Fabulous! Everything was great: ambiance, food and service.
Service was slow on Thanksgiving, even though there were plenty of staff. There was a large family group with uncontrolled noisy children who should have been placed in the corner of a room, rather than directly in the center.
Vaucluse is our idea of perfection. A beautiful room, delicious food, elegant service. Some favorites are the quiche, escargots, white label hamburger, lobster club, the bread (we bought a loaf to bring home), épaulettes...Thanks! We return again and again.
I was there recently and loved the grilled bronzini (loup de mer) , salad and leeks appetizer. Great chocolate dessert.
Started out great per usual. Enjoyed a cocktail at the bar, spectacular. They gave me a choice of seating before I grabbed the wife for our dinner seating. This place oozes style and grace. Not a full house on this Friday night. The issues were only two. . Important ones though. Lukewarm food. Staff bunched together seemingly oblivious to us and our issues. Lukewarm food through the courses to the point I thought I missed the memo there was some new fad, better digestion at cooler temps.....not.
This was the first misstep we ever heard of or lived through here. Things happen. We will return at some point but slightly jaded. The blind lust is gone.
Working to say something new about Vaucluse. Here goes/ The delicious hanger steak was smaller than last visit and the oddly named chimichurri(neither green nor red) a totally lackluster accompaniment. A Cote du Rhone Village was terrific, though the price per glass($19) with tax and tip is what I pay for 1 3/4 bottles. Guess they have to make up for the reasonable lunch somewhere.
Top of the line food, decor, and service. It’s a wonderful restaurant.
We enjoyed our delicious meal. Our waitress was fantastic.
One of my faves. Great food, service 3 courses, many options, all delicious.
Third time in a month - continues to be fabulous! Probably the best prix fixe lunch in all of NY.
Absolutely wonderful in every way..
Comfortable atmosphere, excellent cuisine and service...
We didn’t want to leave and will definitely return..
Beautiful upscale restaurant with truly great food.
Vaucluse is perfect. Delicious food, beautiful, elegant space, and seamless service. Waitstaff gives excellent menu suggestions, which are much appreciated. We smile throughout every meal.
Excellent food and service
Delicious and elegant. What more can you ask for.
Best service, excellent food choices, and price point can't be beat in all of NYC. Wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend it.
All I've previously said holds and then some. Hanger steak was best I've ever eaten. All present were equally happy with their food. Service, though very pleasant is for long stretches invisible, despite managers roaming the room and asking if you are satisfied. Though none are in a rush, 20 minutes before entree arrives is a bit long and the same time for a finished entree to be removed. Still lament the absence of a glass of wine with some relation to the price of the meal. Oh well; guess the restaurant has to get equity somehow, but i sorely miss my wine accompaniment. Won't deter return however.
Excellent service, omars..haime,nick were fabulous
your new lunch menu is certainly the most amazing thing going on in town!
not only is the price - a mere $28 - a bargain, but you receive the same wonderful food, ambience and service that is offered at your fine dinner!
elegant, without being stuffy - imaginative food - and serving people who pride themselves on offering the finest service!
count me in for becoming a luncheon regular -
My husband & I went to Vaucluse for our 26th anniversary. We had never been there before, and read good things about it. We were not disappointed! The location, ambiance, and service were perfect. We sat in the West room, which is traditional French. The 4-course prix fixe was excellent. I had the seared crab cake, lobster pasta, halibut entree, and blueberry compote. My husband had the Spanish octopus, pork pasta, salmon main, and apple dessert. It was all delicious! We were very impressed with the whole experience, and would definitely recommend Vaucluse for special occasions.
Delightful simple lunch. Excellent value with good selections and good service. We enjoyed it.
This was the BEST prix fixed lunch in all of NYC. I would defiantly go again. Food Excellent, Service Excellent, I loved it. dawn I
my little dog coco felt at home.
We love Vaucluse! Service, quality and quantity of food, environment, everything. The lunch special is fantastic. Can’t wait to return. Thanks to all at wonderful Vaucluse.
Always phenomenal. They brought back lunch and at $28, enjoy it now it won’t last at that price, nor should it; started with escargot which was superb; bread fantastic as always. Whole sea bream was delicious. Finished with chocolate encased tiramisu type dessert. Fantastic start to finish with great service as always.
Went for lunch. Were pleasantly surprised to see their new "prix fixe lunch menu". Very nice selection of Appetizers, Main dishes and Sweets. Very Happy. Service as always impeccable. Bravo
Vaucluse is the best and the most sophisticated Reston the Upper East Side. Such a pleasure to have dinner there — every single time.
Excellent everything. Went for the express lunch for $28 with three friends. Food, service, everything was perfect. We were all quite happy!!
A truly exceptional restaurant. Not inexpensive, but a treat for special occasions.
We enjoyed dinner very much. We ordered the 4 course menu and it was well worth it. The portions were large to satisfy a hungry person. Food was very good, pasta outstanding. It was a pleasure to be able to have a conversation. Very nice room , great atmosphere. This might be our favorite restaurant.
A fan of Vaucluse since its opening and long, long before not only inits prior tenants but as a visitor to the Beekman, owned by my uncle. Addition of a terrific prix fixe at lunch makes it even more special. Choice of 19 entrees, almost as many starters and 3 deserts, with only 1 supplement. All are made from fine ingredients, expertly prepared and very handsomely plated. Tempted to return and eat through the menu. Only minor knocks: with success room has become extremely noisy, olive bread, the best in NY as well as being by a longshot the very most expensive , that must be ordered 2 days in advance and picked up at Vaucluse. Wonder how many, if any they sell? The fine baguette served should be warmed and the sparsely named wines by the glass all cost over half the price of the meal. Service was pleasant but extremely slow; probably the kitchen backed up by the crowds. Still, we'll be back.
Food was good but not outstanding. Service level very good. Menu selections were interesting and prices were fair. Overall it was very pleasant evening. Duck was served a bit too raw.
I’ve been here many times, but only for dinner.
This last visit was for lunch, which they only just started last week.
Everything was superb and the value for the 3-course meal is incredible.
Great service and the setting is delightful. Plenty of daylight; doesn’t seem fussy or stuffy at all.
Also, although it may be lunchtime, it’s best not to dress like you’re at a clam shack on City Island...
Everything was Exceptional
@vauclusenyc team #foh #boh & head #chef thank you so much for #culinary excellence last night. People always ask me what’s my favorite restaurant in #nyc I must say this & #daniel are pretty much taking that slot as you guys had everything that includes that nod, interior restaurant design, on point staff, lighting, and the food was just superb🙏🏼 also #pastrychef 🚀 bartender love the spicy margaritas, guys it was not easy saying no to the fourth:) Who ever is running this ship is doing a great job and Chef the lamb chops, salmon, crab salad and dessert was sick and not in a bad way:) thanks and keep it up I will be going more often. Will recommend!!!! Dam those escargot🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
This restaurant was a symphony of atmosphere, food and service. The bar was very chic, edgy with a downtown feel. The price fix four course menu was phenomenal. I had crab salad with the light citrus vinaigrette followed by a rabbit pasta dish that was rich, Savery and absolutely delicious. My final course was baked salmon that was fresh, Moist and beautifully prepared with a side beet dish. A Cream Brulé desert rounded out an epic meal with artistic presentation and timing
Nice place got to come back again. Friendly staff. Love that escargot
I continue to think this is the best four-course deal in the city for only $95. Each course is plentiful, delicious, and beautifully presented. The food is truly exceptional with seasonal ingredients and layers of flavors and textures. The wine list is extensive and the somm worked closely to accommodate our diverse tastes and food orders, all while giving us choices and an education. The only downside was the inattentive service. Given that it was August and we were dining at 9pm, there weren't many tables occupied and I think that created lazy service since there wasn't the buzz, rush and demands of a full restaurant. We had to flag down assistance more than once and when it was time to leave the restaurant, we just walked out the door without a single employee to send us on our way. Regardless, we'll be back!
It’s an incredible ambience. Sophisticated but not stuffy. I enjoyed the food. I would never have thought the space was so big right on Park Avenue. Really loved our experience
