Vaughan’s on the Prom
Join us at Vaughan’s on The Prom for memorable food in the most memorable of locations. Overlooking beautiful Liscannor Bay in Lahinch, we specialise in seafood and the freshest seasonal and local produce.

Bringing honest Irish food to Lahinch’s seafront, we cook over charcoal on a Josper Basque Grill, with our chefs making everything from scratch. Our modern menu features the tastiest Irish seafood, including lobster, langoustines, fish and chips and steak.

Best Sticky Togfee pudding on the isle (so far) that we have had. Both fish dishes were very good. The fish & chips was good but not as good as The Brazen Head in Dublin. Service was attentive and overlooking the water was special.

This was chipper food, served on paper, at restaurant prices. The chips were of poor quality and cold. The "real scampi" wasn't. It was frozen surimi, at best. One of the starters was truly tiny: three very small scallops and a piece of pork crackling measuring 1cm x 3cm. The staff were pleasant people, but were distracted. I suspect they trade on the association with their good restaurant in Liscannor, but the Lahinch restaurant is merely a sit-down chip shop. Shameful.

Outstanding location (right on the promenade!), excellent menu and food, delightful presentation, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff. The seafood selection was grand!

Overall we were very disappointed with our visit. The restaurant was very busy & the terrace was being used as a bar so there was a lot of traffic at the bar also. The mouse level was horrendous we had intended having a leisurely dinner with a bottle of wine but it quickly became apparent that was not going to happen, with the guys working at the bar throwing empty glass bottles into containers the racket was terrible. We only had a main course & it was disappointing with overcooked chips a takeaway woukd have been better. We left after main course

We had a wonderful meal here, fantastic restaurant for seafood,served in a lovely atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and professional. Great sea views, definitely worth a visit.
