Our menu honors year-round classical favorites and seasonal specialties from the region of Veneto, with ingredients coming from Italy and the finest local purveyors. But it's the experience around those elements that you won't forget.
Being at VENETO is like being in Amy & Marco's home. It's a warm, inviting environment curated with one-of-a-kind antique European furniture and accessories, from the hundreds-year old Italian sofa in the dining room to the Italian marble in the restrooms. We want you comfortable, relaxed, and immersed in Italian culture as you ponder the menu, soak up new knowledge, and enjoy inspired conversation along the way.

Food was very good, but the waiter was rude. He refused to provide any recommendations or even discussions about various dishes. Rather, he simply said, everyone’s palate is unique. I better understood his cold and disinterested attitude when we received the bill and were told there are no gratuities because a percentage charge was added to each bill. You go to a restaurant for the food; you come back for the service. We won’t be back.
The winter tasting menu was one of those meals we looked forward to, and there were no disappointments. I was skeptical before the red cabbage and shallot soup arrived, and of course my worry was completely needless. It was absolutely delicious. The rest of the courses were equally grand. But the dolci, chocolate coated golden cake continues to haunt me. It may have been the best sweet thing I have ever had.
They were very hung up on protocol on what and how we should order. They were a bit inflexible. We wanted to visit with old friends and share food together and that seemed to almost break rules. They were not very busy so it seemed we should have been better taken care of. The wine list was hugely (ridiculously) expensive.
Very few dining experiences do I find myself reflecting on the food, the tastes, the atmosphere. Veneto was such an experience. I ordered the cod. Admittedly, most cod I have had is at least slightly over cooked. This was so tender, moist, light. A butter dipping sauce elevated it that much more. Coupled with an excellent white wine choice by the sommelier, it was wonderful.
Authentic food, quiet setting, great service - an unexpected gem!
This little gem made our New Year’s Eve/ anniversary wonderful. Polite, attentive, and professional service paired with delicious food and wine... I can’t recommend it enough.
The lovely owner gifted us homemade cookies to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you Veneto team!
We partook of the New Years Eve fish dinner and wine pairing; this was our second year doing so. Warmly welcomed by our gracious and elegant hostess Amy, started the night off beautifully. Once again we were absolutely delighted. The remarkable selection of fish offered and Marco's preparation of each cannot be found outside of the Veneto. The wines were matched up perfectly with each dish. We greeted the new year in style and with great pleasure.
Real feel and real taste of Italy. Excellent food and amazing wine list. We did the tasting menu with wine pairing - it was great and the pairing were spot on. Not cheap, but, well worth it.
Excellent service (a level that isn't really common in Salt Lake). Excellent wine, delicious food. Lovely!
Veneto’s brilliance is not only in its amazing food and wine, but also its customer service. You feel like a part of the family as you dine there, making everyday dining feel like a special occasion. Truly the best restaurant in Salt Lake City !
This is really a wonderful place for dinner. The food is marvelous--traditional northern Italian (the owner is from Verona), carefully prepared with high-quality ingredients. All pasta is made in-house. Service is attentive but not annoying (this is a non-tipping restaurant!) We've eaten here twice and loved everything we've tried--the burrata and prosciutto appetizer and the tagliatelle bolognese are my favorite, with the semifreddo dessert. They offer a 7-course tasting menu but we haven't tried that yet.
I was a bit worried about this restaurant since my 18 years old daughter and my sister’s 12 years old daughter went there with us to have dinner before we went to see Ballet West. Amy and Marco the owners, took care of us. Marco and Roberto took the time to make us feel welcomed, listed to. Food was so delicious, the table was set in a nice and cozy corner! The ambiance is lovely! I will highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is a foodie!
It was by far one of the best meals we have ever had!! Everything was outstanding from the ambiance to the cookies I was given to take home. You MUST go!
Had a fabulous evening. Outstanding food, wine and service. Will be back often.
Menu relatively limited. Pasta dishes were lukewarm.
VENETO is a wonderful small restaurant. I had been there before with a group and was perhaps too preoccupied to really notice the exceptional quality of the food and service. It's a perfect place for a couple on a date night. We had a steak and a pasta dish as well as their peppers in olive oil and a desert. All were excellent. Their wine list is amazing and the knowledge of the wines by Marco (owner and sommelier) was more than helpful. The wines have the usual markup which can be considerable for more expensive bottles but the restaurant has a "no tipping" policy which should make you feel good about buying a special bottle of Italian wine. My congratulations to both Marco and Amy for bringing their food and wine to Utah.
This restaurant is for anyone who wishes to enjoy delicious Italian cuisine in an intimate setting. We had a lovely evening at here.
Best wine service I have experienced in many years. Tremendous food!
A truly authentic Italian dining experience. Grazie!
Still the best restaurant in SLC by far!
Having read the many reviews and accolades we had high hopes for an amazing meal at Veneto. We have been to Northern Italy and were excited for this authentic experience. We enjoyed the "mostly" outstanding food and the ambiance, however the service experience was poor. We went with the ala carte menu and not the full tasting menu. My prosciutto appetizer and orechiette bean pasta main was excellent. My husband enjoyed his terrific bigolo pasta dish, however he was disappointed by his "bland" tartar appetizer. We asked to share the ricotta radicchio salad as appetizer, and ended up with two huge portions that were overwhelming prior to our main dishes. Fortunately our dessert of pana cotta tasted light yet creamy, which helped us end with a great taste in our mouth. However, overall we were disappointed by the communication at Veneto. Prior to ordering the waiter played up that the dishes are smaller than other restaurants (yes compared to Bucca Di Beppo, but not to a Grappa in PC) , which lead us to order more food than needed for us. When our main arrived, we wished we had more room left. In addition, he was unfamiliar with the wine menu and tried to convince us a Rosso is a white wine. He also didn't place them in the appropriate place on the table, leading to confusion who order what and also mixed up our main dishes. When we requested our check, we learned that the service is already included, we wish we had known this up front as we would have considered ordering differently. Then the check arrived and we learned that we had been charged for two salads instead of one, which explains the enormous size. Overall, I think the food is great, but the customer experience would improve with better communication, conventions and attention to detail on part of the service team.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a romantic evening. The food and wine are so good! The waiter was so awesome. The owner spent time at our table too- telling us about each dish. We tried the 7 course meal. What a wonderful experience! All of it.
This is hands down the best Italian restaurant outside of the NYC metro area. I know it's super weird that its in SLC, but it is as good as I am saying.
It's just phenomenal. I can't rave enough. If you want the best Italian food you've ever had, this is the selection.
One thing: this is NOT the Italian as many Americans think. This is food ONLY from the Veneto region in Italy (where Venice is). It is NOT the tomato sauce based food that most Americans call Italian (that food is also Italian, its just a different region).
Don't come expecting Chicken Parm or Lasagna or pizza. Thats not Veneto food.
The staff is so warm and lovely.
Still my favorite restaurant in SLC!
Amazing food and service. We did the 7 course chef's tasting menu and it was fantastic. Small venue creates an exceptional experience. Don't be in a rush and plan on spending some $ and you'll have a great experience.
Veneto continues to maintain a consistently high standard with regard to food wine and service . Altogether a great restaurant.
Went for our anniversary and we were not disappointed. Very limited seating but nice ambiance. The servers were very attentive and friendly. We lived in Northern Italy and have been searching for a place with good Italian food. Found it! We had a five course meal and the timing of the dishes being delivered to our table was on point with restaurants in Italy. We had ample time to eat, digest a but and relax before the next course was brought to us. Perfect. Note: this is NOT American style of eat and get out. The meal took about two and half hours, which is what we were looking for but not for those in a rush. The wine selection is good and delicious. Next time we will do the wine pairing and Uber home. So sit back, relax and enjoy your experience. Looking forward to our next visit.
Service was great and the food was spectacular! I experienced their seven course Autumn tasting menu over a luxurious and non-hurried two hour dinner. I highly recommend the experience.
We love to visit Veneto! Always a wonderful experience. Missed seeing Marco and Amy on this occasion. Fall menu is also very enjoyable and can't wait for the truffles!
For this dinner we ordered the autumn tasting menu. I am a cynic when I have not tried certain foods, but every item on the menu was such a taste treat. I should not be surprised because it always is at the Veneto. The starter of crispy fried sage leaves was amazing. The prosciutto tasting and soup were delicious. The tortelloni may have been the best pasta I've ever had. Or maybe it was the summer menu pasta, or the one from spring. No it was this one. The pheasant, something a little hard to find on menus, was such a special dish. The wine pairings were perfect! We cannot wait for our next journey to Veneto.
We sat on the back patio and it was lovely. The food was delicious! I had gnocchi and would highly recommend it. Our waiter was excellent, very insightful about the menu and sensed the right time to bring out our courses, while allowing us conversation time. Thanks Veneto, well done!
Beautiful restaurant, and amazing food.
The wine list is spectacular.
We came to enjoy the last of the current tasting menu that included some of our favorites including the scallop carpaccio served four ways, vitello tonnato and the orata. The wine pairings were spectacular with every dish. What a scrumptious way to end summer at Veneto.
Great food and exceptional wine list and service. One of our favorites in SLC!
We virtually never eat al fresco, but this evening it seemed the right thing to do. No regrets. The patio in the rear was so quiet and the weather so cooperative. I'm certain the experience will be repeated.
She started with the Insalata di Ricotta Casereccia (she won't stop talking about it), I the Vitello Tonnato, perhaps the best antipasti ever! I then had the Gnocchi Sbatui di Malga while she watched and stole a few bites, because I could not stop salivating. She had the Octopus, and I ate the Branzino. Both magnificent. Then she had the Panna Cotta al Cappuccino (wow) and I had the most magnificent Tiramisù that I've ever had. A lovely bottle of white from Friuli Venezia Giulia that Marco suggested was a perfect pairing for the whole meal. Next time its the tasting menu for both!
First time at Veneto, but we will go back. Great food, good wine list, great service, enjoyed the quiet back patio. In particular, enjoyed the smoky gnocchi and the caprese spaghetti.
Great authentic Italian food and great service, best place in town
Elegant restaurant with excellent food and service. Enjoyed the no tipping policy.
The food was AMAZING. Service was great. Wine list is extensive. Worst part is I don't live in Salt Lake and can't go back more often!
