   This restaurant no longer exists. We realized when we got to the address that it is now permanently closed and a different bar/restaurant has opened in its place.

   I was really excited to try the new Velleggia’s at Cross Street Market. I made a reservation for 7pm on a Saturday night and I arrived to a dark, empty, closed restaurant. There was no sign indicating any closure and no one answered the phone when I tried calling. Nothing. Another couple was also there and equally confused and disappointed. If the restaurant needed to close for any reason, they should communicate it to people who booked tables and/or put up a sign to indicate the closure. We went to Cinghiale instead and had an amazing meal there - 5 stars for food wine and service at Cinghiale, they never disappoint. Zero stars to Velleggia’s, no need to waste your time.

   Food was delicious. Not many people in there and i think thats because its attached to Cross Street Market. Most are walking through looking for quick bites but the dishes here are awesome and the drinks were delicious. Penne Al Vodka was incredible. So was the purple colored pasta dish.

   The restaurant was out of many of the dishes on the menu. The food wasn’t very good. The lobster was over cooked and the pasta wasn’t cooked well. The service was pleasant. The sauce was over seasoned. Overall, very disappointing.
