Great space and overall aesthetic vibe, but the food and drinks, while not bad at all, were underwhelming. Especially at the price position. Service was inexplicably slow, totally pleasant but still slow. Overall Vaux is probably fine if you’re staying in the hotel and want some drinks and bar snacks but for dinner... not sure I’d recommend.
Service was unbelievably terrible! Slow & food for are party of five came out at all different times. One person in our party did not get his order so we had to ask a fifth time! Eventually popcorn was brought out to snack on. So disappointed!
This was really disappointing. It took over an hour and a half to get our food. The server would just tell us sorry. Server never came back to the table to fill the water glasses. When we finally got the food it tasted good, but server never came to check on us. I had to find their server and ask for salt. Told us she was sorry things were messed up. Never offered to do anything about. I talked to the manager and he just said sorry. It was a special occasion for my wife. I was just really bummed about it.
I really enjoy Vaux- good food, reasonable sized servings, quiet and lovely atmosphere.
Christmas dinner here was horrible. Service was poor, food took forever and was not very good. Chicken was underdone and spatzel with spare ribs was overdone. They couldn’t make anything for our kids, even simple fruits or vegetables, or grilled cheese. Terrible experience.
Not the best choice for our Birthday/Christmas Day lunch. Service was slow, as they seemed understaffed. We waited over an hour for our food, which in the end gave us lots of time to talk. But when it arrived 3 of the 4 dishes weren't piping hot. The food was healthy and creative, and tasty but with the delay and lack of heat (food wise) it was less than stellar. In any case, I think we'll go somewhere else next year.

We had hopes to find a new go-to restaurant with our clients but not the case.
Food was fantastic. We basically had the restaurant to ourselves so it was very nice and private. Drinks took a little long but well worth the wait. Extremely well made. Charcuterie board actually had charcuterie and cheese, so we weren’t left to choose one or the other like at other restaurants. However, could have used more bread to go with it for how much cheese was on the board. The gnocchi was THE BEST thing we had. An absolutely inventive dish that was American meets Italian meets French cuisine. A must have if you find yourself at Vaux
The fare here is excellent. It would be difficult to find something that wasn’t great. There’s not a traditional desk for a host, you find a table and seat yourself. It’s a very casual but upscale environment.
Our party of three was provided three different menus with minor variations on the appetizers, desserts, and drinks.
The restaurant is integrated into hotel. Feels more like hotel bar than a restaurant. Was very airy and open.
