The best! Staff was really good and helpful. I proposed my girlfriend here and staff helped me in great deal.
Lasagna you should try when they have on the specials , is the best ever , with excellent service , all the staff remember your name and treat like a family
It was packed Saturday night when we came in , we still enjoy our dinner , the porter house steak was amazing , they do the best crab cakes , with implacable service
Tony makes the place so warm and lovely. He welcomes you like a dear friend. He is the "face of the place". The food is great and a good value for the neighborhood. The low lights and candles make the atmosphere nicer in winter so it's not so bright overhead.
Great! Nice neighborhood spot for grown-ups. Bar too small.
Old hard bread is not a good first impression.
They were not really friendly and did not tolerate children, even though they were well behaved.
Not going back.
Terrific food on the Brunch menu and great value too. So good to have Vago in Murray Hill - way the best restaurant in neighborhood. Great value, great staff and owner.
Tony and his team are amazing , they remember your name and they treat you like a family , it was packed Saturday night , beautiful atmosphere and music is amazing , you should experience the birthday celebrations they do here :) food as always is excellent , this time we try the basket parmigiano with arugula and w walnut salad, and for main course the black truffles gnocchi and the tuna fish sp , every thing was excellent cooked to perfection ..
Very solid neighborhood place, with good food and service at reasonable prices
Vago has been our second home , great staff and always excellent food
Best Italian restaurant in Murray's hill , new location with beautiful design place , excellent food and service :)
We were desolate when our favorite Murray Hill Italian restaurant, La Giara, closed. Now Vago Restaurant has taken its place as the go-to white tablecloth, excellent service, delicious food at a reasonable price venue. It's quiet even when filled with diners, friendly, and very tasteful. (I just hope it doesn't succumb to the Third Avenue tendency to wreck a delightful restaurant with loud music. )
It was packed Saturday night , but still they manage to give us a table , the lamb shank cooked to perfection , orecchiette with broccoli rabe and sausage was amazing , excellent service . Thank you vago
Brunch was very crowded , the mushroom burger was very good and tasty and the scallops Benedict as well , service was excellent :)
Great food great service
New place , same excellent food
Lovely overall. Tony greets you and makes you feel like an old friend. Wish the owner would talk to the patrons.
Very accommodating place with excellent food as nd service
They were so accommodating, esp as we stayed prob later than they wanted. We’ll be back.
It was packed Saturday night , always excellent food , best chicken parmigiano and veal Martini :)
Outstanding as always , veal chop parmigiano and lasagna must have these 2 , with implacable service
Spaghetti mare monte with shrimp , calamari and sea scallops outstanding , veal chop parmigiano one of the best in the city
Great food and service and a pretty but low key place. Perfect for a family birthday dinner - or any night.
Chicken parmigiano and lasagna the best in town, with implacable service
Good service, but the food was average at best.
Very good service and ambience. Very few vegetarian options.
Excellent as always
We came for lunch , it was excellent , the beets salad very fresh and tasty, the fish sp branzino was excellent with a lot of flavor , and of course they have the best tiramisu .
This new place it’s quite noisy, But food still good.
Best Italian restaurant in Murray's hill , from food , service , everything is excellent
I have dinnier Sunday night with my wife at vago , exellent as always , we start with portobello mushroom stuff with crab meat appetizer , it was amazing this appetizer melt in your mouth , for main course we did the squid ink linguine with gulf shrimp and the rissoto with scallops sp, we finished our dinner with the homemade tiramisu ( the tiramisu is the best in town :my wife order another one to go for my daughter who lives 2 blocks away from restaurant) and of course tony the manager gaves us 2 of his complimentary homemade Orange cello . it was an amazing dinner .
Was very busy when we came for dinner on Saturday night , we try the octopus and the burrata sp , and we share the lobster fradiavolo with shrimp and clams , everything was amazing , excellent service , thank you gino and jaime for your hospitality . Thank you vago for your dinning experience
Best lasagna ever , beautiful design place , beautiful vibe too
Our visit was on 11th September. Only 3 other tables were taken and they soon left so there was very little atmosphere. The service was polite but we felt very rushed. As we were eating as they took the flowers off our table, and the candle as they were clearing all the tables as well as they were nearly closing (at 9:30) we had bought wine and felt we had to rush finishing it so they could get us out. The food was average and the total cost very high ( we are from the uk and a similar meal in London would have been significantly less expensive and not just because of the exchange rate) They did give us a complimentary orange liqueur which was a nice touch but again we felt very rushed. It was our last night in NYC so was supposed to be a special meal....it wasn’t. Sorry.
Very noisy w/ young crowd
Grill lobster tail sp with grill vegetables was amazing , and halibut light pesto cooked to perfection . The restaurant was packed I recommend reservation when you get in
The reviews were good so we booked. Unfortunately on our night the staff were setting up for what looked like a big party coming in, this was while we ate and it spoiled the ambience for us. The food was nice, no complaints there. But be aware of the extortionate charges you are not made aware of at the time such as $16 for 2 x bottled water, it’s water! The wine starts in the $30 range so we asked for the house red, it was awful, really full bodied and not the usual easy drinking house wine. Also be aware you have no option to choose how much gratuity you award, based on the disruption and lack of attentiveness we would have paid lower than the compulsory 20%. Overall we wouldn’t go back.
Great restaurant , st bass fish sp exellent , they have the best octopus with avocado pesto , very good wine list with a lot of selection. Very warm and hospitality by the owner he stop with every table to see everyone have a good dining experience
nice quiet place with very good food! would definitely return
Great Sunday Brunch
