   Loved our experience at Venteux. The food was incredible and our service from Ella was even better. It was quiet and dimly lit - perfect ambiance for a date night with my husband. The French onion soup was one of the best I’ve ever had. Both of our steaks were cooked a perfect medium rare. Highly recommend!

   We really enjoyed our brunch at Venteux. It is obviously a "happening place" but unpretentious. Really lovely decor and ambience. Food was quite good. Service was top notch. We would return but would love to have dinner next time.

   Birthday brunch for my boyfriend this morning. We had walked by 100 times and it’s always busy, so we thought this would be the perfect opportunity for a reservation. Absolutely incredible! We will definitely be back. The atmosphere is visually stunning and the food all looked like art.

   Service was EXCELLENT! This was the best martini I have EVER HAD! During the busy St. Patrick’s day celebrations we had a relaxing evening in this beautiful restaurant. Our server had great recommendations. He had a wonderful personality that contributed to our fun girls weekend. I hope to make this a regular stop every time I visit Chicago.

   I really enjoy Venteux! I have been here several times. Food and service are always great! Noise level is a bit high so I usually dine here alone. But I love the Parisian atmosphere! I’m happy it is close by and I have brought friends and family. It’s just a little hard to converse. I seriously wish they would return the duck breast to the menu. It was very delicious and individual unlike the whole duck on the menu. Not everyone likes duck so finding someone to share with can be difficult. The duck breast you did have on the menu at opening was a perfect medium and so flavorful! Please bring it back! Wait staff are always friendly and servers amazing!

    Another fantastic meal. The distinct oysters from East and west were fun to compare (though we did love even more varieties in the past). The dry aged duck for two was truly memorable as a French nod to the Peking Duck we miss in a world of different travels. Wrapping smoky duck in crepes with fun sauces was a decadent delight. The presentation and depths of flavors in the dessert cherry wood smoked chocolate layers was also something we won’t forget. The wines by the glass are so well chosen — able to match the courses in fun complements. But really the most important aspect was being treated like friends visiting together rather than as customers, from chef Marcel through the staff.

    I went for brunch with my husband with the bottomless mimosas. The food was delicious (venteaux breakfast, baked Brie, and ratatouille), the service was fantastic (champagne glass topped off consistently before reaching half empty), and we had an all around wonderful time.

    We really enjoyed our dinner here! I had a winter salad with beets and candied walnuts and the Trout. It was excellent!! Wine was great. Husband and I enjoyed fantastic escargot for an appetizer. Definitely be coming back.

    Double date with our friends, right before going to the ballet. Had to hit up Venteux for their amazing food and wine! The French onion soup is my favorite in the city. Amazing!! Loved the happy hour oysters. $22 for 1 dozen East coast! Roasted chicken for main entree - so juicy, tender, perfectly balanced with the roasted carrots 😋👌🏼 Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

    Lovely ambience and service. We enjoyed the cocktails and sides. We were not very happy with the steak cut for two that we ordered. When the manager asked how we enjoyed it, and we told him the same, he explained why that cut of meat (for $100+) was sometimes tough.

    Feels like stepping into a sales event. Waiter is extremely condescending, tried to sell us useless things at every opportunity, and rushed us out before we even finished the course. Food itself is good.

    The overall quality of the food was good. The chicken was especially tender. The price of the drinks were just too much. $20 plus tax plus tip per cocktail is getting ridiculous.

    We went for my birthday brunch and I can honestly say it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Our server was amazing, the food was delicious, and the bottomless mimosas were the cherry on top. We can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend!

    Overall the place and ambience is great. There are many dishes to choose. there is a good deal for the bottomless mimosa or Rose and bloody marry. our server and other staff are great. Food is ok some good or some is normal. I love the french onion soup. It’s a good place to try.

    I sat at the bar and the bartender provided excellent service. I had a couple of very good drinks and dinner. The dinner service was prompt. The oysters were perfect and I had the mussels which were great. Would definitely recommend and would go back again when I return to chicago.

    Broth with the mussels was completely void of flavor; wait staff greeted us by asking if we head down there before. When we said, no, you could tell she was told to upsell the entire menu. She explained how other guests who have dined there before order from the menu, indicating they order one thing from every course. She didn’t ask us about any of our preferences, and then went into a detailed explanation of the steak Frites. (We don’t eat meat.) On the other hand, they did do a very inventive ratatouille with jalapeños.

    We had a wonderful dinner at Venteaux during restaurant week. My salad, arctic char and creme brûlée were delicious and my husband loved his onion soup, burger and chocolate dessert (rye and ?). The service was great, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere made this a great way to end a work week.

    The food was to die for. We got the Duck + Waffle, Ratatouille, and Banh My Hash - all cooked to perfection. Our mimosas were never empty and the staff was very nice the entirety of our dining experience. 10/10 would recommend.

    This is a really nice spot. I went twice in one week. The food was good. The ambience was really nice and we had very good customer service. Our waitress Jess was professional, friendly and had good knowledge of the menu for food recommendations. It was a very cool experience. I will be coming back.
