   Vana Paia is a cool spot with excellent sushi, interesting appetizers and a short card of hot dishes. Very good, thoughtful service. We enjoyed our meal very much! Very reasonably priced for the high quality food.

   Loved the vibe and service was friendly and attentive. The issue is the food was mediocre - we ordered a few nigiris, and aside from the toro, nothing was fresh. The uni was the worse perpetrator, it was spoiled and we spat it out. Still a nice vibe-y restaurant, just stay away from the sushi

   The arrival at Vana was easy to access, had immediate street parking right in front of the restaurant(Rockstar). The tables and patio under the tree was amazing. Great vibe with music, hostess, and servers were all very accommodating. We were sat promptly, right before our early reservation. The specials and drinks were explained. Very knowledgeable about the Saki. The first mission was the Yellow Tail Collar, they had one left, deal and yes please. So succulent, perfectly cooked. The rolls were made quickly, hamachi was excellent, and location was perfect. It is off the noise and bustle of Pai"a. We had a wonderful time. It was a little pricy but consistent with so many other restaurants. The food was amazing. The staff was perfect. thanks for a good time tonight.

   Ambiance was nice, however sushi was mediocre for the price. We had some horrible mushrooms for our appetizer, sent it back, but not refunded or offered to refund. Many other much better options with better service and food. Would not recommend

    The sushi was good, service was good but the outdoor “garden” seating area was not so good. It was astroturf with black tarps overhead and our table was on a slant which made the entire experience a little off. Would definitely recommend sitting in the main dining area.

    Celebrated our wedding anniversary and also our first time here. Great food, chill vibe,and Tracy our server made our experience a memorable one. Loved the mushrooms, dragon roll, and cocktails.

    Vana is a wonderful spot in Paia for dinner. The fish is fresh and delicious. The host and wait staff were pleasant and knowledgeable and they have the BEST cocktail menu and cocktails in Maui. The bar program run by Jesse is unbelievable. Do not miss!

    Very disappointing! Made reservations for my bday dinner. Got a table in the back with a tarp roof. Sat across a party of 4 so loud I couldn’t hear the waitress talk about the specials. They didn’t have a few items on the menu that was pretty small already. Ground is slanted, table slanted. Food sauce gets pooled off one side of the plate. Food is wayyy over priced. Quality is ok wasn’t impressed. Oh and the waitress that brought out the appetizer spilled the sauce all over me and didn’t say a thing and left. Awesome Bday yayyy! 100% sure I will not be going back. 👎🏽

    Everytime i took a bite it was $5, you can get sushi just as good up the street and get 3x as much food. Hate paying over $100 and leaving hungry

    The restaurant is beautiful, server was nice but food was not great. The sushi was blah, considering the price it should have been really good. Everything just had a slightly off taste. Even the edamame tasted like perfume. Just not good
