AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could go every weeks!
Wonderful event and great memories! ♥️♥️
Our waiter was Raphael. He was extremely attentive and helpful. We could not have asked for a better brunch experience.
My Father proposed to my Mother at the Rainbow Room on Valentines Day in 1941. She accepted and he promptly departed for the rest of the war. He was a lieutenant in the Royal Navy and was sent to the USA to pick up a destroyer that was part of the “Destroyers for Bases” deal by President Roosevelt. They did not see each other again until 1947, after the war was over and he was able to get a green card to immigrate.
Needless to say...having brunch in the Rainbow Room 79 years later was quite an experience. Lots of memories here.
A beautiful spot to celebrate any special occasion, high atop New York City. The views are incredible at The Rainbow Room. Buffet selection was very good. Do with there had been a chicken or turkey option as I don't eat red meat or pork and it would have also been great to see some gluten free options on the buffet. The room itself was beautiful decorated and the atmosphere luxurious but welcoming. I would suggest that patrons should follow the dress code however. Seeing people in sweat pants and hoodies was a little distracting from the general dressed up appearance of all the other patrons. The venue itself deserves a little more respect than that. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it to others.
We were taking our son, daughter in law and baby grandson to brunch. I called ahead to make sure being in the baby was ok and the staff could not have been kinder. We had the most amazing experience. We have been at brunch many times but not with a baby. I must say he is a great baby and did not fuss once and loved his experience. The staff was phenomenal to our table. The food was exquisite and tasty. The seafood was fresh, the meats incredible including a roasted brisket that melted in your mouth. Desserts were off the chart and the S’mores bar was inventive and fun. The ice cream ruined me for life-no other ice cream could compare. This is a special venue , staffs by professionals who are engaging and friendly. Chefs are amazing and never disappoint . All staff from hostess station to the staff welcoming guests are so wonderful. This is my favorite spot in NYC and our little baby enjoyed his first upscale dining experience.
If you ever get a chance to go to their brunch do it !!!
The band was so loud, it rendered any kind of conversation impossible. The food was cold and the meat dish was undercooked. I had asked the hostess to have the band reduce the volume of the band to no avail. Overall this was a massive disappointment.
Very nice Venue and View
Band was great
Everyone of the guests were nice to each other
Great service from waitress
The appetizer was poor potato chip with dip ? - cod on toast ? Fois Gras lollipop ?
second course - one shrimp ?
main Rossini - a tough filet mingnon ?
Desert - deconstructed cheese cake ?
Wine was good at $90 per bottle
It’s a lovely evening. The food however is cold and the music while amazing is way too loud. Lovely evening. Just needs a little adjustment.
Fabulous DINNER DANCE venue -- probably best and most iconic in the world. As a NYC landmark, the Rainbow Room really has a responsibility to do MORE DINNER DANCES (than once a year on NYE). My suggestion? QUARTERLY DINNER DANCES open to the public would be a wonderful starting point (and RR management might even come to like them and schedule more). RR management, if you do it the same as you did it for this splendid Valentine's Day dinner dance, it'll be SOLD OUT every time, guaranteed. More, please.
Traveled from Michigan to visit daughter and her husband for 3 days and we all enjoyed the holiday brunch! Beautiful venue, delicious variety of food and a jolly Santa!
More chairs and low tables needed in the room used to await a table in the Rainbow Room itself, although the view is spectacular.
We had guests travel in from other states to have the holiday brunch.
We walked into the main room and there wasn’t ONE holiday decoration. Not a tree. No lights. Nothing festive. What a let down. Charge people almost $200 each (including mandatory tip) - and have NOTHING cheery, Christmas inspiring or uplifting.
I asked why the lack of any decorations and I was told there was a wedding the night before so they couldn’t decorate the room.
In previous brunches, they’ve had live musicians - a feature that made the experience special.
For the holiday brunch -no musicians and some canned music. They did have a Santa Claus.
Shame on the Rainbow Room for cheaping out and not making a Christmas (very expensive) brunch feel special.
I try to go every year and always love it but I miss the jazz band! Please bring back the band!
Everything was delicious. It had such a variety of everything from first bite to dessert. The view was amazing, and the Santa was a really nice touch.
Would recommend for anybody!
To be honest, we arrived and the when the hostess indicated that our table was literally at the entrance, when i had made a point of adding in the reservation comments fairly specific request. That table was declined by us and we then waited for about 20 min until someone from the Upper mgmt stepped in and personally ended up seating us. We love the room but my initial comment was , no omelet station? When i asked someone asked if I wanted one, when I indicated I did, when it finally came out it wasn't made with eggs, but some sort of eggbeater mix....We've been to the Rainbow Room a couple of times prior as well as my wife worked the Lunch crowd in the RR in the late 70's/80's. We knew what we thought we were walking into, maybe the better days have passed, not sure if I need to do this again.
Best brunch and NYC experience
It was absolutely wonderful. Make sure to ask for Jose C as your server.
A great holiday treat....the buffet was very good...could have had more vegetarian/vegan options but everyone was so helpful in getting us what we wanted, including the pastry chef gettin sorbet for our party member who is allergic to dairy....a simply stunning room
I would recommend it to people. But what was annoying is I waited half an hour for them to get a table. And no one came to us instead I went and asked for them to get us a table ASAP or we will leave. Everything else was perfect.
No live band
No lobster Benedict
No Christmas decoration
The view, service and the selection of quality food will make this a yearly family tradition
Outstanding brunch, superb food, impeccable service, and great ambience and environment.
A fantastic venue. I wish they would open the rainbow room more often for dinner. It was a great experience.During this visit, they had canned music; on a previous visit, they had live music. I like the experience with live music much better.
The room is great. Service excellent. However the food was below par, except for the desert section. The cooked vegetables appeared to have been sitting there for awhile and looked limp and oily. Similarly the salads which had dressing included. A lot of the other dishes weren’t exciting. The two expensive cocktails we ordered appeared to have barely any alcohol. Not value for money sadly
25th wedding anniversary, we got engaged there 25 years ago. We wanted to go back for dinner but all they have is holiday brunch. There was a lot of food but it was all cold nothing was really hot and it was just OK not worth the money. I was happy to be there because I got engaged there 25 years ago
Food was pretty decent but the service was horrendous. Waited 30 minutes to get sat even with a reservation, the waiting lounge had a bar setup but no bartenders so you couldn't even purchase a drink while you waited. We apparently had a server that was assigned to our table but we never saw him, had to flag down a busser for everything that we needed (water, drink orders, plate clearing, silverware refresh, check). Come here if you want to enjoy the room/space but don't expect much from the union labor service staff.
Lovery brunch - next time I’m in New York I will try booking it again
Spectacular!! From the moment we entered the Rainbow Room - the food, service, surroundings and Santa - everything was wonderful.
Loved the elegance of the room, food, and staff. It was an added bonus to have Santa onsite, and a great Santa with rosy cheeks and all!
All the food was COLD!!
The dessert bar ran out of fuel for the S’mores
One of the most beautiful and classic New York venues. The buffet is so stately and delicious! The dessert bar is great, and the ice cream bar is an extra touch!
Food was cold and nothing special. Service wonderful ! Room beautiful. I just think they need to pay much better attention to their food quality not Quantity.
Amazing brunch with options for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters. Beautiful ambiance and view. Do not recommend for young children as not worth it for the large price.
The holiday brunch was fantastic!!! The selection was huge from fresh seafood to many salads and carving stations
Pork belly and ham and fresh turkey!
Loved the Asian station , dim sum and tons of side dishes
Also the dessert wow it was amazing from the nitrogen ice cream to a s’mores station I felt like a little kid!
I really recommend this for everyone
The staff is wonderful they made our experience extra special! It’s definitely pricey but worth every dollar!
Only thing they should have had lobster or caviar would have been a nice touch!
The special thing about this is the location, which is stunning. The decor inside is also beautiful.
Wait staff were friendly, but could have been more attentive/available. We had to wait a while to place drinks orders sometimes and get plates cleared and new cutlery.
Food is good, but not amazing for the prices. The Asian selection was disappointing - not well cooked and looked unappetising. The dim sum were chewy and not warm enough. The pasta course wasn’t great either. It was a bit congealed/overcooked. The roast meats were really good as was the dessert station.
Cocktail selection was good, but I would have expected more choice of wine by the glass. Or at least more variety of locations rather than all being local.
It was a nice experience, but I think for the price there is a lot better food out there. You are paying for the location.
