Vast Ratings and Reviews
The food, view, and ambiance is always exquisite.
This visit however was different than our previous visits.
People kept coming to where were seated and hovering looking at the and taking pictures.
Latee during this visit there was a commotion going on, on the floor above where we were seated.
People were yelling, screaming, and arguing.
At first I thought it was something serious but it sounded like people had been drinking too much and had a fight and they were trying to break it up.
It definitely was a mood killer for the second half of our visit.
This is not my first time dining at The Vast, but it far exceeded my previous experience.
We had a friendly and helpful waiter who gave us a nice recommendation for wine. When it was time for food we decided to go straight to a main course meal. What we had was amazing and my mouth still waters at the thought of it.
I would recommend dining a little bit later in the day, being able to see the city at night is beautiful.
My only complaint, is the wine we had been recommended. It was listed at $125, while when I currently look for it I find it for nearly half the price.
The food was decent, though not worth the price. (Try Charleston’s, Packards or Signature Grill for better food.) Our server did not time out our courses very well and spent most of his time schmoozing another table rather than paying adequate attention to us. They charged our credit card too little and called after we left to let us know that they would be charging us for more even though we already signed the credit card receipt. They had the audacity to ask if we wanted to then tip more since they charged us the wrong amount the first time. We won’t be going back.
This was my 3rd experience at Vast. We were seated in our best location yet with the best view of the city that the tower has to offer. The service was superb with a friendly and helpful staff. My one disappoint this time would have to be the meats, specifically the chimichurri lamb. The lamb itself was very fatty with not as much flavor as was expected.
On a side note the curry was phenomenal as well as the usually great salad bar and soup options.
I also for the honey, blue cheese, cream cheese dip to be delightful.
I was enjoying the evening up until I started haveing an allergic reaction to my food. My server didn’t tell me what I was ordering and the menu is not descriptive. Other than having to take a whole bottle of Benadryl. It was great, not sure if I will be back.
Most everything was good. Great ambience! I asked for my steak to be cooked medium well , but got more of a medium rare. Our waiter disappeared for about 30 minutes. My wife order a piece of cake and it took about 20 minutes to get that. Other than those issues, it was a very good experience. Nice view of city.
We celebrated my son's 21st birthday at Vast. Our waiter, Tio, was excellent. Food was fresh and wonderfully prepared and presented. The wine was perfect. The chef modified dishes as needed due to my food allergies. We wanted a memorable evening for this milestone birthday, and Vast definitely delivered!
Last night was my wife’s birthday, so we decided to celebrate at Vast . It was an unforgettable experience, we had Tio as our server , he was very knowledgeable about the entire menu . He knew everything , it was amazing to be able to enjoy each other. The Food ... one word :astonishing. BEST MEAL IN OKC . It’s definitely worth every penny from the atmosphere, to service to fine dining. We will be back .
They pride themselves on steak but they used way too much salt on both our steaks. One filet and one strip, both salted way beyond the flavour of the meat itself. Vast is overpriced, far over, for the bad quality they serve. If you must go, go to the bar and eat elsewhere.
I book Vast frequently for business meals and the staff has always been accommodating of my requests and edits to the reservation prior to the meal. The feedback I've received from participants in the meal has been to please request a "full table", the booth can be cumbersome when getting in and out when not all participants are getting up/out.
The first course meat platter and cheese platter were definitely not very impressive nor was it very appetizing. On the other hand the group I was with had the aged ribeye, bone in ribeye and lobster for 2, and the scallops. I will say all of the main course meals were exceptional, and the aged steaks were the best I’ve ever had. The service and atmosphere is spot on. I will be back for another steak!
We came here on Saturday to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We really enjoyed our evening. Bar selection was great, food was good, ambience was amazing. We would like to go back more often. We ran into one problem while we we there though. We were presented by our waiter that their was a date night special that ran for $100. My wife and I made a conscious decision that this $100 would fit in our budget with a few drinks to have a great date night. When the waiter returned to our table to take our order we asked him directly if the date night special was an even $100. He continued to tell us it was. We finished dinner and we then were presented with our bill. We were expecting our bill to be around $120 and we would leave a tip to be around $150 including tip. When we saw the bill we were charged twice for the date night special at $100 per person, making our bill $230. Adding a 20% tip that made the bill close to $300. There had to be a mistake, or at least it was a very misleading attempt to make a higher tip percentage. For this reason I will not be recommending this place and my wife and I will not return.
