V-Eats Modern Vegan at Trinity Groves
Ok food, have had better vegan cuisine elsewhere. But service is horrendous. Don't expect to get a menu for at least 5-10 min after you sit down. Not sure if this place is lacking servers, but there seems to be a lack of attentiveness and friendliness from the staff. One of my kids accidentally dropped his glass and it shattered in his plate. No one came by to see if he was ok. No one came by to wipe the table. No one came by to remove the broken glass and napkins my wife and I used from neighboring tables to wipe everything down. Unbelievable. And that was just the first 30 min of the meal! When our meals came out, the wrong dish came for my wife so she turned it away. The waiter came back with the plate and tried to convince her it was what she ordered, until it finally dawned on him that it was meant for the table next to us. Last but not least, we waited 15 min for the check.
V-Eats serves great Vegan Food with a focus on extracting the most flavor from their foods. They have a small kitchen and have a tough time keep up with orders. Be Patient, good food takes time. If they could unlock the service this could easily be a 5 Star restaurant.
The service was good and the food was delicious 😋. I will recommend to others. I will also eat there again.
I want to like this place a lot more than I do. The food is good but some menu items can be outlier-esque expensive when compared to others. Additionally, service is pretty spotty so you'll need to give this place multiple chances before you make your final decision on it.
The waiter was friendly as always, and he did his best. Somehow the adult food ticket was “lost” and we waited nearly 45 minutes for our food. Luckily our two boys, ages 4 & 6, got their food first so a complete disaster was avoided.
The food is always good but every time I come here there's some drama. This time there were three things wrong on my order and they forgot to bring my drink. Also they bring out only one plate at a time so my mom got her food way before I did and one of the parts of my meal came out when I was already half done eating.
I came to V-Eats for Mother’s day with my mom and my dad and we LOVED it! I’m vegan and my parents are vegetarian (in transition to veganism) and it was great trying something new. It being our first time, we didn’t know what to expect, but we were very happy about it. We’re definitely coming back and DEFINITELY telling our friends about it.
I am a vegan and my husband is not. This was a great place for him to see that eating vegan can absolutely satisfy and feed the body, mind and soul.
He had a great experience and we will be back!
This was my first time eating here. I saw this place a couple of months ago and decided I would try it. I really like waffles and have a place I typically eat them. I'm making an effort not to eat meat and the Oyster mushroom (Chicken) and Waffles are outstanding!! They actually taste like oysters. The dish was fresh, hot and delicious. The kitchen takes time preparing each dish, if you're hungry may need to order an appy as they don't offer anything while you wait.
I love v eats for providing upscale vegan food but the service is not up to par :( I was the only person at my table not given a water cup and didn’t get one till after food came and the waiter seemed annoyed I wanted one. It’s a busy restaurant I understand but I just really wish the service matched the food
Would I recommend this restaurant, is a hard one. I probably won’t go back. Had a reservation but ended up waiting about 12-15mins. The host did not seem to have a sense of urgency to get folks seated and there were plenty of available seats. Our wait person was great though.
the service was terrible, we walked in not really knowing where we went to get seated. there were two employees standing around looking at us and didn’t greet us or say a word. we then asked them if we could seat ourselves or if we had to wait. it wasn’t until then that they asked our name. when we were finally seated they told us our waiter would be with us soon. seemed like 10 minutes went by and no one arrived. finally we just got up ourselves and went and asked for menus. if it were just for the service we would never be back. but the food was amazing! so good! if you’re willing to wait around for a while then i’d recommend.
The food was delicious, the service was warm and friendly. I enjoyed the food, ambiance and drinks.
The food is always so decadent and delicious. They were very accommodating to my preferences and the service is always served with a smile.
Since my wife became vegan over a year ago, this has become one of our favorite spots. The chicken and waffles were great for brunch.
The food was amazing! We only had two full-time vegans out of our party of six, but everyone was happy with their order. Get the chicken and waffles. You will not regret it! Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, but the kitchen was a little slow. It was Easter brunch though, so we were not in a hurry.
The reason for four stars, because they only have one restroom
I love this restaurant and can’t wait to go back! The brunch menu was OUTSTANDING and so is lunch and dinner
Definitely recommend even if you are not vegan , but if you are vegetarian like me it’s great to be able to have EVERYTHING on a menu!
You can't believe it's Vegan!
We waited for 45 mins to an hour before we got our food. The waiter didn't come to the table to ask if we needed anything, and forgot our drinks repeatedly.
The food was ok, but the service was not great. The bartender was doubling as our waiter, and it took him a really long time to get us our menus, drinks, and take our orders. He was filling bar orders in between taking care of us. The worst part was the skimpy glasses of wine. They could not have been more than 3 ounces. We would have complained but had taken our daughter there for her birthday and did not want to make a fuss. Will no go back.
They seem to be a little understaffed this time; the kitchen was slower than usual. But food was great!!
Food was very good; it's nice to find vegan food in Dallas. However, the service was very slow, even though very nice servers. And it wasn't the food that was slow -- that was to be expected and it is even written on the menu that it may take a while. Getting drinks, or the server to come back by, was very slow. And there were only 4 tables that full at the time we were there. Also, one picky note -- the surfaces were dusty and the table was sticky. So that was a little off-putting. Overall we probably will go back for another casual meal, but won't have high expectations for service or cleanliness. Because it is vegan and the food is very good!
Food taste good ,but some items were burnt. Customer service was good, but felt rush at times. Overall I would go back.
The food was great and the server was also. I had a great experience with my family and definitely will be visiting again.
A beautiful restaurant in a really cool upscale area of Dallas. Fantastic, delicious healthy plant-based options!
Excellent food, excellent service, and a wide variety of tasty vegan options.
Great vegan food and service. Really enjoyed the frito nacho pie. Definitely coming back soon
Great food. Great patio. Service was a bit lacking with our waitress. But overall great experience.
This was my first time at the restaurant and eating vegan food. The place was nice. Didn't care for the dog friendly environment on the patio, even though it's only limited to outside and wish they would look into providing some type of straw for the drinks. The service was VERY slow, especially since the place wasn't crowded, but once we were acknowledged the service staff was good. The food was very good, the Jack Ruby drink was DELICIOUS and I will return.
When we arrived we stood there while at least 4 staff was standing by the bar and were not greeted at all. Then a man told one of the women to seat us, she didn't seem happy to do this and she sat us and handed us these disclaimers about not giving refunds if you don't like the food, so on and so forth and no menu. We sat there for sometime with no menu, and it was not busy, as we came when they opened and we had a reservation. We finally get a menu and all 3 menus had different items on them. And when we asked which was right, the waiter just said and pointed "that one" and walked away, he didn't even give us 2 more correct ones. We then find out even the "correct" one was still wrong. Anyway, we ordered drinks, they were decent. We ordered a waffle, the "Chicken" Fried Steak and the BLTA. One great thing about the food is it came out quickly, it was nice and hot and it looked really yummy.
Although it looked appetizing... it was just okay. The waffle was decent but had some kind of after-taste, the fries too. The bacon on the BLTA was not crispy and was just okay too. The Impossible "chicken fried steak" was okay and we didn't eat it all, it fell apart. The tofu eggs were to soggy. The hash browns where the only good thing for me. My husband and daughter liked the fries though, cause they ordered 2 more sides of them, as we didn't finish the "Chicken" Fried Steak plate and my hubby was still hungry.
I've been to MANY vegan restaurants, nationally and internationally and this one just does not cut it.
We had brunch here and the food was amazing. My husband got the chicken fried chicken and eggs. I️ had the migas. Both were delicious. We ordered coffee which tasted fine but was luke warm at best. That was my only complaint. Not a big deal. Will definitely be back.
Was there to celebrate my birthday but it turned out to be a bad experience. The server seemed uninterested in talking to us. He made us feel bad because he would gladly talk with tables around us but he avoided our table all together and said maybe two words to us the whole time. He would walk away without saying anything and without giving us a chance to ask for anything. He brought the wrong drink and didn’t apologize or give me any indication that he would fix it. The right drink came out when we had already finished our food and were ready to go. This was our first time here and we probably won’t be back. Very sad about my crappy birthday dinner.
Even if you feel you have no room left, you MUST order the banana pudding dessert!!! Amazing, never tasted anything like it!
Food is great, service is kind of slow but the wait staff is always friendly. Recommend making a reservation or you will have to wait a while for a table.
Absolutely LOVED V-Eats. My husband and I shared the chili con queso and for meals we had the fried chicken sandwich (buffalo style) which was AMAZING, and the chicken fried steak with Mac and cheese which was equally as delicious. Our waiter, Ian, was very attentive and friendly. We had a wonderful chat. The only reason I gave the food 4 stars instead of 5 is because the veggies that came out with my chicken fried steak were cold. That was a bummer but over all, this place was amazing. I asked my husband if we could visit every weekend!
The ambiance and service were great. We opted to sit on the covered patio under the heaters and it was comfortable and not as noisy as inside the restaurant.
The food was tasty, flavourful and well presented. I found the "fried chick-non" to be overly salted but the mac n cheese was delicious.
I would like to go back and try something different - the menu has many options and it's very exciting for me, as a Vegan to see a whole menu of food that I can order and eat.
Really enjoyed the service and the unique vegan options! We will definitely be back the next time we’re in town.
Not really. Food was expensive compared to the service and food received.
Amazing cruelty-free food, the power of plants is amazing! delicious food!!! #vegan #animalsarefriendsnotfood
