    Service was extremely slow and rarely came by for water , also forgot a dish we ordered . But food that did come was delicious and ambiance was good

    It took us over an hour to get my Market salad with chicken. The salad was good but the chicken was way dry and over cooked. Our meals did not come at the same time either. The waitress said they were having problems in the kitchen without the place being crowded. No offer of compensation. No visit from the manager.

    I live down the street from Venus, I walked over there with my friend to have lunch and some drinks, after we sat down they completely forgot about us, it wasn’t busy when we got there, It took a long time for everything, people came and went and we were still waiting, I never give a bad tip, but I did the minimum this time and I ordered my food to go because of the wait.

    4out of the 5 times I’ve eaten at Venus in the past 3-4 months I’ve been sorely disappointed. I’ve kept going back because previously I really enjoyed their menu and service and kept hoping they’d figured out how to fix their “issues”. Bottom line - they haven’t. Food quality and service overall have continued to spiral downward. Majority of the time if my partner and I have complained (mushy rice, wilted salad, dry overcooked fish or poultry, etc) about our meal we’ve been either ignored or treated as if WE were the problem. Maybe the answer is to avoid them entirely on the weekend. Bottom line - I won’t be going back anytime soon. Signed - Sad, once was a fan.

    If you are dining outside, wear very warm clothes. It is windy at the beach & the 4 of us were freezing. There were 3 outdoor heaters & only 1 was working. We tried to eat inside but it was very noisy. Our wait staff had way too much to do! While he was very friendly, we did not see him often enough. The calm chowder was delicious. The fish & chips came with 1 piece of fish. The 4 of us had an array of drinks. All delicious!
