   My friends and I had a lovely breakfast and enjoyed lingering over coffee, never feeling rushed. My only, minor, complaint was that my poached egg was a little too hard.

   Food servings were smallish and tasteless. No dressing on the 2 shrimps that came on a dry bun. Pasta was cold and congealed. Servers never asked how things were, I guess they didn't want to know. Had to go get my own salt and pepper. Annoying screechy guitar music in the background was unsuitable for dinner. Definitely did not live up to Teatro’s standards and we will not be going back. Very disappointing because we have had good breakfasts there in the past, but that was a few years ago.

   Had lunch here and the food was terrible. Can’t believe I paid $19 for the tiniest piece of poorly seasoned chicken parmesan on a bun with no flavour and some fries at the side. I was shocked as I’ve eaten at Vendome before but this was super disappointing. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t return.

   One of the few restaurants that will take reservations even for a party of 2. The service is unhurried but attentive. Relaxing atmosphere. The food overall is very good. The music was a bit loud and server graciously lowered the volume. This is one of my most favourite spots for a pleasant time out. The decor is lovely and I enjoy being in a well-loved former house. It reminds me a bit of some restaurants in my home town of Montreal. Coffee and desserts also wonderful.

   We enjoyed the Vendome. Location was good and easy to find parking. It’s was a beautiful sunny day, so the patio was busy. Our server was efficient, friendly and helpful. The downside of our visit was the food. The salads my friend & I ordered sounded great in the menu but upon their arrival, we were very disappointed. The butter lettuce was fresh was that’s about all that was included. There were a couple little pieces of cucumber, tomato with some feta cheese. It wasn’t very good value for the price charged.

   Great dinner and our server was awesome! I was sad that they don’t have the baklava cheesecake anymore though. I love it and wanted my family to try it. The tiramisu was yummy but the baklava cheesecake was a unique pleasure. Really impressed with the non alcoholic cocktails -the matcha cocktail is delicious.

   We've been avid supporters of Vendome since it came into being. We love the servers and the ambience. However, in the past eight months or so we've noticed several changes in the menu and find that old favourites have disappeared and been replaced with less interesting dishes. Very disappointing as we've brought several people to the restaurant in the past and they've struggled to find appealing dishes. We've also noticed a decline in the number of diners which suggests that we are not alone in our assessment of the food. We're sad to say that we won't be returning until there's a significant change in menu including gluten free options. Jim and Linda

    The food was passable and our server was nice but the one lady at the front was quite rude and condescending which totally ruined the whole experience. I did not mind the price although it was on the higher end and the ambience in the place was nice at first but after our experience with the one lady there, one word comes to mind...     Vendome is always good! The only difficulty was that what we both ordered from the menu had, I guess, run out at 1PM! Our waiter was very pleasant but will need to get a bit smoother at serving! All in all, I'll certainly be back!

    We asked for avocado on my mom's brisket but although were charged for it it never arrived. Staff was great dealing with my >90 year old parents. I applaud them for their patience and kindness.

    Nice space, average meal, nothing over the top in terms of flavour. I’ve been there a few times for brunch and found it tastier/more interesting dishes. I had the chicken sandwich and roasted pepper soup. Sandwich was good, the soup was very tasty. Was a convenient location to eat before attending a show at the jubilee.

    Went for the Thief cocktail pop up, St Patrick's Day edition. Greentini wasn't anything to rave about, but the Matcha Mai Tai was delicious! Tropical and refreshing. For food, we ordered the pesto grilled cheese and arancini. The slab of cheese in the sandwich was too thick (not fully melted) to be appetizing. More thinly sliced would allow better melting and proper ratio of cheese to crispy bread. Arancini were tasty but a rather unappetizing pink colour inside? Our server was pleasant but the best service came from the lady behind the bar who mixed our drinks and was attentive and engaging. A mediocre experience.

    great portions, lovely server; we miss the "breakfast" portion of the menu... would prefer that at 12:30pm than the dinner options like lamb shank...which I LOVE...but not at lunch. please bring back some breakfast/egg options.

    Wonderful service, delicious wine, and love the decor. The smaller rooms make it cozy and private . Mussels were good but I’ll probably try something else next time. The baklava cheesecake was so yummy. Might be my #1 all time favorite dessert!

    Vendome used to be one of my “go to” restaurants. I tried the new menu 2 weeks ago and it was ok. Tried it again yesterday and wouldn’t go back. The menu isn’t as appealing as the old one was. While I can eat a full lettuce Caesar salad, a broccoli Caesar salad is too heavy. Chicken sandwich was alright but wasn’t expecting it deep fried. Bring back the old menu! Also miss the longer day breakfast menu.

    I was disappointed in the new menu. The old menu had a better selection and more interesting fare. My broccoli Caesar salad was ok but it just felt like I was eating a bowl of broccoli. Good thing I ordered roast chicken on it,

    Lovely experience at Vendome. Service was slow at the start. Took awhile for us to order and had to come back to confirm everyone’s order, but very kind individual. Food was clean, well presented and tasty. I did order a dish with poached eggs and they did not ask how I would like my eggs done which was unexpected. Restaurant is open, comfortable and I’ll definitely be back to try other brunch/lunch items. Lovely spot in Kensington and would be cute spot for any date.
