Vasco & Piero's Pavilion Restaurant
Vasco was born in Umbria and as a result of this many foods are sourced direct from farmers in this region. Particular favourites are truffles, wild mushrooms, seasoned cheeses and cured meats such as lombetto and capocollo.
We only use the best quality extra virgin olive oil mainly from Umbria, Central Italy.
Many of our hams & salames such as Lombetto (a cured loin of pork) are imported from local Umbrian farms.
When in season, we import black & white truffles from hunters around the hills of Umbria.
Our balsamic vinegar is from Modena. We use Maldon sea salt with pure flaky crystals.
Good food and excellent service, portions for main meal small, so if you are hungry definitely have a starter as well! Food of a high quality and excellent choice of Italian wines.
Very nice restaurant with great service. Was very nice to go to a London restaurant where bread is complimentary. The Calves liver was divine, but I do think for £25 and just 1 slice of liver it should have come with more than just a small portion of cabbage. Had to order a side of sauté potatoes which was a very small portion. Felt wine was overpriced. Maybe could do with a little background music.
Overall very happy with the experience and would definitely recommend Vasco and Pieros to friends.
My friends and I had the best evening! The food is sublime! Each dish from the selection of starters, mains, dessert and cheese was delicious, and perfectly presented. Service was impeccable and they allowed us to stay all evening whilst we wined dined and chatted. I also had one of the best margarita cocktails I've ever had here. The ambience was lively and energetic and many customers looked to be more locals over tourists. Highly highly highly recommend!
Wonderful Umbrian food. Friendly staff. Specials change daily.
extremely good italian food with great staff and owner ensuring you leave satisfied and ready for a evening show!
We were kept waiting for our table for about 15 mins and then no one took our order for some while whilst other tables which had arrived after us already had their order taken. Having said that the food did then arrive quickly and was excellent quality. It was a nice buzzy atmosphere and we had a good evening overall.
Table troubles at start; sorted out in 15m. Not a disaster but unpolished.
Very friendly and helpful waiting staff.
Good carefully executed food: not to die for, but to live for.
Good wine list — not cheap but lower end was better than expected. Grechetto d’Umbria was new for me. The rosato was exceptional.
A bit cramped but judging by the number of customers who were instantly recognised by face, the Pavilion is still going extraordinarily strong. I went first in 1987, and it’s still good — and that is really saying something!
A small and lively restaurant with excellent food and good service.
I’m a regular, whenever my travels bring me to London, I try to find an evening to come to V&P’s.
Of course, no disappointment yet another time!
Really lovely food - super fresh ingredients, thoughtfully prepared with sublime flavours. Decent mix of all Italian wines. Attentive service too!
The food is always very good at Vasco and Piero's. The choices aren't crazily extensive but the options are varied and appealing. We've eaten there on a number of occasions and have always had a great meal and the service is friendly and helpful. This time we went for a pre-theatre meal and needed to be away by 7pm so the staff not only ensured we were served in time but also printed out a walking map for us to get to the theatre. Great food , service and location.
Absolutely unreal restaurant. Off the scale in fact. Glad we found it. You MUST try it!!!
We returned, having not been for a while, with friends. Simple food of great flavours beautifully done, friendly, unstuffy and prompt service, we really like it here and our friends loved it too. Thank you.
This was a wonderful, unpretentious dining experience for three friends - one of whom is an Italian cuisine snob who couldn’t stop raving over his dishes.
The restauranteur and staff were all delightful and helpful.
Second visit to your restaurant and our experience was as good, if not better than the first.
Great evening and will be back!
As always great but sadly 2 out of 3 courses for one of our guests where unavailable
We have eaten at many restaurants in London and this was one of the worst meals we had. The soup was tasteless. The main dishes (one fish and one meat) were presented on tasteless beans. The service was less than mediocre. Considering the cost of the meal, it deserves a zero rating if that was possible.
We have been eating at Vasco and Piero’s when we visit London for many years. The authentic Umbrian food is always excellent and the staff are very professional, but also friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Really good, generously portioned (in-house made!) pasta, old school feel. Anti-trendy, delicious, and worth a visit. This is a place you won't wonder, "Am I cool enough to be here?" - and that's a good thing.
Food good quality and well cooked. Value - abysmal. 3 small chops, a few tiny roast potatoes and 3 sprigs of broccoli. Dessert - 1 banana, sugar on top. flamed with a blow-torch with a dollop of ice cream.
All very simple and very quick to cook.
Price - £38.
Food good, staff excellent, but wine prices extortionate!
Great restaurant with amazing food and service! They change the menu daily so you’ll never be tired
Perfect for a quieter evening without music and big noise distractions. So catching up with friends for good food and wine was excellent.
Great little authentic Italian , we will visit again
A treasure in Soho. The staff are friendly helpful and welcoming and the food delicious in a very elegant but busy setting. Highly recommend
The staff were very helpful and patient given one of our company was over an hour late thereby delaying our lunch but extending our time to enjoy several glasses of delicious wine.
Great traditional Italian restaurant. Food is delicious, ambience good at comfortable round tables
Lovely discovered new little gem. Had a nice dinner with friends. Staff are very friendly and the food is delicious. Small place so not noisy as other Soho places. Do recommend.
A real gem of a restaurant. Lovely food, service and ambience. Would definitely recommend and is very popular judging by the queues at the door. Overall good value the only negative I can find is that I thought the main courses were a little pricey - but I'm nit picking as it was really nice, excellent food and wine.
A lovely authentic Italian serving fabulous food. Staff very friendly, service was very good!
Our waitress overheard me saying I’d have ordered the tortilini but not sure on the black truffle oil. When our meal arrived she brought the pasta dish out for me to try! Fabulous as was the tortilini and I will definitely be returning!
Great service, nice menu but didn't feel it was value for money £8.50 for a beer!
excellent italian food with great taste. Would definitely go back again!
Somewhat fully priced but a very pleasant restaurant and enjoyable meal
Perfection as always - a great team from front to back of house.
Authentic in every way. Family owned, they care and it shows. Have been a few times and will be back. Just terrific.
I introduced 3 new customers to Vasco's on Friday night and they were all enthusiastically delighted. Menu flexibility was excellent, the food was great and we had a wonderful dining experience
Little gem of an Italian restaurant on the western side of Soho. Authentic Italian dishes, friendly and efficient staff. Great place for a business lunch. Simple, fresh decor with starched white table clothes.
The mushroom tortellini with truffle butter was exquisite. Highly recommend for lunch a deux.
Our meal was excellent, the food was beautifully cooked and arrived in good time. We were not rushed and had a very comfortable table.
Overall, a lovely experience. Maybe more than I’m used to paying for a meal but then I don’t eat out that often. Loved the charming people who worked and ran the place. Nobody minded that we stayed for up to four hours! Very good standard of food.
My second visit and the food did not disappoint! Wonderful home made pasta, burata to die for. The Tuscan sausages taste amazing.
