Best view in Oklahoma City. The lunch menu is a buffet with great choices of meats, veggies, salads, and varied and tasty dessert selections. Service was excellent.
Lunch is $19.99 a person. Food is flavorful and cooked right. Staff is friendly and prompt. Waitress was knowledgeable about wine selections and helpful. Overall great experience.
Great place for an anniversary!
Vast is a special occasion restaurant for us, this time for wedding anniversary celebration. The entree options are creative and beautifully presented. The service is attentive and professional. The view on a clear night is absolutely exquisite.
On this visit my wife enjoyed a beef fillet—absolutely delicious. I enjoyed a pistachio crusted tuna steak and I should have taken a picture of it. Tasted wonderful and looked just as good.
We highly recommend Vast!
Great dinner! Eric was a wonderful waiter!!
Took our daughter for a daddy daughter date spring break weekend & followed with a show at the Civic Center. Enjoyed the experience & view, along with the service! Menu is limited for a young girl who prefers chicken nuggets or mac & cheese, But they did alter her chicken selection to meet the picky needs. Service was awesome!
It was our 1st anniversary and it couldn’t have went better! Loved the entire experience!
Staff was 5 star as well as food selection and quality, best up-scale dining experience we have had in OKC ever.
the restaurant was alright, nice view. took about 8mins to even put in a drink order. plus our waitress was never at our table. Never could find her, never could get a drink refill. she would check on the table next to us but out of the hour and half we were there we got checked on maybe 3 times. other then that it was a nice place. just wish it was better service since it was a expensive restaurant and a special event.
We were under a cold air vent away from the windows. A man came and moved us to a different room to a window table. The room was warm and we really appreciated the thoughtfulness. The ambiance of this restaurant is wonderful.
My 3rd time in town on business and my 3rd trip to Vast. Gracious and excellent service, and fabulous food, not to mention the view. I selected the chef's tasting menu this time and it was delicious and wonderfully presented. Yes, it's pricey but it's very memorable!
My wife and I were in town visiting from Philly. What an outstanding restaurant. Our server, Benton, was magnificent. The food was excellent. Vast is a romantic restaurant with a great atmosphere. Highly recommend it!!
Excellent service and lunch! Everyone enjoyed it very much!
Our waiter, Teo from Bulgaria was wonderful. We had guests from out of town that really appreciated everything Vast had to offer. We will be back.
Birthday celebration. Salmon was a little fishy. Steak, Brussels sprouts, potatoes, salads and drinks were excellent! The dessert was okay, but not earth shattering when compared to other fine dining establishments locally.
Stephanie was very professional and very knowledgeable. Great place.
My family had walked by this building every day during our son's honor choir experience. Our 12 year old kept saying that he wished he could go up in it. The last night of our stay, my husband and 16 year old son decided to go to the NBA game. The other two of us didn't care to go. So, I scrambled trying to think of something the 12 year old would enjoy and found I could get us a reservation at VAST. We enjoyed every second of this experience. He loved that the waiter addressed him as "sir" and treated him like the little adult he was behaving as. It was a special evening well worth the cost. Our server was happy to snap photos of us and other couples around us were friendly, as well. I highly recommend it and will go back if we are in the area again.
Service, as always, was outstanding and the food was phenomenal.
Our first time dining at Vast was a wonderful experience. The staff made sure that everything satisfied our needs, and we felt like VIP's! The view is spectacular, literally giving OKC a new perspective. We started with a bottle of wine and a cocktail, appetizers, entrees, and dessert! We appreciated how everything was explained to us, without taking up too much time. We looked forward to receiving every course. One person in our group got a 5 course meal, and everything was brought out in a timely manner, we didn't even realize he was eating more than the rest of us. Of course, we all had a bite. We were all pleasantly surprised by the size of the portions. Honestly, when we first walked in, we thought this place might be too fancy for us, but everyone made us feel very comfortable right away. It was an excellent evening and we look forward to visiting again.
A little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for, I paid the $375.00 plus tip with a smile
Our reservation was perfect, each of our on line requests was perfectly executed. We were caught in traffic, I called to let the hostess know we might be a few minutes late, she was gracious and said she would take care of it, when we arrived our perfect table was ready, no questions asked.
Let's talk about our waiter, Shawn/Sean (don't know which spelling). We have traveled the world eating our way thru some absolutely magnificent restaurants and Shawn was right up there with the best of the best waiters. Great personality, even when dealing with my spunky 88 year old mother. He was knowledgeable about the wine menu, presented the days special and shared special points about the menu. We took his suggestions and had an amazing meal.
The view at Vast is breathtaking. OKC has developed into a beautiful, interesting view from above and Vast takes full advantage.
Our food was fabulous, steaks, lobster tails, scallops, veggies, potato purses….and divine reduction. All perfect!
I must mention the wine list. We did start with cocktails and moved on to a lovely "Hedges" red. Two (2) bottles later we were in culinary heaven.
The only issue we had was the long walk from the Valet to the Vast Elevators. We were good with it but when you are with an 88 year old you need to plan ahead for a little trek.
Thanks Vast for making our evening memorable.
We enjoyed our 20th Anniversary here. It was a great experience.
Was another MOSTAWESOME time very relaxing loved every aspect of the whole experience is gonna be my frequent place
Top notch service very good food and a wonderful view.
Excellent experience. I will most definitely come back. The view was amazing! And the food-Oooh la la!!! DELICIOUS
LOVE THE VAST
The service and the experience was amazing. We were treated very, very well, greeted promptly, and the view was spectacular. The restaurant was very, very cold so we shivered and shook for the 2.5 hours we were there. We found the prices to be higher than the quality of the meal, so I guess we mostly paid for the experience, service and ambiance. If we ever go back, we will all take jackets!
My second Vast dinner at convention in OKC. A busy night for them, and I had to take a 5:45 reservation for my solo meal, but enjoyed it. OKC vista a little drab before sundown, lots of construction and little natural scenery. Good waiter, Erick, attentive and knowledgable. Great celeriac cream soup with fennel and fennel oil, and then entree of scallops, perfectly cooked, maybe a little too spicy, but advertised as such on the menu. I was happy they offered some good half-bottle selections, which allows a solo diner to have more than a single glass without breaking the bank. Vast is a favorite of mine. It's difficult to criticize.
I mistakenly thought this was a steakhouse. We ordered 3 filets. One was ordered medium rare, one medium well and one well. The temperature was wrong on the medium rare (came out cold and raw in the middle). Medium well came out rare. This was for my 9 year old. It was sent back 2 times and was never cooked properly. My wife and I were both done eating and still were waiting for the 3rd attempt on the last filet. We ran out of time before our event. They did not seem to care very much and I will not be back.
Vast is now the best restaurant in Oklahoma City—and important exception to the rule about restaurants above second floor never being good. Good menu, with variety and interest. Good wine, (all wine is marked up 30% to 40% too high, like most restuarants in OKC. Caleb was an EXCELLENT waiter, even before he and one of my guests realized they had been neighbors years ago.
I had shitake-stuffed quail, and duck 2-ways, both excellent, with a Champagne I had never heard of, but very good (Herbart??), and a bottle of David Bruce pinot noir, also good.
Dessert was also very good. Oklahoma City is beautifully lighted at night, tho' NOT beautiful during the day—flat, too much construction in the area, and no hills or mountains in sight. Enjoyed it so much I returned the next night.
This was the perfect place to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday! Our waitress was fantastic and we were so glad that she enjoyed us enough to put down for us to have her again when we come back. We had such a great time and the food was AMAZING! We will be back for the wonderful steaks and perfect amaretto sours! Thank you all for the wonderful experience!
Nice view. Pleasant space.
We were there for more than an hour before we were offered anything to eat (not even offered bread).
Our waiter was very pleasant, friendly, and informative, but forgetful (maybe there was an event going on elsewhere in the restaurant. Our waiter was the only waiter in sight while we were there).
The wine was excellent, but for $100/bottle, of course, it should have been.
The bone marrow was quite good (But I would have liked a gluten free substitute for the sourdough toast accompaniment).
The Caesar salad was also enjoyed by a member of our party.
The entrees were acceptable, but not particularly special.
The dessert was quite awful. It was a featured item, so I was expecting something special. It was a cherry clafoutis (?spelling), described as a soufflé. It was tough, leathery, and tasteless. Not light like any dessert soufflé I have ever had before ( I have previously had some excellent ones elsewhere). There was also no real cherry flavor to it. When I complained the waiter did not even apologize or try to offer any substitute, although he was not unpleasant. I was quite disappointed, knowing that by reputation, at least, there is at least one dessert chef on staff there. Quite sad that there was no real attempt to salvage the last course. So we were left with a bad taste at the end.
For a $150 per person meal, quite unsatisfactory.
We will probably not return anytime soon.
Overpriced because you're paying for the view and not the food had a three-course steak dinner which included the 3 ounce steak a tamale and a salad best thing we were served was the tea and none of it was worth $60 plate
Overall a great experience.
The price was a bit high, but that was expected.
The background music was a bit annoying, and completely
not conducive to the environment. Perhaps some light piano jazz would have been more appropriate?
Would go back again though!
This was a great restaurant!! I am excited to go back asap!
Outstanding in all ways! Had been wanting to check Vast out for sometime. Now I can't wait to return.
My husband took me to Vast for our Anniversary and it was spectacular! The waiter was amazing and patient. He answered all of our questions and even offered suggestions. The dinner was well worth the price and the view didn't hurt. And we received a dessert with a sweet message. You all made our day very special and memorable!
We had a business lunch and arrived a little earlier than our reservation, but were seated immediately. The waiter, Zach, was there promptly and was very friendly, but could see we were having a business lunch, so he was attentive, but not chatty. We were there about half an hour past the end of lunch, with only another table or two still occupied, but Zach never tried to rush us or seem unhappy about us keeping his table longer than normal. The food was delicious - the pork and chicken were perfectly done and tender, the vegetables were nicely flavored with several varieties, nothing was overly salted, the dessert bar was wonderful, and of course the view was lovely. Don't be worried about making the trip or where to park. Parking is free. Just go the Devon garage on Harvey just south of Park and tell them you are going to the restaurant. Easy as gulping down a delicious chocolate mousse - or two:)
Great selection for lunch. The spread was full of both hearty and light options. Dessert was also very good. Great service. Definitely going to try Dinner soon.
3 hours from being seated to check. Steak tough very tough and neither cooked right. Not worrh it at all.
We were simply disappointed in our experience. Maybe just an off night for Vast. Had reservations for 8:15, for 2 only, and didn't leave the restaurant until 10:15. Waiter seemed distracted and not very interested in service or offering suggestions. This may have been an isolated incident as he seemed only to have our table for the night. We noticed several other servers with multiply tables and frequent visits. We ordered the Filet and Salmon, the Salmon was cooked to perfection. The Filet that was cooked to perfection at medium, but was at best warm and cold on the edges, the veggies that come with meal were cold and over sauced. We would have ordered multiply drinks to enjoy the outstanding view but the frequency of our servers was often.
Once our meal was complete and paid he must have realized our reservation was for our anniversary and he then offered us a dessert to take with us. Nice Offer and Thank you. The dessert was great later that evening.
