The cocktail program reflects a respect for old world classic techniques as well as a selection of original new world cocktails with adventurous and unique flavor combinations. A section of our cocktail book focuses on hand selected small batch Gins and artisanal tonics.
Our food menu ranges from snacks to entrees meant to be enjoyed by the whole table. We currently serve lunch, dinner, brunch, late night dining, and happy hour.
For reservations of 7 or more please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note, we cannot accept reservation increases of over 6 guests without verbal confirmation.
We require the entire party to be in attendance in order to be seated.
It was good, but nothing too special. The drinks were nice and it wasn’t too loud.
Lovely decor; great ambiance; beautiful bar area; pleasant, professional servers; excellent drinks; good food.
This was my first time, and it was wonderful!!!!! Great cocktails, lovely service and good food.
Had a great pre-theater meal and some wonderful cocktails at the Valerie. Beautiful bar/restaurant, great find, we will be dining there again.
Wonder food and service. My husband and I went for our anniversary and truly enjoyed our experience.
I picked this restaurant based on reviews I read and they were all spot on. The staff was very nice, restaurant is beautiful and the drinks are amazing. We had a reservation for 8 and we were seated in the bar upstairs. Our waiter was pleasant and kept our drinks flowing. It was a really lovely evening. Very nice restaurant close to Times Square without the tourist vibe. It has a very hip NYC style/ambiance.
Tried this place for a decent mid-town option for pre/post theatre after seeing it featured on Eater. Service was mediocre, food was “fine”- it’s Mid-town, However our server messed up one of our party’s order, and when called on it refused to make it right or refund the cost. Not normal dining experience. When the bill was presented we put down cards without checking the bill, turns out we were only charged for our drinks and appetizers. Waiter charged our cards and then realized he forgot to include the entrees. We thought no big deal, everyone makes mistakes and it should be an easy fix. So he gave us a new full bill and said the charges would be voided on the first incorrect one (why not just give us the entree bill to pay separately?) but then when we asked for a receipt showing the first charge voided, he refused until we signed the second slip saying the system automatically would void our charge?!? He then stood and bad mouthed us with another waiter next to our table, after we said we wouldn’t re-pay until he could show he had actually voided the initial charge. Manager never stopped by to check with us, and upon leaving floor manager and hostess never Thanked us or wished us a good evening, even though they were both at the door/post. If you are going to masquerade as “fine dining” you need to learn manners. Will not return. Poor food and service for what you pay for (or are double charged for)
Fantastic food. Cool vibe. Fair prices. A great find.
I came here based on the recommendation on it having good gin drinks. Not only were there more options of gin and tonics (all good) than I have ever seen the good was great as well. I cannot wait to go again.
My second time at Valerie’s and it was just as good as I remember. We were in the alcove dining area. Perfect for conversation. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. And constantly refilling water and drink glasses. Our meal was outstanding! The presentation was great. We had a salad, cauliflower appetizer and a pasta dish. Perfect. Couldn’t be happier, and will definitely return.
I booked a table for 4 for brunch on New Years day, we arrived on time and ended up needing a bigger table. The hostess was friendly and accommodating, and we were able to get a table for 5 in a cozy corner near the back right away. The restaurant was busy, but it's very spacious, so the tables feel intimate. The drinks looked delicious, I can't wait to come back and try them when I'm not hung over from NYE. Our server was great, very helpful and attentive, and the food was delicious, very large portions and not outrageously priced for New York. We all loved our experience, it's definitely a fantastic place to bring out of town guests for a cool and elegant dining experience.
It took forever to get the bill. Our waiter kept looking past us. When we finally got the bill, it took a long time for him to pick up the credit card, run it, and return it to us. So frustrating. Food was good, though.
Excellent all the way! 5 star rating!!!
A little pricey, but o real a good experience.
It was a last minute reservation over the holiday week and it was perfect.
We had an excellent dinner before a show! The oysters were great, and our entrees were excellent! The drink list and wine choices are tempting, offering something for everyone. I would love to eat here again.
Great Brunch Spot! Korean BBQ Fried Chicken and Corn Bread Waffle was amazing!
There was live music at Valeries when my friend and I went for dinner and the group was amazing (it was guitarist Tomas Rodriguez) I hope they continue to invite that group to play. The live music added a beautiful atmosphere to the place.
Great location, Food was AMAZING, staff were great.
We chose to go to the Valerie because we thought they’d be live music 🎶 - the hostess said it would start at 7pm but unfortunately we were there until 9:45pm and they were just barely setting up. Food and service were both good but we were disappointed because the lack of music.
Incredible from the moment we walked in and to the last bite. Ambience piqued our interest and the food and service did not disappoint. The Diver Scallops were so incredible and cooked to perfection. The service from our waiter, Brendan, could not have been better. Both desserts, the Affogato and Smores Bar, were exquisite. The noise level was energetic but not too loud. The lighting was dim and forgiving without being too low. We were in and out without feeling rushed and had plenty of time to get to our show. Can hardly wait to come back.
Beautiful restaurant, very cozy seating area. Arctic Char and duck wings were excellent. Brendan the bartender was charming! Highly recommend!
Great ambiance, attentive staff and eclectic selection of food on the menu. Brought my daughter & the easily accommodated a few tweaks to the salmon for her. Would recommend.
Burger and pasta dish were excellent, as were the truffle fries. The apple pie fell flat...nothing special and needed a nice scoop of ice cream!
Service was slow. Food was ok. Very loud and drunk people.
Ventured to mid town to check out the Christmas tree as Rockefeller center and the winter village at Bryant park. This was perfectly located between the two and not super crowded (was a weekday however) We enjoyed everything we ordered very much and will definitely be back when i am looking for a spot in that area again. highly recommend the tuna tartar app.
Outstanding, great food, super service all on a nice setting.
We will definitely return.
Great burger. Music was loud. Parents are a little hard of hearing and it’s just tough to find a place for conversations in midtown. I asked to turn speaker down and I think she turned down one, but the place has a speaker every 4 feet. Sometimes you don’t need that at an early dinner. I’d go back though, just not with my parents.
First time at Valerie and would definitely return. Beautiful atmosphere - warm and cozy. Service was really great - friendly, accommodating and helpful - kudos for that. Food was also uniformly good. Interesting and fairly priced wines and cocktails. Good experience overall.
Really looking forward to having a lovely Christmas dinner with my friends and it was going pretty well except I ordered the Brussel Sprouts as an appetizer and there was some kind s of intense chili in it and it burned my lips and tongue so intensely - Had to ask waitress repeatedly to bring milk and bread. It’s 2 hours later and my lips are still burning a bit. It put a damper on the meal - other food was delicious but not a great experience at all.
My niece (bff) and I had early brunch on the Saturday before Christmas - in advance of some festive activities. We were very happy with the set up of the tables, the wait staff but mostly the food. I had their burger (which is a true burger - no silly patty) and a side salad (soft butter lettuce and endive). Cooked to perfection! My niece enjoyed a Croque Madam and fries. Yummy! Would definitely return.
We fell in love with the place immediately when walked in. Had never been to Valerie before, and knew immediately this was the perfect spot to celebrate our anniversary. Staff was attentive and friendly. Also, I loved that the staff brought us champagne for our anniversary. Might return tomorrow for brunch, AGAIN!!!
Great Brunch! Excited to have my favorite gin from Scotland. It’s hard to find in US.
Fun spot to grab a drink and dinner before a show! Drinks were a little slow but the waiter apologized and explained the bar was really busy. Food was tasty and fast and service was good! All in all a cute spot & I would recommend!
Attentive service, good food and nice ambiance. I enjoyed the Holiday decorations, and the happy hour.
The place is decorated so nice for the holiday. The bartenders are amazing, really impressive. Half our party of 7 was running a little late and they were nice enough to hold our table for us and they were very busy. The service was fantastic and the food was even better. Had the short rib that basically melted in my mouth. Some had the steak which was cooked to perfection and the Mac and cheese was really good as well. Overall a great, memorable experience and we WILL be back soon!
Valerie has an amazing holiday ambiance, delicious food and drinks and a great live jazz band- what more could you want? Great service you say? They have that too! You will enjoy your time by spending it at Valerie.
The food and environment was superb! Unfortunately, on the weekends, the lunch menu is not available till after 3pm. My grandchildren were looking forward to Mac & Cheese, but ended up with scrambled eggs and bacon.
Wonderful find in midtown. My two friends and I had a Saturday night dinner reservation at 8:15. Nice time to be there as some of the pre-theater crowd thins out. Beautifully decorated for the holidays. Lovely, warm vibe. Gracious service. Between the three of us, we had the burrata, the fig/prosciutto flatbread, the gorgeously tender short ribs and the salmon and loved every bite. Topped off with the profiteroles for dessert. My only quibble for the evening is that, for a gin bar (my favorite spirit), my G&T tasted only of tonic. I should have spoken up and regret not having done so. Does not change my overall rating, though. I look forward to a return visit to Valerie.
We enjoyed the atmosphere, food was very good, service was excellent.
