At just one year in to my vegan lifestyle, I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. I was highly disappointed in the paucity of dishes highlighting beans, legumes, and vegetables, with more of a reliance of items like seitan, which I don't particularly enjoy. My son and I both ordered the bean patty, which was on the menu, and were told that it was not available. Also, although our party of 3 ordered cocktails, 3 appetizers, and 3 entrees, I was surprised to find that they wouldn't comp a dessert for my birthday. All in all, not a great experience, and we are not likely to return.
Food was great. I am not vegan or vegetarian but loved the food. Chili con queso was quite good.
Sunday Brunch was amazing here, and they had incredible food
I went with a party of 8 to celebrate a birthday. We had reserved 6 online but Troy, the chef, kindly helped accomodate us in anyways. Management was super nice and helpful. Our waiter, on the other hand, went from friend to enemy when we told him we were trying out vegan food for the first time. He labeled us omnivores and quickly became rude from there on out. He never brought out our drinks and instead resorted to have a drink himself. We were not aware of the no-straw policy and when we asked he rudely shunned us for asking even though my cup had lip stick stains from a previous guest. After 2 hours of never hearing from him, we finally ate. It was the longest wait ever. It was even more suspenseful because we had never tried vegan food before. The experience was bad and all my friends quickly decided against the vegan lifestyle. Our waiter ruined that for them and even me.
The restaurant was crowded and attempted to accommodate by opening up the outdoor section on a very cold and raining night. Would go back if heat and seating arrangement was adequate.
Great food, the sitting was a little tight but overall it was a great dinner.
Super spot, friendly staff and quality, inventive offerings. A few nagging details, but a very good experience.
We went to V Eats for a Valentines date and had the best experience! My husband is vegan and I am not, so sometimes it’s difficult to get food we both like, but V Eats was perfect for both of us!
Was ignored for 30 minutes asked to speak to a manager was gotten waters another 15 minutes after that food came out soggy when we have eaten there before and it was great was offered a free dessert to apologize and it came out called in the middle.
We went to the Valentine's Day pop up, and it was a complete disaster. It was in all honesty the worst dining experience I've ever had. We arrived for our 7 pm reservation and waited an hour before we were seated. When we were seated, our server paid us little attention, could never remember what we ordered, and delivered our food to the wrong tables. Our first course arrived before our waters did (more than 20 minutes into our dinner), and the salad was bland while the soup was over-peppered to a point of being nearly inedible. It took another 20 minutes to receive our cocktails, which arrived with our entrees (an hour into our dinner). We had another issue of one meal being extremely bland while the other was so over-salted that it actually was inedible. Our dessert was served to us within 5 minutes of receiving the entrees, and the ice cream was already melted on the plate.
Aside from the food, poor service, and long wait, it also seemed as if the restaurant had given up. They got rid of everything that gave the place a semi-romantic ambience from the flowers on the tables, to the table cloths, to the lit candles on the tables. I watched as they bussed the tables who sat before us and put all of these niceties away. We were also seated so close to our neighbors on each side that the six of us couldn't help but overhear each others conversations and then insert ourselves within those conversations. It wasn't exactly the romantic evening we had planned as we shared our intimate meal with complete strangers.
We had been so excited to try V-eats and were really looking forward to the evening. One of the diners next to us frequents the restaurant and tried to convince us the regular restaurant isn't this terrible, but this was such a disastrous evening that neither of us ever want to risk going back.
After waiting for 35 minutes for a table I had reservations for, we got a seat at the bar. We waited for another 30 minutes and we weren’t offered so much as a water. We finally were seated at our table and eventually were offered something to drink. The food was ok, our server was new but she was very good. Probably the only redeeming part about that entire experience.
To be fair, the actual staff was as attentive as they could be considering the circumstances. We had a large party, appetizer and entrees did not come out all at once. We had members of our party finished with appetizers or dinner before other members received their food. The wait staff was nice and courteous but it was apparent there was breakdown between wait staff, bartender, and kitchen.
The food was good. I was looking forward to amazing food but was surprised to the overall taste. There were a couple of people in the party who’s food was cold.
I would consider going again after a while. I’m not sure if this place is new and still working out the kinks but that is what it felt like.
I enjoyed the food and often come by myself, this time I wanted to share vegan food with my family and treat them to dinner and drinks. We felt rushed and it didn’t feel like the relaxing end of week dinner with family I wanted. Food was amazing, as always, but I’m not sure if I’ll bring a crowd of my loved ones. More of a lunch or date place.
Delicious food anyone would love!
Delictable vegan food!! Enjoyed by a vegan and non-vegan!! I have recommended this place to friends who are transitioning to a more plant based diet!!
The food and service were excellent. I'm not a big fan of some of the tables being so close together, even adjacent to one another. My partner and I dine here together, and we typically get seated at a small two-person table right next to another large table that's occupied. It makes the experience less intimate. I enjoy the beer selection and hopefully you will expand it in the future. The food is creative and, quite frankly, unbelievably delicious.
The Chili was to die for! Very flavorful. Loved the brisket tacos as well! Did not really enjoy the hibiscus tea. But otherwise a wonderful evening.
Amazing place to eat food is always on point. Sometimes its super packed and sometimes it not. We go here alot
Love this place!! Delicious food, must try the avocado rolls!!
It was small and crowded but overall excellent place. My first time going and the food and service did not disappoint. Just really crowded and tables seemed to be right on top of each other. I didn’t mind because I love to watch people but for some who like space and elbow room it was limited.
LOVED THE FOOD! LOVED THE MUSIC! LOVED OUR WAITRESS! I'LL DEFINITELY BE BACK!
Food was not seasoned well. Grits need to be offered without cheese. Sausage was good but vegs were terrible.
My boyfriend and I recently went here for our anniversary dinner and loved it.
Our waitress was incredibly kind and helpful and was very willing to explain all of the menu to us. She was very enthusiastic about vegan food and sharing it with others. My boyfriend and I are both vegan so we knew a lot about most of the menu items, but she did a good job of explaining the flavor and texture of items to other non vegans at surrounding tables.
I went there for my anniversary and we had a great time overall everything was excellent the waitress was excellent she was willing to help us through the whole thing with what was on the menu with the things that was new and she was willing to answer every question we had for her something simple as what was the name of the food to what was in the food I will give it 5 stars we will be coming back again by the way the head kitchen chef recommended it to me when I went to one of her classes all thumbs up
Waiter could have checked on us more and make sure we were okay.
Great apps and desserts! The brisket is hands down the most amazing vegan meat I’ve ever tasted. We weren’t real impressed with our entrees but we’ll gladly return for everything brisket on the menu. Waitress was incredibly sweet but not very attentive. We waited quite awhile for refills, to order desserts, and for the check.
Our waitress was so sweet, and as vegan I was surprised to find so many options on the menu! Thanks so much!
Great vegan choices. I was surprised at the flavors. Potentially too much fried food i. The menu, but it was great. Nice date spot.
The menu is smaller than when we came last year and I long for more dessert options. But I love this place!!
We had a great experience. My only suggestion is to bring the music levels down a bit. We were almost screaming to hear each other.
Nice meal on the patio, great service.
Very good food for thanksgiving, my waiter was rude and wasn't a good listener kept getting our order wrong wasn't only rude to me but my date as well made it uncomfortable for us. I been to V-eats two other times and had good service along with good food but this recent visit disappointed me.
The event was not ready when we arrived. They were whispering loudly that they did not have sections and were not sure where to seat guests. It was not very busy and our food took 40 min to arrive. The food was okay . The Brussels Sprouts were not browned and did not have flavor. The pot pie had a bread on top that was very white and not very tasty. Overall, I was very disappointed for the price. I would have been okay with the wait if the food was fantastic. The host was not friendly and seemed overwhelmed. The winning part was the delicious dessert and our server was kind.
V-Eats is fantastic. The meal & service were phenomenal, the wine list serviceable and the cocktails delicious. A new high bar for what an all vegan restaurant can be!
First time V-Eats diner, but certainly not my last!! I chose to come here on a whim for my birthday and I’m happy I did!! Restaurant has a nice vibe, good ambience. Great range of food and beverage options. I look forward to coming back, especially for weekend brunch!! Thanks for a great experience!!
Everything just OK...service was probably lowest part of experience. Difficult time getting water refills. Server never checked to see if everything tasted fine or if there was anything else he could get us. No desserts or after dinner coffee or drinks offered. He took our order...didn't talk up appetizers. We ordered one just because it sounded good from the menu. We did have a question about the appetizer and he could answer that. I really wanted a fun, tasty dining experience for my vegan daughter, but walked away disappointed. The faux barbecue sandwich was dry...pickles and pickled onions, and fries though were very good. Still on the hunt for a really great vegan restaurant.
Our plan was to have Birthday Brunch but there is no full brunch menu on Saturday.
The website needs to make people aware. We still enjoyed our food and had a great time.
Even the skeptical meat eaters enjoyed their food. We will be back!
Really great food, even for non-vegans! We took some friends to V-Eats before heading to the Symphony. They really enjoyed the great food and location. As a recent vegan, my husband was shocked at how great the food options were. This is our second visit and we plan to make it a regular spot.
Wait time for our food (party of 4) was right at an hour and we placed our order at 5:15pm on a Saturday afternoon when the restaurant wasn't yet very busy. And as far as the food goes, I've had far better vegan food elsewhere for a much better price.
