The cocktail program reflects a respect for old world classic techniques as well as a selection of original new world cocktails with adventurous and unique flavor combinations. A section of our cocktail book focuses on hand selected small batch Gins and artisanal tonics.
Our food menu ranges from snacks to entrees meant to be enjoyed by the whole table. We currently serve lunch, dinner, brunch, late night dining, and happy hour.
For reservations of 7 or more please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note, we cannot accept reservation increases of over 6 guests without verbal confirmation.
We require the entire party to be in attendance in order to be seated.
A bit too loud but not horrible . Staff was able to accommodate my gluten sensitivity
This place was amazing! The ambiance was quintessential modern NY wrapped in old, decadent NY decor (the marble bars were very French and very beautiful). We were greeted with smiles at the door and our server, Morgan, was gracious and accommodating. She took the time to explain and make some suggestions. We ordered French 75s which were mixed to perfection (the twist of lime gave that refreshing note much welcomed on such a hot September day) and the truffle fries along with the burrata cheese she greeted us with a warm smile after recognizing us from the previous day. The brunch menu selection was extensive and the portions were large enough to be shared! The avocado toast, the short rib hash and the shrimp in grits were incredible! I can't wait to return to NYC and hit up this spot again!
I had been here for lunch and it was very nice, with good food and service. I decided to come for dinner with a small group. It was so loud we had to leave without even ordering. Also, in scheduling the reservation I was offered a table upstairs as that was supposed to be quieter (it was not). When we arrived the hostess told us we could not sit upstairs "due to the circumstances." What circumstances? "Walk-ins were seated, other groups were seated." I.e., we just decided to give away your table! But just as well, because we didn't want to stay anyway. I'll go back for lunch, though, when it's not so noisy. The salad I had then was fresh and crunchy.
The broken cobbler and crab cakes were wonderful!
Brunch before broadway matinee . Menu has something for everyone... food was delicious, live jazz music, attentive service staff , comfortable atmosphere on my list of will return places.
Great decor, amazing live jazz music on Sundays, great service and food! Wish they would seat you closer up by the windows when you reserve and not all the way in the back, especially if it’s not full capacity. It was a but cold in the back as the ac vent us right above tables. Servers were great, overall nice experience.
Elegant interior design, amazing appetizers - especially the beef steamed buns and tuna tartare
Delicious food, duck wings are out of this world!!! Valerie Burger, flatbread and wedge salad with steak are delightful. The gin and tonic menu is an especially nice treat. Overall, I will and have sent quite a people here. You’ll love it!!!
Great team , super friendly
Good service, nice ambiance, average food
Great for a cocktail after work..always busy. Stick to the burger steak options. Menu says char siu duck wings they were actually duck legs and only mediocre. Also pasta was just okay. Ceviche was fresh and okay. Happy hour oysters good value. Cocktails are great
Food was good, but very overpriced. Limited wine choices. Restaurant is very noisy. Based on a recommendation we requested the back room which had an acceptable noise level. Martinis were served in small peculiarly shaped glasses, which made initial sips difficult and gave the appearance of not getting your money’s worth. We ordered duck wings which were in fact drumsticks. I would not recommend this restaurant for dinner.
Delicious food served professionally, with smiles.
Very attentive staff
If you have not gone for brunch you are missing out! First time there and we loved it, we did go at 1:30 PM so it was quiet when we went. Korean Chicken and Waffles was amazing.
The food was terrible and overpriced.
The waiter wanted to go home. Felt pretty rushed. Tried to take plates before we had finished.
Food was very good as was decor
While the food (and the cocktails in particular) were very good, it was way too loud to have a conversation which really ruined our dinner experience.
Fantastic spot in Midtown for a quick bite with a friend, business lunch, or drinks with pals. The hostess is warm, friendly and inviting. The service is excellent - attentive without being obtrusive. The food is tasty and ambiance lovely. Would recommend.
Great ambiance for a brunch. (And dinner too, but I went for brunch)
Had the berry compote pancakes and didn't need syrup because they were so delish.
Would highly recommend.
This was a hidden gem for Saturday Brunch... Just off the beaten path enough that it wasn't filled with tourists... Incredible food, even better drinks and a very patient, helpful wait-staff.
Add in the locale being meticulously kept with the 1920's vibe and I will definitely be making my way back here again soon!!
Very nice place, alive music. Good food. Recommend
Expensive Happy Hour. The bartender needs to make sure her wine glasses are steamed and polished before serving her guests. She wasn’t nice.
Would recommend for a dining experience--but only in the back room. Good food, good wine, good service. But the rest of the establishment is insanely loud.
We brought our two young daughters in for a quick happy hour bite after bringing them to their first Broadway show. The staff was amazing and the $1 oysters were delicious.
Super waitstaff. LOVED the very clean bathroom: so very atypical in NYC! Wine was a healthy 6oz. pour and a nice selection to choose from. Pizza was delicious but cheese tray with a happy hour price was underwhelming. Nonetheless, a very nice first-time visit with girlfriends.
Excellent as always
We had tickets for Moulin Rouge, and Valerie was perfectly situated, only 2 blocks away from the theatre.
We got there about 10 minutes early, and we're promptly seated, water filled, and drink menu offered.
My wife ordered a drink that was neither memorable or unexciting, but at $15, a bit steep. We also ordered the crispy smoked duck wings, which were quickly delivered. These "wings"(drumstick size) were probably the best thing I've eaten in several years. The meat fell off the bone, perfect amount of smoke, great crisp and the most delicious sauce I've had, maybe ever.
For dinner, I ordered the NY Soppressata flat bread, with buratta and Calabria chili oil. It was good. Nothing really stood out. Would have preferred a slightly warmer cheese rather than the fridge cold burrata place right on the flat bread, leaving that section a weird temp.
My wife ordered the tuna tartare, and loved every piece of it. Served on a ring of avocado, with blue tortilla chips, she cleaned her plate.
Overall, a fantastic dining experience, and we'll be back.
Ordered a bunch of small plates for the table to share and everyone enjoyed everything - cocktails included!
We had a great time for a relatively large party of various family members meeting up in the city for a fun, leisurely dinner. We had to wait a few minutes for our table that we had a reservation for but easily grabbed a drink at the bar, and bartender and hostesses were friendly and accommodating. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about cocktails and gin and tonic combinations and took the time to find the best option for everyone that asked for recommendations. The food was excellent and worked well as a sharing/small plates option. Great location, great ambience, great food, great drinks, great time!
A nice place in midtown with creative drinks and good food!
It was ok a good value
It took us a
Didn't love our meal. Drinks were basic and tender didn't understand how to garnish a bloody mary. Short rib hash was watery and had minimal taste. The avocado toast was good, however.
Excellent place. The Valerie totally fills the vibe, style and energy which has always been lacking in midtown.
Valerie has great food! Not a place to go for a turn up brunch as it is in Midtown near many businesses. But right around the corner from 42nd street so this would be a great place to have a meal before grabbing last minute Broadway tickets! The ambiance was a bit off...to be honest I felt like everyone in the restaurant was wondering how my friend and I ended up in there. Overall the staff was great and a good value for your money.
Very charming restaurant in mid-town which was great for a pre-theater restaurant. Nice menu for sharing and extensive cocktail list.
It’s a bar with a couple of side room. Very loud for only having 10 people in the room. Food was above average, service mostly attentive. Only real negative was both cappuccinos and latte came out cold for some reason
Place was very loud. We had to tell at each other. Food was okay but not great.
Beautiful gem of a restaurant hidden on 45th. Imaginative drinks with impeccable presentation.
I enjoyed the food here very much and the drinks were delicious. It's a bit on the pricey side, but the location is probably why. I found the back room to be extremely warm and it was 100 degrees outside so cranking the A/C would have made it much more comfortable. Overall, the service, food and ambiance was excellent and I would go back.
