Authentic Italian Cousine. Amazing environment in a small place. Extensive wine list and very knowledgeable and helpful waiters and service in general.
Perfect for a date!
I lived in Vicenza Italy for about ten years and Veneto has done an amazing job of bringing dishes from the Veneto Region. This is true Italian Food!
Outstanding service, Great atmosphere. The staff is very knowledgeable about the food and wine.
What an amazing restaurant it is small so get reservations well worth the price the food is amazing with even better service!
Amazing little place with great ambiance. They were behind on our reservation and treated us like royalty because they felt so bad. It wasn’t even their fault, just diners who overstayed. The gnocchi is life changing and our server Claudio was hilarious and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
This was our first time eating there and it was fabulous! It was our first date night in a while and we loved everything about this restaurant. The food and service were amazing!
I love the food, staff, ambiance. My favorite place in SLC for any occasion!
The food is dreadful. Gnocchi ( translation “little pillow” ) ended up being like 2 large empanadas. The rest of our meal was barely passable. I do not have a problem spending $285 for dinner and 1 bottle of good wine but this was not good a good meal.
We filled out the small comment sheet at the end of our meal answering honestly about our experience. 3 days later we get an email for a trip to Italy but not addressing our concerns about their food.
I would not recommend it.
Perhaps the chef was off that night and we had some I experienced cooks preparing the food.
Veneto is such a nice addition to Salt Lake's dining arena. The food offerings changes each month so repeat dining doesn't wear on your adventuresome palette. Many of the wines are not available at the state stores, so further adventure and wine knowledge can be gained with each meal. Thank you Amy and Marco for choosing Salt Lake for your restaurant.
The front desk people were very nice and the ambiance was nice and quaint like a good locals restaurant should be. The waiter was hard to understand and seemed nervous to talk to us. The food was at best average. Maybe that is to help bring out the wine flavors but it left us wondering why they charge so much for below average food.
We've been to Veneto twice, and the food is always excellent. This visit, however, was experience was hampered by astonishingly poor service. We were asked to make wine decisions before we had even seen a food menu, we were served our wine and our first course didn't arrive for at least 45 minutes. In the meanwhile, a server slapped a basket of bread on the table with no plates or any olive oil or butter to go with it. Our second course was served at least 45 minutes after our first plate was taken away, making the whole process very drawn out. I asked for coffee, and had to flag down a waiter to get cream to go with it. We really do enjoy the food at Veneto, but will think twice about returning after our last experience.
I grew up eating authentic Italian food at my grandmothers and have always been picky when it comes to eating Italian at a restaurant. This place offers the best authentic Italian meal I’ve ever had from a restaurant, hands down!
While the food is excellent, if your not a foodie or celebrating a special occasion or want to impress a women or significant other, looking for a good meal vs a dininging experience VENETO might not be your first choice.
The most amazing experience. I would fly in just to have dinner here!!! 💗💗💗💗🙌🏻
A rare combination of excellent cuisine in an elegantbut yet relaxed setting makes for a fabulous evening to celebrate anything special or just to experience a moment of epicurean respite!
Ravioli was excellent. Steak entree was supposed to come with polenta and Parmesan. Neither item was on the plate. Asked the waiter about it, he said no, then came back and said yes but never brought the polenta. I would go back for a glass of wine and a pasta but not the entrees.
The bison was WAYY!!! overcooked according to me. When I asked the waiter he said "it is supposed to be WELL done, it makes it more tender". ( I have NEVER has a piece of meat cooked well done and had it be more tender) It was supposed to have a special wine sauce on it and it was nonexistent. My wife's salmon was good. and service was probably one of the best in town.
My favorite restaurant in Salt Lake!!!
New Years Eve dinner had a traditional Venetian fish dinner with many good courses and a great wine pairing . The meal started withcaviar and bubbles that were perfectly matched and went through different type of fish including a great carpaccio to a wonderful fish pairing with a brunello if I recall. The meal was easily comparable to tasting meals in Michelin starred restaurants based on many such meals that we have had over the years.
Great food with slow paced atmosphere and dinning.
Excellent food, rivaling a number of restaurants in Italy. Great service, very welcoming and attentive and charming venue.
This was my third trip to Veneto, the first was for a wine tasting, the second for International Women’s Day, and this, for a Christmas Eve dinner. We began our meal with a white wine called Pecorino from Arezzo which was very good. The antipasto we chose was the burrata e prosciutto crudo…the best prosciutto I have had outside of Italy!
My husband & I had the gnocchi sbatui di mala. The waiter described this as a heavy gnocchi due to the smoked ricotta cheese. The presentation was wonderful and through no fault of the restaurant, I might have preferred a different dish.
Dolce was the semifreddo con amaretti…. also quite wonderful.
I rated the ambiance a bit lower due to the presence of multiple ‘energetic’ small children in the restaurant at our meal time. It was very disruptive to have one screaming child, and another – literally – hanging from the curtains. One would think for a special, rather expensive, holiday dinner the parents could have gotten a sitter. Just my opinion.
Though the visit was overshadowed by the disruptive children, I would return to Veneto for future special events.
Goodness gracious this place was amazing. Every dish was cooked perfectly with subtle yet traditionally bold flavors together. I’ve never had pasta like the pasta here - al dente to a whole new level. Did I meant mention ... goodness gracious this place was amazing?! Ps wine by the glass, good but pricy.
Ottima cena, antipasto con fritto misto leggerò molto buono, tortelli con formaggio e pere, faraona in salsa di melograno, affogato al caffè
Tutto perfetto, vini eccellenti, buon servizio senza mancia per i cametieri
What a treat to find a new place that is truly extraordinary! We both had the risotto and filet and we will definitely be back! Service and food was top notch!
It’s was lovely, perfect for our Christmas dinner get together! Wine was amazing and the filet was cooked to perfection 👌
Having spent some time in the Veneto region of Italy, I was beyond excited to hear of this restaurant near my neighborhood. The food did not disappoint, and the wine selection was mesmerizing!
My boyfriend said we're not allowed to eat there every night... otherwise I totally would! haha
Can’t recommend them enough. I loved Forage in this location, but I love Veneto just as much!!
Great food, an excellent wine list, great service. This place has all the right touches!
Oh Veneto - if you could serve food faster and with a little more flavor - you'd be the perfect restaurant because you've got everything else perfect!
The cuisine rivals that in the best restaurants in Italy. The seasonal menu adds an element of suspense. By far this is our favorite spot to dine in Salt Lake City.
The food is amazing! If you’re looking for excellent Italian food, this is your place!
The service is excellent.
Outstanding food, service, ambience. I highly recommend this restaurant!
It truly is . gem and a find! Dr. Parry
Fabulous food, made with live and care, VENETO is perfect for any special occasion or a quiet, intimate dinner. We had staff pick for us and ate family style with selected pairings of truly delicious wines that paired perfectly with the dishes selected for us. It was a great dinner with friends. We will definitely be back.
great service, love the true Italian experience. coperto as opposed to tipping is a welcome idea. wine list and corkage fees are way over priced. I understand the value of great Italian wine but these prices are off the chart.
Great service, Dinner the way it should be. Take your time and savor the meal and great service
Great food! Everything was excellent and the service was first rate. The noise level, however, was intolerable - very unfortunate.
You can never go wrong with anything you order at Veneto. EVERYTHING is AMAZING!! We have been to many Italian restaurants around town. We always return to Veneto because nothing compares to the quality of food, wine, and service we receive here. This is definitely our FAVORITE place to dine!
Great atmosphere, personalized treatment ..... authentic Italian (I am from Italy myself).
I am particularly in love with their risotto and tagliata with radicchio.
Still, it is always hard to choose since all the items on the menu are spectacular!
Celebrating my 50th birthday
Noise level was terrible by large gathering
Hard to talk
Sweet people served us and gave me a gift
I’d like to try it again
Having just spent a month in Italy, we were looking for a great Italian restaurant, this is the place!!
My wife always has her favorite dish in Florence,Italy at fantastic restaurant called La Giostra, it's a stuffed pear with cheese ravioli and Veneto has the same thing on the menu and she said it was as awesome as in Italy! Veneto also charges a copperto, very similar to Italy, meaning no tipping, of course you can tip if so desire. I highly recommend this place for special evening of fantastic Italian food. 5 star service, food and atmosphere.
