We came here for our anniversary and the waiter gave us a complimentary glass of Prosecco. We ordered the trio dip as an appetizer and got the hummus, tzatziki, and tirokafteri, a spicy feta dip and they were all wonderful. You can’t beat fresh pita bread and cucumber to go along with it either! I got a Greek chicken salad (since I knew the dips would fill me up) and my husband got a delicious bucatini bolognese! I loved the whole ambiance and the service was great. I’ll definitely be back again!
Excellent experience. Bethesda restaurant week was a great value. They also have a wonderful happy hour that I believe runs 7 days per week.
The best place in the Kentlands for any celebratory event, or just a spontaneous night out. Great on all counts.
We have yet to be disappointed with dishes. Admittedly choices are heavy with meat but otherwise still very well done. And the trio of dips is a great option.
Lovely ambiance. Attentive, knowledgeable server. Polite, interested manager. Reasonable noise level. Food expertly prepared with fresh
Ingredients. Food presentation attractive. Portion sizes appropriate for Mediterranean dishes. Drinks were very fine quality. Pacing of meal followed our lead. A lovely evening out.
Our first time dining at Vasili's was wonderful. Chris B. gave wonderful recommendations, but I don't think we could've gone wrong! We'll be back in the future!
The food was fantastic and the service was even better. I will be going back.
It's all delicious. Well-trained, courteous, articulate, mature staff. Great atmosphere with open air and music. Every bite is just delicious.
Great meal and drinks. Excellent service
Food was good and waiter Chris was wonderful!
Food and service was spot on. Enjoyed a quick meal with the family. They make a great Old Fashion. Ask to have it smoked!
Food is wonderful. It's a hidden gem of a place. We will definitely go there again.
I love the dependable service and great food and the creative menu- my favorite place
Awesome, healthy food, great service. Not cheap.
It was a Monday so the restaurant was not crowded, hence not noisy. Our waiter was very attentive and told us a great deal about the food selection. Both dishes were delicious, and my guest from Manhattan was very impressed. I live about 25 minutes away and it was well worth the drive.
Second time and we will be back!
Really really nice place
Food is good and service quite good. I wish they were more vegan friendly -very limited choices and the wine selections are limited and pricey.
Overall good service. Food is unique. A bit on oily side. I’ve been there twice, some dishes are pretty heavy in oil.
Great, creative, fresh food that is healthy, too. Like the small plates to share.
We always enjoy eating at Vasili's Kitchen. We ate on the patio with our dogs tonight. They brought water for the dogs. It was raining and they kept the patio covering closed until the rain let up. It was a very relaxing evening.
Brunch with my older parents. Everyone was patient and kind.
Drinks sat empty without refills or refill offers which would have been nice.
Great experience.. beautiful restaurant, great service and the food was incredible... can’t wait to go back!
The food was delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere was very nice. It felt like we were in DC or Bethesda when we were right in the neighborhood!!
Vasillis is hit or miss. The last time we went it was excellent. This time it was average. The lamb chops were medium (the way we ordered the)but too fatty and not crispy on the outside. Not a deal breaker. The sangria tasted like Hawaiian Punch. It was not as good as previous times. The octopus was excellent. The prices are too high. We paid $180 for two people and this is just too expensive for a dinner out in the Kentlands.
Vasilis is a great neighborhood restaurant. Consistently good food and service. They just updated the menu so we ordered several of the Meze plates like eggplant imam, the grilled octopus, meatballs, and a big Greek salad (the authentic version without lettuce). That plus a glass of wine made a filling dinner for two! The outdoor patio is awesome is good weather.
Outstanding outdoor patio. Great Service, love the food quality and the wine list
I would and probably should eat there every day. Extraordinary service, terrific menu, quick bar service in a stunning indoor and outdoor environment. Everything tasted delicious. Waiter was attentive and informed. Manager also greeted us. Bravo.
Always good food. The waiter kind of ignored us. It was busy and it was lunch. Yet, the service could have been a bit better.
The lunch food was ok, however not enough to determine full value. The price was low and probably accurate for the serving size, but I would rather pay a little more for an average amount (had hummus, previously portions were normal).
The facility is beautiful inside & out, and the staff very pleasant and attentive. Based on my past experience with Vasili’s at their previous location, I was disappointed in the food. Not as robust and quantity as stated very limited. The crowds were extremely loud for a Thursday afternoon, some sort of noise inhibitors would be helpful. Probably will not come back.
This place has a nice vibe and ok food but we thought it is a bit overpriced for Kentlands. The house chardonnay was $16/glass which is ridiculous!
The ambiance and service were great. The food so-so. The meat skewers were kind of dry and not flavorful. The moussaka was not good at all. The coleslaw isn't Greek it Miditerranian - why add it to everything?
Incredible Halibut special on May 31! Service was exceptional!
Visili's has a good perspective on Mediterranean cuisine and it's menu is quite approachable. Not lengthy nor minimal, just a nice assortment of Appetizers, Tapas and Entrees. We tried Dolmadakia, Grilled Octopus, Eggplant Spread, Mousakas and Grilled Branzino. Everything was fresh, well prepared and delicious. The accompaniments enhanced and complemented the dishes well.
The open, spacious, contemporary dining area includes a lovely bar with an artistic glass covered square dome. The adjacent outside seating area is also quite large and inviting.
They were out of a couple of thing we'd wanted to try but hopefully we can on our next visit.
While the initial hostess was a bit disappointing in terms of getting to a better table, requiring discussion with others, the food was surprisingly good. The trio of spreads was exceptional - eggplant, labneh and hummus - and the kabobs were excellent dishes. Very pleased with the discovery of this locale which has real charm and otherwise very good service.
Food is very good
Problem is that they run out of products (on a Saturday night)
We ordered a Greek appetizer and moussaka and they did not have any
We order expresso with milk and they ran out of milk.
Therefore I had to lower the rating.
we were excited to go here and the lack of flavor & taste as well as undercooked chicken will be a no for a revisit. Great server, atmosphere, just not the quality of food to back it.
Outstanding Greek food in a great atmosphere
Great service and food
Nice place / great food - we preferred getting lots of mezes
