The food was excellent quality and the portions were more than plenty. The ribeye was cooked a perfect medium rare as requested.

The service was absolutely fantastic. I would go back just for the experience. The food itself left more to be desired. I feel like it lacked to be matched with the experience and service. I do find it to be very moderately priced. We were surprised when we got the bill, elsewhere it would have been well over a $175 meal with drinks, desserts. With all 4 courses and drinks it was only $73.

The service for dinner was outstanding. Our server, Avery, was very accommodating and made us feel welcomed. We sat in the outside area which was a nice setting. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The shrimp was cooked well but the grits were as if a can of Rotel were poured over them. Nothing special. My husband ordered the ribeye. He was disappointed on the cut of the meat. It was about 1/2 thick and cooked fair. His sides included potatoes and broccoli. Nothing special. The total meal and 3 beers was over $80 which we felt was overpriced.

Made reservations over a month ago, was seated with only 2 other customers in the dining room, who had already eaten their dinner. Husband ordered chicken fried steak, it took over 30 minutes to receive, it was burned and had no steak in the fried. Sent it back and order the filet, medium, 30 minutes later still hadn’t received. I had already finished my meal by this time. I approached manager and told him at this point my husband didn’t even want his meal. Having been over an hour since we had sat down. This was suppose to be a Birthday celebration for my husband and between this and having the spa cancel our massages at the Valhalla on the day we arrive, even though we had made reservation weeks before, it made for a very bad birthday celebration for my husband. Will never come back.

Ribeye was great. Service was great. Salmon was ok.

The server was great. While the food left a little bit to be desired, we enjoyed the experience.

We had an amazing time. The food and service were great.

Ordered one of the specials risotto with beef and the beef was as tough as shoe leather. Mostly gristle. When chef was informed, took 10% off. Meal was hardly edible. Would probably not go back.

My wife and I were the only ones in the restaurant, (REALLY the only ones). My wife ordered the southern fried chicken and I ordered Filet, wanting it med-rare. when the order was delivered the Filet was well done, and i asked for it to be sent back. 20 minutes later, after my wife had finished her meal, my filet came back out. Totally unacceptable having to wait 20 minutes when your the only people in the restaurant. The waitress removed the charge from the check, but she also told use this has happened numerous times before. Maybe its time you got a new chief.

The food was very good and the staff was very friendly & attentive.

The food was fabulous. I am not a fish person but the salmon was very good.

Very relaxing and beautiful atmosphere. We were seated in front of the fireplace and also had an excellent view of the mountains. Our server was so sweet and attentive, and the food was outstanding. I had the Steak frites....excellent ribeye!

Lovely restaurant just inside the entrance to the hotel . We had the chicken Marsala and filet mignon both were excellent. The smoked fish dip appetizer and Italian cream cake for dessert were also delicious. As luck (slow season) and reservation time (5 pm) would have it we had the whole restaurant to ourselves.

Service was great food was excellent , ambiance would of been better if fire place has been on.

We both had the steak frites and were very impressed, however, we were disappointed with the wine list which we found very basic with not enough emphasis on Old World wines. Overall we found the food menu a bit limited but we were pleased with what we ordered. Service was very attentive. Servers wore face shields in lieu of masks.

My experience at the Caledonia restaurant inside the Valhalla resort exceeded all expectations. My original preference was to have diner out in the town of Helen but we were a bit tired from traveling and thank goodness for that. The food was excellent, best I’ve had in Georgia. Same could be said about the cocktails. I was instantly hooked on the Rumchata martinis. As far as service goes, I honesty couldn’t have asked for any better. Will definitely be eating here again next time around.

Parking is inadequate if you don’t elect valet service. There were only two servers in the whole restaurant for the evening so they were both extremely busy and struggling to keep up. The food was just average and was not piping hot when it arrived at the table. I noted on the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and mentioned it again to the server and it never went beyond that. The most helpful people we encountered were the doorman and the gate attendant. Would likely never return based on first impressions.

The dining experience was outstanding with excellent food, amazing atmosphere, and exceptional servers (all wearing masks for Covid-19). We ate outside on the balcony overlooking the pool where they have heaters to keep the area warm. Tables were distanced at least 6 ft apart. The service was prompt with our appetizers and drinks. The main courses we had were the salmon. They were prepared to perfection, as they were very succulent, thick, and delicious. The sides were very good, as well. We would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return the next time we are in Helen, GA.

This establishment is a modest dining area of a genuinely lovely resort/hotel in Helen, GA. Amicable staff. The service is good. The food was delicious. My wife enjoyed her filet mignon and the sides. I enjoyed the pasta of the day, a jerked shrimp with bacon, broccolini, Alfredo sauce over fettuccine. It was cooked perfectly and very tasty. We shared the fall salad that was also very tasty.

Restaurant was much smaller than I expected. Limited menu. Food was pricey $23 for chicken Marsala. Ordered wine; first glass was a meager pour, second was heartier. Dined mid-week during Helen’s Oktoberfest. Only one other couple in the restaurant at 7:30 time slot.

We were one of only three tables occupied at the restaurant. There was only one staff person seating, serving etc.. I’m not sure if that was covid related or not. She was very nice but obviously couldn’t keep up with the three tables. Our food took over an hour to come out and it was only mediocre.

Valhalla is an amazing resort and this resturaunt is incredible. This was our second trip from Atlanta and we already booked Thanksgiving.

waitress was new (we think) to the job and a little slow. The staff seated another party of four next to us. They were extremely loud, and interrupted an anniversary celebration that would have otherwise been a wonderful experience.

Great atmosphere. Foot was just ok. I would def eat there again. Very nice evening looking over the mountains

My husband and I totally enjoyed our dining experience. It was our first time eating inside a restaurant and we felt very comfortable and safe. Our food was outstanding. I had the filet mignon and it was great and my husband had the Southern chicken which was the best fried chicken he'd ever had. The Caesar salad was wonderful. Our waitress was very engaging. We totally recommend this dining experience!

Caledonia restaurant was quaint and nice. We had reservation for outside dining at 7:00 but upon arrival 10 minutes early, was denied our reservation by the hostess/bartender. So we had to eat by the bar..... not what I wanted for my birthday dinner! Food was deceased but missing the vegetables as the kitchen was out of several items of food and wine.

Had a wonderful dinner on patio. Had goat cheese fondue and husband had chicken fried steak. Both were great
