Valor is an American-French Bistro that is bringing a new take on fine dining to downtown Glencoe. Our team creates our dishes from scratch daily. The menu will be constantly changing based on a seasonal market selection. The wine program was developed by a long time collector with the wish that our guests will be able to enjoy high quality wines, at approachable price points, with the exceptional food pairings. The cocktail menu was designed to complement many dishes including the world famous tuna crudo and flourless chocolate cake.

This is an upscale great place for lunch. The food delivered to the table is exactly what the menu describes. Everything is fresh, the menu is seasonal, and the service is exceptional!

Our first time here. We ate outside so noise was not a problem. The food and service (the genial able responsive Malik) were superb. We are grateful that we finally tried this gem! A couple from Winnetka.

The new menu items were outstanding in their flavors and execution. The scallops were excellent and the cantaloupe soup was enlivened with fresh mint and the salty crispy prosciutto provided classic flavors in a unique way.

I recently dined with friends outside on the sidewalk at Valor. It was delightful and much quieter than I previously experienced eating inside with friends.

Always great food - possibly good enough to call amazing. Great to see this neighborhood place doing well and continuing to serve great food. Noise is about the only complaint. The big front windows also make temperature control difficult for them. However, if you want great food and service, Valor has consistently delivered.

Enjoyed an early Sunday evening dinner following a matinee at the Writer’s Theater nearby. Cocktails were inventive and tasty. House salad (split) was light and refreshing. Seafood special was a whole branzino that was outstanding. The salmon was also excellent. Great service after a slow start (some confusion after we arrived as to who was serving our table. Would definitely make a trip back, just for dinner, and for sure will stop by after our next theater visit. Menu is small, but based on our sampling, the items are excellent.
