourless Chocolate Cake was delish, though. Take note of the prices and double-check your bill--they overcharged me for both glasses of wine. (FYI, Tellers, which is also a part of this restaurant group) overcharged our dinner party of nine last year by HUNDREDS of dollars, so make sure you know the prices of your alcohol, in particular!!)
