This was my first time coming since the transition of new ownership and I was hoping the food quality would stillbe top tier. I was very happy to with the food, the seating, ambiance, and service. Charles, our waiter, was great. He delivered beverages and anythign else needed when asked. He continued to check on us and take away plates as needed without us having to find him. The price of the buffet and the amount of food and quality is unmatched. I was able to eat crab legs, shrimp, prime rib, and lamb for $49.50. And all of it tasted amazing. The breakfast options were just as tasty. I had a waffle with shrim and grits and you can tell the food was prepared and cooked with love and care. When I left I was full and so happy that I was able to come. I will definately be back and I hope to even try the regualr weekly menu soon.

Top restaurant in Peachtree City, comparable to fine dining establishments in Atlanta. Concierge-level service and delicious food in a retro-modern Roaring ‘20s atmosphere. Came here for my parents’ anniversary and Father’s Day brunch. My Italian dad was impressed with the food and the old-school hospitality—where your server greets you by name and takes your order without writing it down. IYKYK. Bravissimo!

Service was terrible. Food was okay. My fish was cold and dry. My husband’s steak was fatty. My daughter liked her pasta. We will not be back.

Great dinning experience overall. Service was outstanding. Brant, our server was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The crab cake appetizer is a must. My only negative comment is; the medium rare ribeye I order was prepared medium well. I’m sure they would have brought another, but it was still enjoyable. Looking forward to our next visit.

We have been looking for fine dining in Fayette County. We were huge fans of the old Due South before it changed to a seafood restaurant. We like the new ambiance. We like the new menu. Just a few issues 1. Menus were different. My wife had a menu that was different than mine. Maybe hers was older? 2. Menu items were incorrect. Mine stated the pork came with apple chutney but they changed it to a bordelaise sauce. 3. Pork came out raw in center. I am not disturbed but my wife would have sent it back. 4. Mushroom appetizer was swimming in cheese. The Good: Drinks were well done. I had an Old Fashion wife had a Mule. Flavors were very well done. Despite the temp my pork tasted amazing. Wife’s Chicken was excellent. I used the bread to eat the cheese from the mushroom appetizer and that could have been an appetizer on its own! Our server was very kind and attentive. She was new so not well versed with the menu. We had the carrot cake and wow way more than needed for two but was amazing. Overall the experience and flavor will have me come back. The temp and menu issues pulled it down which I hope they will fix. With drinks expect it to hit $100/person.

We had been to the prior incarnation of this place (Due South) a few times. It had closed for a renovation but we had not been back since then, until now. My wife noticed that their online reviews were trending well, so one Saturday morning she suggested dinner there. I checked their online reservations and found that there were still tables available for that evening. Parking is in the private lot for the small plaza where they are located. I think they start valet parking a bit later also. If the lot is full, you can probably park in the lot for The Avenue about a block away. We showed up around 5:30 p.m. and were seated promptly. The space was about half full at the time but slowly filled up more while we were there. After the interior update, we both agreed that the restaurant had more of a fine dining vibe than it did before. Our server showed up quickly and took our drink orders. They have an extensive bar menu and a variety of beers and wines. Their menu features a lot of steak and seafood (especially crab). They didn't have a pasta option other than lobster ravioli. My wife ended up getting the trout and I got a steak. We split a salad and also got a large shareable side of garlic mashed potatoes. We enjoyed all the food. Portions were average-to-generous. We ended up with a fair volume of leftovers to take home, as we agree to get a dessert. They wheeled out a cart with the samples. The cake slices were HUGE! We showed some restraint and instead got Key Lime Pie tarts, which were good. Prices were in line with local fine dining. It certainly wasn't the most expensive local meal I've had this year.

This was our second time and it was just as good as the first. Carlos was amazing and food did not disappoint. We will continue to return to Vanzants! The only issue that seems to persist is the inventory process, both times they were out of food we were hoping for. This seems to be common there and hopefully just a growing pain.
